Why should this be surprising? Apparently Walt Disney faked some of the scenes in his film White Wilderness, particularly the lemming jump. Also, according to what I heard, some of the “arctic” settings were actually filmed in Banff National Park.
My son in law SURFS on the OC beaches where these “shark week” media types get chummy with their shark friends. I hope they fall overboard next time they attack a few “juvenile” sharks. Idiots.

Ha. Wish I could send the picture, but I’ve just returned from Cape Town where I took a photo of a crew of three filming penguins INSIDE the Cape Town aquarium.
I had remarked to my wife that I’d never view a National Geographic program in quite the same way again.
