You’re right. Because Justin Trudeau makes something legal to gain brownie points with the narcotic cult does not reduce health risks associated with pot.
How about the damage it does to your lungs when you inhale it?
Mayo Clinic is a world class medical institution. Let’s see what they say about pot! http://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/marijuana/safety/hrb-20059701
Sorry folks, but it doesn’t appear as safe as Justin made it to be.
Since when have facts ever stopped a politician from speaking twaddle, particularly during an election?
Hmm. Funny the CMA refused to speak out on this when Harper was in power even as they were encouraged to do so. This is an important warning, but in my view they have lost some credibility for playing politics with the issue at an earlier point.
Those Jewish guys absolutely nailed the intro (although I didn’t hear one of them cough just before starting but hey I’ve heard the original so many times I expect a cough).
Regarding pot, today’s marijuana is not the stuff your uncle smoked back in the 1960s. As recently as the 1980s the THC component in pot was about 4%. Today it is over 20% and in some cases over 30%. This is like smoking 4-5 of uncle John’s joints and he would smoke 3-4 before hopping in his VW beetle to get some snackies. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/marijuana-far-more-potent-than-it-used-to-be-tests-find/
The Ring of Fire in Northern Ontario is said to contain tens of billions of dollars of chromite, nickel, copper and platinum group elements (PGE). As the following article explains, the Provincial Government refuses to properly engage First Nations and their issues as well as environmental concerns. https://www.thestar.com/opinion/commentary/2017/05/29/ontarios-ring-of-fire-development-plan-has-major-flaws.html
The “real” problem is that people (like the ones who wrote the above article) are now looking to the government to solve these problems rather than to the mining companies that would normally invest in the region. There are no mining companies willing to invest the billions required to develop these deposits because they know the government will control the process rendering their investment uneconomic.
We are in a new era of mining in Ontario. The government wants to control how the mining company makes its investment. Therefore few mining companies will want to take on such a large project due to risk of government interference. No investment, no development, no jobs for the local First Nations and no taxes for the government. Meanwhile the mining companies are looking overseas in areas like Indonesia, the Congo and Philippines – all perceived as safer havens than Ontario’s Far North.
And where do mining companies raise the money to invest in these foreign mining projects? Much of it from financings through the Toronto Stock Exchange with most of the investment coming from wealthy Ontarians.
Well done Wynne.

30% of what? It can’t be 30 percent of the weight of the bud, because the, like any other part of a plant is about 80 percent water, then the rest is mostly cellulose.
