From the article:
” … Maybe it’ll turn out all right — he’s the president, I’m not.” John McCain (R. TV)
Yes John, you’re not a president, and not for the lack of trying, so how about, for once, you enjoy a nice big cup of STFU?
Yes McCain indeed seems like the coward now, not the “War Hero”, captured that is, that he has based his career on. Cancer notwithstanding, he does need to shut his pie hole.
China should probably be careful that Kim Basketball-jones doesn’t send his nukes their way.
China is the Dr. Frankenstein in this story. North Korea is the Monster.
The undivided Korea was the hub of evangelism being sent out to the rest of the far East until China had had enough “subversion” and rose up to crush the perpetrators of freedom.
China armed and supported the Koreans who wanted their own communist state and help slaughter and push the Christians to the south.
Their creation has now grown and matured, exemplifying what a Godless society can become. When humans push God out, they become gods themselves, giving and taking life at their discretion and whim. Kim will only understand the language of
a God greater than himself.
The rest of the voices he hears are but those of commentators and lesser humans. He has become prideful and that is the most dangerous a man be.
NK has been a valuable foil for China’s benefit for decades. It would take a lot for China to give that up. The beauty of Trump is his verbal aggressiveness and opponents not being sure how far he would go. It certainly focuses the issues and makes all concerned more clearer on their true boundaries.
China is in a no lose position IMHO. The USA takes out Korea and the world brands the USA as a heavy weight bully. China plays that to solidify her growing strength in SE ASIA.
If on the other hand Trump can force a regime change in NK with minimal human loss he will be a huge winner. A big deal for a POTUS who is struggling for successes.
As the world churns isn’t this fun. This is like the stock market where volitility is at all time lows and investors simply ignore all the red flags.
“The stupefying failure of the three preceding U.S. administrations to deal with North Korea has been dumped into Trump’s lap. I don’t recall the Canadian media going into a dance of gleeful mockery when President Bill Clinton gave North Korea over four billion dollars to stop their nuclear military program and they didn’t do it, or complaining about President Barack Obama’s empty shilly-shallying on this issue over the last eight years.”
“This past Thursday, this newspaper ran on the front page an opinion piece by Andrew Coyne (who drank himself into insensibility on the Never Trump Kool Aid before that intoxicant was being dispensed to the public in ten-gallon barrels), in which Andrew triumphantly asserted that the defiant response of the North Korean regime ended the 2017 nuclear crisis with a called bluff and the total humiliation of the United States. Trump was not bluffing and this crisis has not reached its final act. The question of why large numbers of intelligent people have been reduced to babbling idiots by Trump’s presence in the White House will be a matter of great historical curiosity, though I find it a rather hackneyed subject now.”
“The Canadian media are probably too obtuse to learn anything from such a sequence of events, but at least it would have a salutary influence on Iran. We can all be grateful that Obama and Kerry don’t have to address this one; there would be a blur of transgressed red lines.
Many must wonder when the Canadian international reporting and comment brigade is going to attain at least the airs of professionalism, and not just the collective silliness of giggly schoolyard gossips.” http://nationalpost.com/opinion/conrad-black-canada-is-failing-to-see-the-north-korea-crisis-clearly/wcm/9cb704e9-d9ed-4905-965a-b53428c2
So it is “Words Matter”?
We dare not tell the savages what we really think lest they smote us?
Smell any Dane Geld ?
The funniest part of this non event, “ME Have big Bomb, pay me or I Blow Up”..
Is watching the Libtards heads explode, again.
So Trumps statements of the obvious, are provocative…..we should stay quiet and pay the Fat little terrorist what he demands..
That worked so good for Bush,Clinton and The Zero, Where the USA paid the bribes to “prevent” North Korea from building the Nuclear arms they now threaten the world with..
Just maybe Trump knows the USA equivalent of the North Korean Supreme Leaders..extortion style lawsuits..real estate is flush with them.
Just curious..does anyone care if North Korea Glows in the dark for a few decades?
Funny how Horoshima, Nagasaki,Chernybo(however they are spelt) have told a very different tale than the fear mongers demand.
Where are my nuclear mutant babies?
CT and Glacierman have it right.
North Korea is a Chinese tool. President Donald Trump is using the same bellicose language that Fatty Whitewalls uses to “pace” him and send a message that it all stops now. More importantly, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is negotiating behind the scenes supported by the secretaries of Treasury, Defense, and Commerce.
Expect to see the bombast recede over the next few weeks. Expect sanctions to be placed not only on North Korea, but on Chinese Companies. That will get China’s attention. They will be given a choice; China fixes North Korea, or China faces a partial trade war. Things could get very interesting.
Bottom line is that China doesn’t want the eventual refugees that any conflict would produce. They can’t handle their own.

We both think alike!
Targeting is totally dependent on sophisticated AI.. The Norks are probably using a Mickey Mouse MS platform that is not critically protected…The guy in Guam was correct when he said the safest place to be was ground ZERO, the Norks target…
If the 4 missiles (Aug threat) all land in China..(Trump could help that) KIM will be buried in the Kim-chi pit before the Sun sets
I agree. Hopefully Trump carries through and is not just drawing a fake red line like Obama did.
Our Shiny Prime Minister refuses to call the monster of North Korea “crazy” but crazy he is and Trump is not letting him think he can take the World hostage with his threats.
I wouldn’t take any advice from Angela Merkel of Germany or, for that matter Justin Trudeau either!

The comments reflect the generally left leaning proclivities of the Canadian rank and file. Or, just a general scorn for DJT? Can they really be comfortable burying their heads in the sand as an anti-nuke strategy?
