  1. I’m taking a break from SDA for a while. I can’t believe that anyone could support Donald Trump, even if I do realize that he will sadly and most likely be there for a while yet. Nobody, absolutely nobody can be that ignorant, and not be hospitalized.
I think what happened in Hawaii today (False nuclear attack warning) should be a wake up call for all of us. And to think that Trump is the guy with the nuclear codes in his briefcase.
See you all in a while.
PS: I’m taking delivery of a new car next week. NO, it’s not ”Made in the USA.”

  2. Sask Watch,
Well, boy, howdy. How to respond. Let’s see, let’s see…
First, the USA elected him. Yay USA. He’s a Yuge amount better than your idiot dhimmi Prime Minister. By a Yuge amount. At least Trump sees the actual problems and is willing to act to deal with them. So far, he’s done a fantastic job. I’m personally looking forward to another 7 years.
As to Hawaii, well, that problem was caused by the socialist government of Hawaii, having nothing whatsoever to do with Trump or the rest of the nation (well, maybe California, but they’ve fallen down the socialist rathole a while ago.) It was a dumb public employee in Hawaii’s emergency management agency that screwed up. And it was the US military that deconfirmed the supposed attack and sent out messages correcting this mistake, oh, about 20 minutes before the socialistic state of Hawaii got around to saying, “Oops, our bad, sorry, nothing to see here, move it along.”
And it was the great president, Bill Clinton, who managed to actually lose the nuclear codes for months.
So, in conclusion, go Trump. Please continue to try to fix the mistakes of those that came before you.

  3. Police Hunt Down Facebook Users Who Made ‘Offensive’ Comments About Muslim Grooming Gangs Online
    by Virginia Hale13 Jan 201816,617
Northumbria Police have warned that “offensive” comments on the Internet will not be tolerated, tracking down users who made “potentially criminal” posts on social media about grooming gangs.
The force launched an investigation into comments left on its Facebook page in response to articles about the Operation Shelter scandal, in which young white British girls in were groomed, sexually abused and trafficked by mostly Muslim men of South Asian descent in Newcastle.
Officers made a review of every comment on the page after a member of the public complained that a number of posts referred to the race and religion of the 18 people convicted following the operation.
ChronicleLive reports that police recorded two cases of racially aggravated public order offences among responses to the news articles on Facebook, and have now tracked down six people responsible for posts “deemed to be offensive and potentially criminal”.

  4. Men’s skirts? I doubt they’ll go over well in many parts of Canada, at least not as a general fashion item. The cold snaps like the ones we’ve had this winter might make nonsense of that.

  5. Don’t be so sure, soy boys will get to blame the cold when the wind plays with their garments.

  6. In the current climate of sexual harassment mention of something like this might help make such garb unfashionable
UK Man to uncle “Uncle I’m thinking of joining the army”
Uncle “Then join a Highland Regiment my boy. The kilt is an unrivaled weapon for fornication and diarrhea ”

  7. Trump is the best President in the past 100 years and that includes Reagan.
Must hurt to be so wrong.

  8. Open your eyes. Trump is a doer, not a talker.
Yes a New York developer is rough around the edges, get over it snowflake.
& trump had nothing to do with Hawaii

  9. Hope your new car is a vehicle to great joy and happiness. Sounds like you’re going on a driving vacation somewhere other than the US (if you are picking up the car from manufacturer, I’m guessing Europe). Take lots of pictures and observe the slide into the shithouse.
Like cars, all people disappoint at some moment, but I’m certain you’ll come back with a deep appreciation of Trump.

  10. Gee Sask Watch, that’s your 3rd post about your imminent departure? We believe you already.
You remind me of a friend. Four days out of five he is beside himself because of Trump. I tell him that maybe he should check out some other source besides the Canadian and American media. That really sets him off because according to him I don’t see the truth about Trump and I’m being stupid.
When everything one sees about something is slanted towards a particular point of view perhaps one’s perception can become just a tad unbalanced.

  11. I suspect our PM will be a pace-setter for the men in skirts fashion statement. It will be a great opportunity to better show off his cute socks.

  12. A profane sign posted outside a gas station west of Edmonton targeting the Alberta NDP and Trudeau government over the carbon tax has attracted attention from across the province.
“I drove two hours today to come and see this sign,” said Tia Duplessie, who drove in from Mayerthorpe, Alta. Wednesday morning. “I had to come see it for myself.
    https://globalnews.ca/news/3944191/crude-alberta-gas-station-sign-takes-aim-at-premier-notley-trudeau-over-carbon-tax/
Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) does not condone or support this message. As soon as notification of this message was received, the independent business owner was asked to remove it immediately.
Truth hurts I guess. At least this independent gas station owner has some brass ones.

  13. Come back, Sask Watch, come back. We don’t want everyone thinking alike here on every issue. I also like to try to figure out why Trump haters are Trump haters, so I appreciate your point of view. I know Trump is tasteless and blunt, but I think that is much in line with a lot of folks from NYC. They are very outspoken and do not mince words. Also, for me, Trump’s non-PC language signals that he is not a phony. He speaks from the gut. Media will go after him no matter what he does. If you look beneath the surface, Trump is focused on seeking the best for his country. That, alas, is not what is happening with our PM in Canada. The Liberals are focused on tending to world problems, and making things more difficult for Canadians (e.g. Carbon Tax). Now you cannot always ignore world problems, but you should not be looking to solve these to the detriment of your own country.

  14. I love how eager Trump supporters are to prove to the world that yes, they are stupid and vacuous as you think they are. They are proud of being dumb.
“At least Trump sees the actual problems and is willing to act to deal with them.”
    Obamacare: not repealed
    Ethanol subsidies: supported by Trump
    Surveillance state: supported by Trump
Further, Trump attacks non-problems like immigration and trade deficits and in the process creates very real problems. Have fun with more expensive imports, dummy.

  15. ‘Have fun with more expensive imports, dummy’
    And talking about expensive imports:
Dental practices are doing a roaring business in Manitoba. New immigrant families are getting their teeth fixed courtesy of the Federal government.
Some of the work being done is of a more expensive nature than I can afford to provide for my own family a dental hygienist told us. Sorry no link.

“In other unrelated news: Wind energy is taking over the world, highly competitve and in Germany — collapsing.
The German wind market is “threatening to implode”:
In the past year alone, more than 2,000 employees in this sector have lost their jobs. Locations like Carbon Rotec in Lemwerder or Powerblades in Bremerhaven have been closed.
The Hamburg wind turbine manufacturer Senvion had to go 660 full-time employees.
Nordex , the second large wind power company based in the Hanseatic city, wants to cut up to 500 jobs due to eroding profits.
And Enercon, the German market leader with more than 20,000 employees worldwide, recently announced “unpopular measures” to cut costs.
Read the article. Try to explain the problem in 25 words or less. As far as I can tell, for some reason, the German government cannot design enough loopholes to allow this revolutionary, cheap, technology to make a decent profit.”

  20. Your link is solid evidence that the government will pay for some medical and dental costs for some groups of new immigrants, it does not demonstrate that Manitoba dentists are doing ‘roaring business’ because of them.

  21. It was a big story in 2016. The new Liberal government restored medical and dental benefits for refugees that had been pared back by the conservatives. They provide benefits up to the same level as those on social assistance would receive; in other words free.

  22. TRUMP is just getting started Dunme!
He’s starving out Obongocare, just wait. And yeah, there’s these things called the House and Congress which have to also agree to things called laws.
So, your talking points are the usual drive by, uneducated blather of mindless trolls. Thanks for demonstrating your mile wide, inch thick understanding of issues.
My investments are doing happy dances thanks to MAGA TRUMP tax cuts, and the overwhelming positive forward prospects of a government that knows the best social program, is a healthy economy, healthy businesses, creating jobs. Something unlike your gods Obongo or Trudy, who have no clue how the economy works, but spew empty platitudes

  23. “TRUMP is just getting started Dunme!”
And that’s all he’s gonna do once the GOP loses at least the House in upcoming elections. Further, Trump did nothing to push Congress to get rid of Obamacare. Didn’t lift a finger.
“My investments are doing happy dances thanks to MAGA TRUMP tax cuts”
Now would be a good time to rotate those assets. We are late in the cycle, and due for at least a correction if not outright recession. The USD is getting the beat down lately, and has been sinking for about a year.

  24. ‘it does not demonstrate that Manitoba dentists are doing ‘roaring business’ because of them’
Just restating what was told to me. One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that when a good or service is provided at low cost or free utilization of that good or service tends to increase.

  25. Okay fair enough. You are right about the issue it was a big deal kind of in 2016 I had forgotten about it.

“President Trump Earns the Highest Presidential Approval Level of All Time
The Small Business Optimism Index hit an all-time high. That’s the new Presidential Approval Poll.
In olden days (pre-2016), candidates for president were not so different from each other. I can remember pundits complaining endlessly about how similar the Democrats and Republicans had become. In that environment, you can easily imagine someone who voted for Candidate A warming up to Candidate B. In those simpler times, a presidential approval poll meant something.
Today, a “presidential approval poll” is little more than taking attendance. If you’re a Democrat, you disapprove of President Trump as a lifestyle choice. If you voted for Trump, you probably still approve of him because you knew exactly what you were getting. And if you are an anti-Trump conservative, you allow cognitive dissonance to rule your brain and you say he’s doing a good job but you disapprove of him anyway. David Brooks accidentally described this phenomenon in this article.”

  28. Is that where you’re going, Sask Watch, to the hospital for ignorance?
A guy who calls a spade a spade isn’t ignorant or racist. He’s brave.
Nor does Trump control the ‘alert button’ in Democrat-controlled Hawaii.
Let’s wait until we find out exactly how it happened in Hawaii before we assign blame. I know it’s not the Liberal/Progressive thing to do when Trump is in office, but it’s what rational people do. There are rumours of something which was taking place at the Hawaii emergency office in the three days prior, but let’s let the facts come out.

Higher taxes, skyrocketing debt, and restrictive regulations will keep our economy weak for at least half a decade.
Details from an internal memo to Finance Minister Bill Morneau have been revealed in a recent report.
It suggest that the Canadian economy – already not working for the vast majority of our people – is heading towards years of weakness:
“The note for Finance Minister Bill Morneau, obtained by CBC News under the Access to Information Act, forecasts average annual growth of just 1.7 per cent this year through to 2022.
That slower-growth number has big implications for federal tax revenues and annual deficits, and suggests Morneau has little wiggle room for spending in Budget 2018.””

I’m sorry that it takes someone like Trump to break the spell of silence the Left is forever weaving around us. I wish a man like Ronald Reagan would come along and accomplish the same thing with more wit and grace. But that was another culture. History deals the cards it deals; we just play them. Trump is what we’ve got.
For all the bad language, for all the loose talk, I would rather hear a man speak as a man without fear of the Nurse Ratcheds in the press and the academy than have him neutered and gagged by a system of good manners that has been misused as a form of oppression. Better impoliteness than silence. Better crudeness than lies.
We have seen the effect of uncontrolled immigration on Europe. It is very, very bad. The fact is: some countries are shitholes. I don’t want this to become one of them.”

  32. I think that diabolical Trump hacked into a conversation we were having down at Grinder Joes and now he’s been repeating some of that stuff he heard.
Remember when Mohammed Ali went to Africa to box, got off the plane, looked around for a few days and pronounced, “I’m just glad my grand-pappy got on that boat” which is a pretty humorous line if you think about it.

Isn’t it just the best thing that we’ve finally got a President of the USA who calls a shithole a shithole?
In fact of all Donald Trump’s many qualities, I think this may be his greatest and his most underrated strength.
But you’re not supposed to say this. At least not in respectable company. Even now – after all his incredible achievements – you’re still only allowed to praise Donald Trump if first you’ve preceded it with lots of disclaimers about how much you deplore his sexism, his brashness, his incoherence and general uncouthness…

Feminists Come for The Handmaid’s Tale Author
Margaret Atwood is a Canadian feminist author best known for The Handmaid’s Tale. It’s a book that pretty directly translates the Islamic Revolution in Iran to America (which had occurred not that many years earlier.) Had Atwood done that literally, her book would have been burned and she would have been fatwa’ed.
Instead The Handmaid’s Tale imagines a “Christian” takeover of America accompanied by the repression of women. That’s what made it popular with the left.
Recently, Hulu, a failing service trying to compete with Netflix and Amazon, went full #resistance by ordering A Handmaid’s Tale series. Warren Littlefield, the guy you might vaguely remember from Seinfeld, boasts that the mediocre show, which won awards because of its politics is, the #resistance.
Lefty activists, when they aren’t wearing pink hats, dress up in pseudo-medieval garb to protest Trump because, apparently, Trump is the embodiment of a Christian theocracy. The show feeds lefty paranoia of a right-wing takeover. Meanwhile the left actually is taking over and repressing everyone.”
