Fact is, Kapernick has been mediocre the last two seasons. He’s a one-trick pony, and most of the defences are wise to his play-fake trickery now. I don’t know about other people but I watched less because a game which should take at most 1.75 hours to play was streched to 4 hours by endless commercials, talking heads pontifcating, penalty stoppage, time outs to freeze the kicker or whatever, play reviews, and other non game delays.
Kapernick’s antics just made me realize how much my time was being abused.

There is no earthly reason to play a national anthem before a football game or any other sporting event in the first place.
I grew up eating and breathing NFL football. Played it, watched, it, studied it. But it doesn’t even interest me anymore for the reasons you say. The pace of a game today is insufferable. Same with the NBA. I have fully transitioned to international soccer (primarily the EPL). It is 90min of all action and 0 advertisements. And if the macho American football fans believe it is a game played by pussies … I’d wager most EPL players could snap their legs with the slightest of ease. Timeouts are for pussies. And TV-timeouts are for big, fat, wheezing, roided pussies. Goodbye NFL … Goodbye Goodell … you should have disciplined all your disrespectful African-American players when you had the chance. Now … nobody gives a sh!t.

Its no mystery at all. The vast majority of NFL players are young, poor, black kids from “the ghetto”. They grew up in a culture that hates whitey. However in the greatest irony of this story, Kaepernick was raised by white foster parents in a lilywhite suburb. Kaepernick played for a virtually Lilly white college at Nevada, Reno. So this semi-black man shows up in the NFL and meets (for the first time) legitimate brotha’s from the mean streets. Kaepernick starts suffering from “white guilt” and acts out to demonstrate his solidarity with “his people”. Sadly, Kaepernick wants to reinvent his victimhood. He grew up victimless … filled with white privilege … so now he needs to “prove” he’s a “genuine black man”. Gawwd would a psychologist have a field day with the inside of his head.
But back to my main point … the NFL did NOTHING about the disrespect of America by a fringe of black players BECAUSE of FEAR. Fear of upsetting the majority of their players. Fear of a mass strike and show of solidarity by the black majority of players. Goodell was AFRAID to enforce respect for America by his players. He will fine players $ 10,000.00 for wearing unauthorized logos on their warm-up gear … but would do nothing to protect the respect of our flag and country.
