For two days now, the American political media has been baying about the nature of President Trump’s call to the wife of Sgt. La David Johnson who fell in Niger.
Was it disrespectful? Does Trump like the military? Does the President care about the troops?
The fifth column democrats kept at it on that cesspool known as Twitter.
“Is Trump trying to get Kelly to vouch for him?”, “He’s trying to get Kelly to lie for him.”
They hate, hate! that Trump is president, that they lost. They hate him so much they and the more egregiously ugly, attention seeking House whores would politicize a phone-call of a President to the family of a fallen soldier.
They let their hate for republicans, hate for America, hate for Trump get in the way of their common sense.
Today, finally, General Kelly smacked some sense back into the hateful children.

  3. Kelly’s account is very credible and quite moving. The comments on this at the site, however, are bizarre . . . dismissing Kelly’s account. Boy the left is hateful. Frankly, it makes no sense that Trump would phone this woman in order to show “disrespect” — pretty stupid claim. I think just the reverse . . . that he intended to show great respect. What is wrong with these people? I think hate is destroying their brains. And, as usual, the media is lapping it up. Even the National Post felt obliged to cover Wilson’s criticism of Trump. I wonder if they will mention Kelly’s rebuttle.

    It’s very clear that this politician whore has no followers in the military. They hate her, they hate her kind, and they hate that she has done this to people who just need to heal.

    This is someone who despises people in the military – she thinks they’re low-rent stupid bloodthirsty rubes who deserve what they sometimes get – and who is more than willing to hurt them for her own political gain.

But … the question I have … is WHY was this Congresswoman riding in a car when Trump placed the phone call. You know that Trump didn’t cold-call this grieving woman. No, she was contacted and a time was arranged for Trumps call. The Congresswoman was notified ahead of time and premeditated the whole SHAMEFUL exploitative attack on MY President. This Congresswoman should be CENSURED by her colleagues. What a total c()nt!!!

Remember, a female CNN news host on a late morning show said right after the election, “We need to do whatever we can can to get rid of Trump”. The scum in the media and among the Democrat and Republican politicos are doing their best to get rid of him by any means possible.

    Besides “must have known what he signed up for.” means nothing without context. One Sentence out of an entire conversation. What was said before and after that. What did the Widow say to Trump prior to this that would elicit that response.
    The only opinion that matters, on whether what Trump said was offensive or not, is that of the Widow.

    Indeed, the politicization of phone calls by a President to the families of fallen soldiers is indeed shameful, and Congresswoman Wilson’s actions this week are detestable, but let’s not forget that this latest debacle was started by Trump himself.
    Recall that this self-inflicted wound wasn’t initially about phone calls when it first blew up on Monday afternoon — the media was inquiring about why the President hadn’t yet made a public statement about the four servicemen killed in Niger almost two weeks after it happened.
    It was Trump who first made it about phone calls, and it was Trump who first politicized it by defensively taking (incorrect) pot-shots at former presidents. That’s what really set this story off this week — Trump (once again) being Trump.

    Who put is in Syria, which has become a huge nightmare for the people there, but Trump was smart enough to let the Generals do their job unlike O-dumber and now ISIS is getting pushed out of there and Iraq. Remember ISIS was just a JV team.
    You may not like that Trump got a medical release, when Bill Clinton was called up, but he just refused and called our troops worthless.
    Did you serve? I did and wasn’t even drafted. I joined as a Combat Medic and yes I knew this was high risk job. Same as the young man who died.

With the support of the press who spend their days constructing their narrative ( incl Here in Canada ) they frame every action and word in a negative manner . General KELLY eloquently explained to them the error of their narrative. I am not sure if they are to stupid or to biased to comprehend it . Or both .

  35. Of course Trump had the best intentions for a respectful conversation with the widow. According to Kelly, he advised Trump not to call but then ended up telling him what to say, mentioning that anyone who signs up for the military goes in with their eyes wide open and if they end up paying the ultimate price, they died doing what they wanted to do. But as is quite often the case, Trump was done in by his poor articulation and lack of eloquence, so he ended up saying what he thought Kelly advised him to say, but it came out as disrespectful, especially when there’s a Democrat congress woman listening in, and using her hatred of Trump to turn the situation into a political shitstorm. The media never gives Trump the benefit of the doubt for his very average command of the English language. They preferred Obama’s very eloquent, non-stop lying.

  37. Yeah, he didn’t serve in Vietnam. So what?
    My husband and my cousins went off to war due to orders from a CinC who draft dodged and went to England. My kids went off to war under orders from CinCs who either never served in combat zones or never served at all. At least this one doesn’t seem as spiteful as some others. And it’s part of the job to do your duty anyway…my family has served under worse imhao.
    PS. My dad was in the 4th Marine Raiders (got a whole chestful and sleeveful of scare badges), my uncles were in the 1st and the 6th Marines respectively (Dad got shuffled into 6th later on) one of them served a stint at the Tomb of the Unknown; my various assorted cousins have been in every branch; got a naval aviator/test pilot on my mom’s side; a Dive Master Chief; my husband was a Ranger; one kid was up for a Bronze Star when with 1st Cav.; another attached to SF for a while (they are girls, so maybe not gung-ho enough for you); son in laws were/are Cav Scouts and Sappers; son is also now in training…Sapper bound; I myself was supposed to be Corps but at the time they wouldn’t take someone with metal in their body (old riding injury — had to be joined back together)
    and none of us still living have a problem with the President; all were pretty moved by General Kelly’s statement (because there was a lot of truth in it)
    so…you’re point being that only wusses, or what’s the word now — cucks? — would be ok with this President?

    I thought it was a compliment to describe First Responders or military personnel as running toward trouble and not away from it, an indication of courage and character. I don’t know what DJT actually said, but how is it any different saying that military personnel “know what they are getting into” but go anyway.
    I listened to the video posted on Althouse of DJT calling the widow Natasha DeAlencar. Kudos to her for posting it. I had no issues with Trumps handling of an awkward and painful conversation.     The only crisis is they aren’t in power. In the US their compromised influence peddling and endangered immunity from the law explains the manning of the political barricades by Comey, the Clintons, Clapper, Mueller, Rice, Powers, Holden and Lynch to name a few.
    The swamp is actually a slimy ocean that requires net repairs and a dredging purge of the bottom feeders rather than just a draining.
