“I like the colour scheme,” wrote Natalie Rieger, senior marketing advisor for the finance department. “It’s fresh. I love where this is going.”
Staff paid the McCann ad agency $212,234 including the cost of photos depicted on the cover of the March 22 budget document Building A Strong Middle Class and related marketing materials. Images were supposed to illustrate budget themes. “The future of children is an issue that is central to the 2017 budget,” wrote McCann executives. “That is why they are the focus of every visual.”
That’s Adscam level fresh.

The budget will balance itself out of WHOSE BACKSIDE?
Well of course the ad agency’s budget is balanced, on the plus side of the ledger via the taxpayer!
It’s all how one ‘interprets’ the statement.

The cover is a checklist of leftist propaganda and imagery. Might as well have Mao’s smiling face, or a defiant-looking Che on the cover.
Solar Panels – check!
Windmills – check!
Artist (guitar) – check!
Wired sphygmomanometer – check! (the gov-errrrn-ment will care for U)
Slouchy beanie millennial in a vaguely Afghan tribal vest – check!
Laptop to surf – check!
Black power Afro – check!
Infrastructure $$$ – check!
and a half-lit lightbulb … oops! the Ad agency slipped the TRUTH into their diorama of Canadian taxpayer “bounty”.
Well, the kids are paying for it. Probs a few times…
#libranos
And I’m willing to bet my next pay check that the McCann ad agency donated lots of $$$ back to the Liberal party. The lesson to be learned here is that nothing changed after the first Adscam other than the Liberals being temporarily out of power. No charges, no jail time, therefore business as usual. Unbelievable. This is the one thing I can point to and say I’m disappointed in how Stephen Harper managed this.
In Washington yesterday Harper mentioned how after the US bailed out the auto industry in ’08 Canada was coerced into following suit to ‘save jobs’- to the tune of 50b. As soon as the caveats expired it was off to Mexico. He sounded pissed and he should be.
This 250k is chump change probably given to a librano insider
“senior marketing advisor for the finance department”
That’s your problem right there. Why does the finance department need a Senior Marketing Advisor, which implies that there are also other less senior marketing advisors on the staff collecting paycheques and banking sick days. We haven’t had a fire on parliament hill for 100 years. It’s time.
Libranos doing their gangster two step, our money is always Librano money. How perverse is the false narrative of Libranos selflessly saving the “middo clath”… yeah, saving the “middo clath” by getting rid of your job or taxing you into oblivion… of course the bullshit narrative is accepted and regurgitated by the Librano corporate Media goons without even a modicum of skepticism. Adscam lives on… and here I was thinking Librano money laundering schemes were now the exclusive jurisdiction of the Trudope Foundation.
Unbelievable. And the Liberals had the nerve to complain about a few big (physically big,but probably cheap)cheques. There are no bigger hypocrites than Liberals.
Why does the finance department even need a marketing department? Who are they “marketing” to?
Yahbutt..
The Librulz are doing such a Great Job running things and looking after THEIR money (just askem, they’ll tellya) that they deserve a big fat raze. After all, taxpyer money IS their money.
Damn, if only one Liberal politician had gone to jail. And I mean a LIBERAL POLITICIAN. Not Chuck Guité.
“We would like to know about ethnicities you would like us to cover,” wrote a McCann executive. “Asian? Native? Indian? Latino? There are four models, so we will have to choose.”
Apparently it is the non-white voter market they are targeting.
We’re in the very best of hands.
I’m retired now, but as a lifetime member of the Professional Photographers of Canada and a ‘Master of Photographic Arts’, I can tell you I might have charged a client $10K maximum for such a job. This hardly required one of the world’s largest and most expensive advertising agencies.
Hillary did the same thing and look where that got her! Here’s hoping.
Anyone remember the Gazebo? And how the shitlibs screeched about it for YEARS? Seems like a good deal compared.
Oh come on now, there was 13% HST, after that say 20% income (corporate or private) tax then 13% on all the money left that is spent on further HST. Let me think … hmmm … $138,505.
And that`s ignoring all the other fees and taxes.
In truth, this ad only cost the government 50% of that billed as they got half of it back in taxes.
This is why the government should never be in business or directly hire workers. Or tax for that matter.
When a government has 100% taxation, it doesn`t matter how much they spend as they get it all back.
The worst part is this doesn’t even surprise me in the slightest… Maybe if there’s enough backlash against this we can convince the government to fund a million dollar investigation about it. /s
And the airhead is still ahead.
What the hell
Make it a Royal Commission instead. Those taxpayer-funded circuses tend to take on a life of their own, sometimes, it seems, lasting for years. In the end, the members publish their “findings”, which are often what everyone and their dog already figured out well before those carnivals even started.
When they’re over, those same members don’t appear to be worse for wear and they increase their standing in the political pecking order. The final document is shelved in some library or office, to spend the rest of its days gathering dust and spider webs. Nothing gets done with it and it’s back to business as usual.
I believe this was the original cover:

He’s going to bat for bombardier. Can’t buy Boeing fighters, but well maybe used Aussie f18’s.
Put on one masculine sock, over your banana, to prove your femininity, or something…aahhgg.
Besides kick-backs,patronage,inept fiscal management and arrogance, its all about appearance for Liberals.
That lady on the left of the cover is sitting on a bucket!!
They couldn’t even innovate her a chair.
This is so chintzy.
yes, what the hellllllll
And Andrew Scheer as usual is as quiet as a church mouse.
Well, I’m crawling up on my 50’s. I figure if my timing is just right, I should be able to rattle off a few “I told you so’s” before I croak to some suckholes whining about the loss of their “free lunch” when the government runs out of employee benefits and such to tax.
Enjoy the decline. Bwahhhahahhahaha.
F*** it. I am going Galt.
Here’s another gem from that site:
‘The Department of Finance paid researchers $55,756 for real-time emotional responses to Minister Bill Morneau’s March 22 budget speech, according to newly-released records’
Liberal times are good times for Liberals.
