    There is a web site dedicated to a Texas law enforcement officer named Bud “Uncle Bud” Russell who was the Texas Prison System “Chief Transfer Agent” for over 40 years. A website that’s been up for at least 12 years. Uncle Bud had hauled over 115,000 prisoners throughout the state of Texas. Only one had ever escaped.. They have his photo, along with his assistant standing beside a circa 1930’s White (White as in White Motor Corp.) truck. Bud Russel had hauled Clyde Barrow to Huntsville after the famous outlaw had escaped from Waco Prison. (If you scroll through the page, you’ll find the story.)

  8. He forgets that there will always be more old people. Skepticism re global warming is unrelated to what people did or did not learn in university. Most people who believe in global warming do not look at the science at all — they just believe the propaganda because they are naive. Old people are less naive. When the current older generation dies off, and it still ain’t warm, you will have a new generation of skeptics.

Antenor,I’m fully aware that Abacus is in bed with the LPC and always has been,but this article gets loads of attention in the msm and is seen by millions of Canadians who will nod and say,”uhuh,I knew it, most people LIKE Trudeau! He must be doing something right.All the negativism must be CPC propaganda!”
    I regularly post here to reader tips the polls of the Liberal loving pollsters just so we remember what information the rest of Canada is receiving. If we went only by conservative websites,we’d believe that Trudeau is going to lose badly in 2019.
    It’s my way of needling the conservatives to remember the forces that are set against us.
    btw,are there any deer living in the orange grove? I might be interested if there are. Boy,to shoot a big Saskabush white tail while he’s noshing on a giant navel…..

  19. my hunch is as the leftoid clintonesque masses continue to ‘rack up’ ‘victories’ in their ‘gotcha game’ that the Donald will simply slap them down with another well aimed and oddball humour retort.
    one must sympathize with that demographic; they are unaccustomed to thinking for themselves. the great ignorant unwashed who get their marching orders from on high and obey without question. this is why Im actually glad I have a form of autism. I questioned stuff long ago. it has NEVER been popular. it is however, one reason why I am a walking library. an example of that, back in the Trivia Pursuit days, I NEVER lost a match. it got to the point no one would take the challenge.

    The other day she made a mistake and said ‘the terrorists are winning’. Of course that left me an opening and I brought up the Khadar payment.
    She said she hadn’t thought of it that way and stated that she didn’t agree that Khadar should have been sent to that prison in the first place, blah, blah, blah….
    Anyway I smiled and wished her a nice day. What else can you say?

  27. Sorry you took offense at my comment it wasn’t directed at you personally but upon re-reading it I can see that I didn’t make myself clear. I worked for a major newspaper about thirty odd years ago and saw personally how the editorial desk filtered and skewed the news then and have been cognizant of how this has spread into the polling and advertising industries ever since. The joke was directed more so to new readers here rather than the regular commenters.

    Julie’s credentials are impressive but there’ve been a coupla hicups along the way:
    She was a driver involved in a fatal collision with a pedestrian.
    She was investigated for assault while undergoing a divorce.
    Does she sound like Governor General material?

  33. Some of this reflects inattentiveness on the part of voters. It seems to me that typically people simply reflect the general media spin without giving much thought to political preferences until close to an election when the current issues are highlighted. In general, the media has been soft on Trudeau and the Libs. They are not going after Libs for the Khadr payment, the economy or immigration issues. All of these issues will loom large come election time. By the next election, the CO2 tax will also have become an annoyance. This far out, polls can change on a weekly basis.

    Sure Payette is qualified, who isn’t? What else is there in her background that will come to light that will embarrass the Queen and Canadians? The process was circumvented and Payette is wearing it for now but this could all have been avoided if the process had been simply followed.
    The guy is outa control. It’s one stupid thing after another. Betts/Telford had better reign him in – if they can (I suspect they can’t).

It makes you wonder if they can’t even vet a Canadian for one of the prime positions in Canada how did they vet all those refugees,… Well I mean maybe they used the same process, I mean Uncle Ralphie told us they were all vetted, didn’t he and he wouldn’t lie to us would he?
