A modern day Peasants’ Revolt.
Caveat:
The poll utilizes a representative but non-random sample, therefore margin of error is not applicable. However, a probability sample of this size would yield a margin of error of plus or minus 2.9 percentage points 19 times out of 20.
Spring 2019 is a ways away, we’ll see.

Unfortunately, the collapse of the NDP in Alberta and BC (it will follow, rest assured) will profit the Federal Liberals because many idiots will switch from the NDP to the Liberals in 2019. Unless Trudeau offers to take the terrorist left in Guantanamo as refugees. Although a people who managed to vote Trudeau as PM in the first place might consider this a great idea.
I’ll believe any sort of “revolt” is happening when some of these elite overseers at any level of .gov get dragged out of the Leg, down the steps & tarred & feathered, then run outta town on a rail.
Until then, it’s just some anonymous poll & not even close to reflective on Albertans pov.
More a sarcastic recovery than a revolt…

2500 Pemex (captcha). A hidden sign to invest in Mexican oil.
I think he’s pointing out that talk is cheap…or all hat, no cattle…etc.
It will not collapse it will morph into a “right of center” party sayyyyy uuummm like “unite the right” rats always flee the sinking ship and you can bet the PROGRESSIVE conservatives will run the party. what i am actually hoping for is a total economic collapse in alberta and canada once if it ever does with all of the 400k plus immigrants we are piling up per year in this country im not sure the real estate bubble will ever pop i wish it would because i am debt and mortgage free. I think the newer generations need a good ol soap in the mouth kinda wake up call that this antifa and anti capitalist sentiment will have long lasting painful effects if we keep going this way. its fine to see europe destroy itself …we dont feel that here. i want some real tangible pain and suffering here. i lok at calgary and all i see is non stop building i look at airdrie and balzac in balzac alberta a mall is currently being built supposedly 2 times the size of west edmonton mall look it up …..AND ITS ALL ASAIN STORES. ITS ALL ASIAN MONEY ,INVESTMENT,ECT ECT. no one will even blink ndp 2019….guarenteed. and besides if another party is elected is it going to be any different? wild rosers now beleive in man made global warming, progressive conservatives knee jerk reaction to not wanting to home school your kids with the gay agenda as bigoted andm ust be taken from thier parents …..there is no difference between any of the three parties in alberta anymore… so one spends a bit lessbig woop.
i agree creepy redford , jason kenny, brian jean all globalist baglickerz at least notley does not hide her communist loyalties
It’s disturbing that even so many said the economic management is positive, but I bet that is very concentrated in Deadmonton.
Still, you need a better poll.
“ITS ALL ASAIN STORES. ITS ALL ASIAN MONEY ,INVESTMENT,ECT ECT.”
…and? Also, have you considered changing meds? That might be worth considering for anyone blathering about ‘globalists’.
So I take it 32% of all Albertans work for the government.
I did not say it was a bad thing moron. i was simply linking the only reason the housing bubble has not burst yet is the foreign money being dumped into Canada by the 10’s of billions of dollars and the globalist morons in our politics will continue to sell Canada to the highest bidder. Kevin Leary or justhtin Trudeau Canada is for sale so dont be surprised to be a minority in your own little town. culture matters not all cultures are equal.
“Canada is for sale so dont be surprised to be a minority in your own little town. culture matters not all cultures are equal. ”
I can’t wait. When there is no more ethno-cultural majority, there won’t be any more whining about preserving it (although I’m already a minority as is anyone who wants freedom). Canada for sale? Lets hope so.
“Edmonton Proper and Calgary Proper are harbouring the main NDP proponents”
Last I heard, it seemed pretty limited to Redmonton. Calgary is (was?) the PC stronghold.
Jumped on the hog and rode out to civilization on the weekend (well Red Deer). Had a beer with a buddy who told me his kid had sold his condo recently. Had it 5 years and got 10k less than he paid. It’s a 10yo building in a good part of town. Doesn’t sound like the AB recovery has kicked itself into high gear.
Stopped in to see my MLA (WR) on the way home but the office was closed even though the sign said, ‘Open Monday’.
The dippers will not be easily routed unless a total collapse takes place. Almost every seat in Redmonton will return a dipper. The unionistas will vote ndp enmasse. That leaves Calgary where the ndp has some support and the hinterland where the WR is firmly entrenched. If the PC vote cant sway Calgary in a merger with WR or another party emerges to split the vote even further the ndp will carry the day in ’19.
You can sit on the sidelines and bitch or you can get out your wallet and go do something. Trump pulled it off in America. It could happen in AB.
So which culture do you hope to be living under because weather you beleive it or not you will live under a dominant culture.
Red Deer is one of the last places I would call ‘civilization’ next to, well, Edmonton.
Last I saw, the NDP were pretty far behind. As in ‘third place’. I really don’t see how they can carry it in ’19 especially with their support so concentrated in Edmonton.
The only Tromp pulled off was being up against Hillary Clinton. His election was the result of a bizarre series of temporary events, not to be repeated.
33% approve???
They must all be on the government pay lists.
Obviously they don’t know or care where money comes from, just as long as it comes to them.
Yeah, that’s probably a true number!
My riding is Calgary Shaw – WR to NDP in a flash. The WR dude crossed the floor. OOPS! I wonder if he found a job yet. Was another of those young 30-something dudes with 2-3 kids already & looking for a meal ticket.
And no, I did not vote for the NDP dude, another youngster with kids & a low paying job, looking for a better meal ticket, before he was sworn in.
It’s a METRO poll, the green rag they hand out for free at the LRT. There HQ is in Stockholm & they sell themselves as “…where the unique content from Metro’s more than 150 cities is mixed with the global outlook.” Hmmmm, OK. Globalists?
The polling outfit is ThinkHQ Public Affais Inc.. never heard of them, but their media partners are CTV & METRO & they are affiliated with Canadian Strategy Group headquartered in Edmonton. Of note, one of their “team” is Moe Sihota of BC NDP fame, the rest are a variety of .gov back room types with a variety of CV’s from CTV & assorted other .gov functions. Oh, and they’ve all been involved with, well .gov, all the time.
ALL government, all the time & another panel like all the other Public Policy rent seekers. They are probably part of that 32%.
I’m not a slick from the city so I guess Red Deer seems civilized to me. Silly me.
