  1. Somewhat of an overview of the recent Las Vegas murders, with a list of what’s known at the bottom of the page:
    “During a press conference tonight, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said that the Las Vegas mass murderer, Stephen Paddock, may have been “radicalized” and that authorities were attempting to uncover the source of his radicalization.
    “Did this person get radicalized unbeknownst to us? And we want to identify that source,” said Lombardo.
    If confirmed, this suggests that there may have been a political motive behind the massacre.”

    “Commuters travelling in South-West London experienced delays Monday morning after passengers on a train forced open the doors and ran onto the tracks to escape a man with a bible.
    The incident took place near Wimbledon station, as a passenger on a packed commuter train started reading lines from the bible. Another passenger asked the man to stop because he was “scaring” others, but it was already too late and panic had set in.”

    Homicides -49%
    “You’re gonna make people more at risk, more vulnerable, the danger will increase, and in fact let me repeat this. These are stats from the American Enterprise Institute. From 1994, the percentage change in number of firearms versus gun homicides. The number of firearms since 1994 has increased 56%. That’s pretty substantial. Whatever the number is, it’s substantial. A lot of guns have been purchased since 1994. Fifty-six percent increase over what it was in 1994.
    But what about the gun murder rate? Well, guess what? The percentage of murders, the gun homicide rate is down 49% in the same time frame. Now, the left says more guns equals more crime, more guns equal more mayhem, more guns equals more dead people, more guns equals more murder. No, it doesn’t. Fifty-six percent increase gun ownership, 1994, 49% decline in gun homicide rates at the same time. You could say that having more guns has reduced the number of gun homicides.”

    He ”may” have been radicalised?? Great police work.
    Nice way for the Yanks to wash their hands from the whole thing. None of this has anything to do with the fact that he had automatic assault weapons that are designed for the military, and not for mental patients to play with. Gee, I wonder if the Second Amendment would have allowed him to have an Abrams Tank?? We wouldn’t want to mess with his rights now would we??
    What did you expect the cops to say??

If facts are going to be your thing, then his semi automatic gun was modified to fire rapidly, perhaps at a rate of 60-90 / minute, not an automatic rifle, nor close to a true automatic rifle being capable of firing commonly at +500/minute and possibly with a belt feed, and there was one of them, not plural, and he wasn’t a mental patient playing, there’s no history of any diagnose that’s been made public, nor would I say he was “playing” …. though there were some automatic rifles that pre-date the 2nd Amendment, and the Abrams Tank isn’t a “small arms” as indicated by the history of the 2nd Amendment as described in the Federalist Papers.
    As for “may have been radicalised” … I don’t know who is handling the major parts of this investigation. If it’s been turned over to the FBI then the sheriff’s department is at the mercy of what they decide to release as information…
    But, good work with using quotation marks around the parts you wanted to highlight. They’re typically at the beginning and the end of the parts you want attention brought to.

  6. Re: Right to Bear Arms, Second Amendment.
    I’m not criticizing your post. I’m just writing that the Sheriff (Lombardo) is out to lunch.
    The cause of the massacre is a nut case with an automatic weapon. Period.
    Keeping in mind of course that when the Second Amendment was written, it took all of about a minute to load a musket. If the powder was damp, and if the flint was not set properly, it didn’t fire, and that was about a third of the time.
    Thus, 60-90 shots per minute is a rather rapid rate of fire. And if you listen to this video, you’ll find that the rate of fire in Vegas is much faster than 1 to 1.5 shots per second as you claim. Slow the video down to half speed and count the shots. My calculation is over 500 rounds per min. Best heard at 1:30-1:35.

Period.” By your logic does that mean that there would be no motive for the “nut case” without an automatic weapon as if the automatic weapon was a catalyst in a deterministic chemical reaction. Anyone as determined and methodical as this “nut case” could likely accomplish as much or more carnage with IEDs, home made Napalm, fuel-air incendaries or exposives, airplanes, heavy equipment, propane bottles, biologicals, just to name few.

  8. Your logic suggests that the automatic weapons are not an issue here, and that one way or another Psycho would have found another means to do it.
    The fact is that the Psycho went up in the Mandalay Hotel, knocked the windows of his room out, grabbed one or more of the many automatic weapons he had and began firing upon a crowd of innocent people who were enjoying a concert.
    I didn’t read, hear of or see any bombs, airplanes, heavy equipment or other weapons you suggest he ”coulda’ utilized.
    And I know there are are millions of Americans out there that just wish this story could be explained, so it could just disappear and go away, simply to make room for the next psycho to grab a gun and kill yet more innocent people. In the end, it’s their right to own a weapon. We don’t want to hurt Psycho’s feelings, now do we?? God Bless the USA!!

  9. There are a lot of people in the US who are cheering this guy on because they figure he killed Trump supporters. I wouldn’t want to live in a country with people like that without being armed. We know how that works out from historical precident.

  10. Generally, I listen and believe what B list celebrities say but today I’ve decided that Sack Watch has the inside track. Two days into this mess with rumors and theories everywhere and he’s already sorted it out. Good work Sack…
    There is nothing about this massacure which makes any sense at this point. Maybe there were voices in his head or maybe not. Of COURSE he is crazy…… but then that label applies to a lot of people who believe they are rightous and justified as they slaughter innocents.
    And while we’re on the subject of crazy, have you taken your meds today?

  11. Republicans love gun but Democrats really like them as well.
    A guy who shoots into a crowd for no apparent reason is probably mentally ill.
    Same as the guy who drives a vehicle into the crowd.
