Underpaid? They were supposed to give him money for what he did? I’d have thought he was supposed to pay them to distribute it for him.
The cartoon characters at Disney have been underpaid for years.
Are there fact checkers at Fox? We can call Nye a LOT of different things, but SCIENTIST is not one of them.

Well naturally, the gulf between what Bill Nye thinks is his worth and what Disney thinks of his product..
Very similar to that between Bill’s actual understanding of science and his imagined wisdom.
Like the Tooner says,I thought De Nyer Guy was paying Disney to provide a platform for his self praising propaganda.
That’s not unusual. Didn’t the cartoonists go on strike in the early 1940s because Walt wasn’t paying them properly?
Then again, now that Disney seems to be in the business of peddling social justice in the guise of “family” entertainment, should we even care?
All of the above. Charlatan is a much better word for what Nye is and pluralize that for what Disney has become.

I was actually going to note that Bill (William) Nye is a person, but “Bill Nye the Science Guy” is a character and a trademark, and Fox referring to Bill Nye that way is like referring to William Shatner as Captain Kirk.

Nye is a fraud. Gore is a fraud. Suzuki is a fraud. Mann is a fraud. Long list.
Worst part is that my younger son had to watch Nye videos in school. I had a good chat with him about it. He now knows Nye is a fraud.

And I think it should be overpaid not underpaid.
In my humble opinion … Captain Planet, Dora the Explorer, and Spongebob Squarepants … have been far more effective brainwashers of our children in the culture WARS. Bill Nye is too old and irrelevant for the kiddies to care. I assume that is Disney’s primary argument. Sorry, Nye … nobody watched you, nobody cares.
