    Battlefords-Lloydminster: 12,889 of 47,651 (27%)
    South Surrey-White Rock: 26,110 of 79,359 (34%)
    Scarborough—Agincourt: 17,351 of 68,775 (26%)
    Bonavista—Burin—Trinity: 12,593 of 58,771 (21%)
    The CPC could have easily won South Surrey white Rock and Scarborough-Agincourt by getting off their behinds and voting.

  8. Only the bc riding is a slight disappointment. Toronto was a lot closer than expected. And true to form the turnout for all was horrible.
    I put nil weight on bye-elections at all times.
    Sheer is a very capable politician. He needs to continue assembling his team. And he won’t grow support to 38% by being a hard-line Conservative.
    Two large factors out of his control are the NDP – it needs to pull up to the high teens in support.
    And the GTA real estate market. If it weakens (and there are signs) the LPC is toast. If it doesn’t it’s going to be a very close run thing.

    I say the same, however the poor voter turnout is proof positive that we (CPC) didn’t learn a lot by losing the last Federal Election. Winning 3 out of 4 seats would have demoralized the enemy somewhat. The only good that came out of this by-election is that we now know the NDP won’t be the opposition for a while yet.

    The bigger story in BC today is the ENDP doing an about face and continuing the Site C dam project. Horgan campaigned strongly on wanting to kill it. It’s great watching lefties fight each other.
    And Weaver the Deceiver is really really really really upset about it. But he won’t vote against his Marxist brothers.

  20. Conservatives in White Rock had an opportunity to send the country a message about what Turdeau is doing and did not. If anything it was an endorsement. Sadly the left is making serious inroads in the West. The assumption that the West had some form of immunity to political bribery is false.
    If conservatives think people will wake up one morning and vote these fools out then dream on. The CPC has no grassroots and remains has Harper left it. Top down. Reform was grassroots and they killed it off. We had lots of fiscally conservative Dippers in Reform.

  27. Say what you like about the NDP vote collapsing or the poor voter turnout but the results of the by-elections were, for the most part, disappointing. Trudeau has proven to be nothing more than an inept dufus who has turned the office of Prime Minister into that of a circus clown yet the Liberals manage to win in 3 of the 4 contests. The stupidity of the majority of Canadian voters is staggering. Do they all stay on top of current events by watching the CBC? At least the Saskatchewan voters proved that all Canadians are not ignorant and uninformed as rookie Rosemarie Falk crushed both the NDP and Liberals.

  41. Traditional NDPers will support him. He is actually very charismatic. Many NDPers “lent” their vote to Liberals last time. They will not do so again, now that they have been betrayed on election reform. I think Libs will also lose youth support as they screw up the marijuana distribution (as it looks like they are doing). The question is how many Liberals voted for the NDP (or stayed home) when the Libs were in third place? The voting on the left shifts back and forth (somewhat) between Libs and NDP. I am not sure Singh will capture any traditional Liberals, as Jack Layton might have. Still, between Sheerer and Singh, future debates should expose Justin for the sham that he is. Both of the other party leaders will out perform him.
