As I watched Tesla’s messy, hiccuping line, with workers dashing in to fix faulty parts in place, my mind travelled back to the Honda plant I had visited years ago in Marysville, Ohio. Clean, calm, everything moved smoothly. I was so shocked by the contrast that I imprudently voiced my concern. That didn’t go over well with my fellow Tesla owners. I was a killjoy, I was calling their choice into question.
This one’s a must read.

NO Elon MUSK CARS FOR Marty and I! We are waiting for the Professor and the FLUX Compastor! With all the garbage TRUDEAU is handing out we’ll be fixed for life!
Malcolm Bricklin, Dan DeLorean, Preston Tucker. Should I go on??
It always boils down to one simple problem. They don’t work!!
And every one of their promoters made outrageous claims..

Imagine the batteries in the Tesla time machine when Marty drives through the lightning bolt!
Kaboom!
The Affordable Car Act …

Where have I heard this one before? Is it time to bring Nancy Pelosi out of retirement to shill for the Model 3? What’s that you say? Nancy hasn’t retired already? Perfect. Elon?
I don’t take anyone seriously anymore who even talks about electric cars like they were ever serious. People been building electric cars since 1832; hasn’t happened yet, ain’t likely to happen. Ever. 200 years of continuous development… and the Tesla S is basically all you got… Musk ain’t in the manufacturing business. He ain’t in the green promotion business. He is in the subsidy collection business.
From any rational point of view, the Tesla won’t make it. But for people desperate to believe in something and wanting to virtue signal, Tesla is the real deal. They’ll likely even be drawn to these “hand-crafted” cars. Overall success will depend on whether or not the high school teachers tell their students that the Tesla is more cool than the Bolt or Leaf.
Model-T(hree)
This is the same Musk, who about one year ago, made some outrageously arrogant and stupendously ignorant claims on how the current car industry were incompetent and he was going to REVOLUTIONIZE production.
An asshole billionaire who isn’t happy enough with gambling his own money, he steals from Joe taxpayer and loses that too.
The bigger the flames Tesla goes down in, the happier I’ll be.
Short article comparing Tesla with GM and Ford. I like the last sentence best.
“Tesla sold 40,697 vehicles in the U.S. last year … Ford sells that many F-Series trucks in the U.S. about every three weeks”.

I think it’s more than coincidence that once government subsidies are removed, EV sales plummet. It was so in Denmark and in Hong Kong, they virtually went to zero. Within an urban environment, EVs, with their limited range, can make (some) sense; beyond that, forget it. And don’t ask me to pay for “free” public charging stations.
the only good electric vehicle is a golf cart.
It is one thing for Green utopians in Cal to promote and champion electric cars and claim there market share is about to explode any month now. It is another for politicians in Ont to plan for significant sales of vehicles, if only Ont can divert enough revenue for charging stations, subsidies and so on. Do people like Wynne ever look out their windows in Dec-Apr? Maybe not, GTA leaders have a history of being overwhelmed when a blizzard hits the region. Why would Ont subsidize a vehicle that can only safely be operated 7 months? The type of person who would be lured into buying electric so they can preen about environmental awareness, is capable of abandoning it in the passing lane in a blizzard when it runs out of juice. Shouldn’t the government come and tow them home, everything else about the car is subsidized.
And where would the massive increase in electrical use come from? Wind plants on crop producing farm land? Read David Booth’s Motor Mouth on the movement particularly the exponential cost of building enough charging capacity to service a fleet of cars as envisioned, once again the government would subsidize it all.
This is why the Founding Fathers of the United States wrote and put in place the First Amendment, that is,
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion …”
Government is using its citizens’ money to push its religion, that is, the “green agenda, environmentalism” religion. It is becoming ITSELF an establishment of religion.
They demand indulgences (taxes), give themselves a massive piece of the action, and then “donate” whatever is remaining to their missionaries (Elon Musk et al).
I am sure that the taxpayers will benefit much as we have from the billions we have been “investing ” in Bombarier here in Canada . This time will be different. And everyone here knows the definition of insanity !
coming soon the Bombardier Electric(flying?) car.
This idiocy just writes its self.
The inherent stupidity of our self appointed elites is beyond parody, I suspect the classic authors would be speechless, suffering information , opportunity overload, in todays environment.
2017 When ignorance is a proudly stated virtue.
The fact airbus acquired Bombardier is in itself scandalous, but the fact airbus did not pay one cent to acquire Bombardier should have caused something close to revolt in the streets.
not to mention the top people at Bombardier gave them selves raises and bonuses ( from the billions of $ ) for running a company a hair from bankrupcy.
our government took billions of dollars of our hard earned tax dollars and gave it to an European company.
robbing a bank would be more honest.
I can not believe how docile we Canadians are.
no matter how abused we are we do nothing, we barely talk about it then move on to the next thing.
Mutt: Hey Jeff. These smart pills you sold me taste like sh*t.
Jeff: See, you are smarter already.
