Feds arrest IT staffer for Wasserman Schultz trying to leave country

Awan, 37, of Virginia, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to one count of bank fraud during his arraignment in federal court in Washington, D.C. He was released but will have to wear a GPS monitor and abide by a curfew.
Awan also was ordered to turn over all his passports. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 21.
Law enforcements authorities for months have been looking into how Awan may have double-billed the House for equipment like computers, iPads, monitors, keyboards and routers. Several relatives of Awan worked for House Democrats and were fired months ago. Awan, however, was kept on staff by Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., even though he was no longer allowed access to the House server network.

  1. Elitist arrogance is easy to mis-interpret as plain dumb-ass. Orange will look good on DWS if anyone can show her aiding and abetting and since her minion was trying to scurry away to hide under a far away rock I think that’s the fear.

  2. The DNC and Wasserman-Schultz engineered and facilitated the transfer of US security and defense secrets to Iran. For EIGHT YEARS, our country has been under attack from within. I shudder to think of the approaching consequences of this traitorous betrayal and sedition. And the deep State operatives are still planted across our government agencies. I fear that the last 8-years have doomed our country to die a sudden nuclear death.

  3. Rob:
Please be specific about the “suicide” type:
Would that be normal, every-day type suicide or CLINTON-type suicide?
    BCer

  4. The Democrats have been having such bad luck with their lackeys lately, and those who get in the way, many of them dying suddenly?
Will the latest juicy arrest, no doubt with tons of dirt on the Dems and looking for a way out. Maybe he’ll “suicide” too. Speculating, not accusing.
“GOP operative who sought Clinton’s emails committed suicide.”
In Smith’s hotel room, he left a “statement police called a suicide note in which he said he was in ill health and a life insurance policy was expiring,” the Tribune reported.”
His death, which a police chief called “unusual,” had been recorded as “asphyxiation due to displacement of oxygen in a confined space with helium.” Smith was found with a bag over his head and a helium source attached.”
According to the Tribune, Smith wrote two blog posts before his death: one challenging the U.S. intelligence community’s findings that Russia interfered in the 2016 election and another “predicting” that “the Russian interference story will die of its own weight.”

  5. I’m getting in extra popcorn to follow this case. Why was Wasawoman so generous and protective of these guys?

  6. Can you say Pakistan Military ISI? I wonder if they are like the Soviet KGB, and grant military ranks to important spies?
Can you imagine the espionage coup that Pakistan had by reading the email traffic of the Leadership of the DNC, along with US House, and US Senate minority leadership? I wonder how far they got from their privileged inside position? Did they get into other Democrat accounts, or the GOP Congressional accounts too?

  7. Pakistan is in many respects, a client state of China.
China supplies military assistance to the Pakistan government who uses it to threaten and harass their long term rival India.
China and via their wholly owned client state, North Korea is used to “assist” Muslim nations to acquire nuclear and missile technology.
The instability helps to distract the Americans from China’s near to intermediate plans to become the hegemonic power of the entire Pacific rim.
Any intelligence Pakistan’s I.S.I. obtains having use to the Middle-Kingdom would be a marketable commodity. Also, the O.I.C.(M.B.) has games of it’s own at play in the U.S. of A. and Canada.

  8. “I’m getting in extra popcorn to follow this case.”
That would make sense if you knew that the msm was going to cover it. As of now, there’s nothing on the NY Times website. Definitely a story they and others will want to bury.

  9. Debbie Washingmachine-Shultz and all the Dem operatives are dirty and deserve to be put through the wringer and hung out to dry!

“Andre Carson and Jackie Speier were signatories to a letter last year that eight Democrats on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence wrote to the chairman (Tom Price) and ranking Democrat (Wasserman Schultz, who we would surmise solicited the letter) demanding that funding be provided so their staffers might be given access to Top Secret Compartmented Information Security (TS/SCI) Clearance.
I’m thinking there is an irony here as these post Snowden background checks may have opened the can of worms.
I googled the House of Representatives 2015 telephone directory. The brothers had 10 extensions listed to their names. Conspicuous as hell compared to the rest of the staffers.
It’s like people don’t have brains any more.

  11. Awan has not worked for Wasserman Schultz for more than six months. Everyone is calling him her IT guy but actually, he and his two brothers worked for the Democratic National Committee. He was still on their payroll when he was arrested.
Wasserman Schultz is dirty, true, but the focus should not be on her alone. Everyone at the DNC was involved with the Awan IT debacle. They should all be investigated.

  12. He’ll escape the US in a month with help from his friends.
That’s why he wasn’t deemed a flight risk.

  13. My money says there’s a direct path from the Awan’s to the DNC email leaks to Seth Rich.

  14. I hope he likes Mexican food. Until he get suicided.
As the porous US border can also be used to send loose lips South of the border.

  15. “He appears to have gnawed off his foot, prior to shooting himself in the back of the head out in the middle of the prairie, we have yet to determine how he got there.” – the Dem friendly FBI agent, next week, likely.

  16. Great idea for a sequel to “Fargo”! Bring on Brainerd police chief Marge Gunderson: “So, that was Mrs. Lundegaard on the floor in there. And I guess that was your accomplice in the wood chipper. And those three people in Brainerd. And for what? For a little bit of money? There’s more to life than a little money, you know. Don’tcha know that? And here ya are, and it’s a beautiful day. Well. I just don’t understand it.”

  17. “Wasserman Schultz is dirty, true, but the focus should not be on her alone. Everyone at the DNC was involved with the Awan IT debacle. They should all be investigated.”
Everyone IS investigated, but the File became non-active under the Obama Justice Department…..and they are still running Justice…It looks more like Lynch is running the DOJ from her home..
That is why Jeff Sessions should be Fired… He made a deal with the Senate to recuse himself….Jeff Sessions betrayed all the Americans that voted for Trump & Justice…Jeff just wanted the Title, not the responsibility to obtain justice…He is Trumps Mute AG…Not ONE prosecution….
Jeff Sessions is controlled by the Senate.. and they don’t want all the corruption they allowed to become known….Yes! Republican Senators made sure Hillary was not prosecuted, they made a deal with the DNC
Jeff Sessions is like the leg-less Runner that demands to enter the Olympics 100 meter race, he will do everything but run the race.
Go back to the Senate Jeff, you belong with the Swamp vermin…
