Was Russia, and specifically the overwrought “Russia hacked the election” narrative, used as camouflage for what was actually a political spying operation? Do you really think the Obama administration, which turned the Internal Revenue Service and the Justice Department into process cudgels for beating Obama detractors, would be above that sort of thing?

Yes yes yes. As Steyn has said on at least one occasion, this is an attempt at reverse engineering. They didn’t think he’d win the election and so thought Hill would be McFoodstamp’s successor. As such, they were like – hey, let’s have some fun and use all our deep state intel resources to spy on Trump’s campaign.
I still don’t trust the Repubs to get to the bottom of this though. They hate Trump almost as much as the Dems. There will be no repercussions. The swamp will not be drained.

The FISA warrant they had to spy on the minor Trump associate was obtained by using the fake pee dossier as evidence for the judge to grant the warrant. What I find amusing is that the main stream media’s path of rejection is based on the stance that Obama couldn’t possibly have done anything like this because it would be in violation of the law…as if he would be bound by such an act. They refuse to take that step towards the possibility that this was mostly done below the table, and in direct violation of privacy laws.
He couldn’t possibly do that…could he? No need to look into it further. And, when a little tidbit spills out against their collective efforts (Susan Rice)…all of a sudden they want to talk about something else, and all facets of the Russian intervention is flushed out of the news cycle.
Obama doesn’t RANT like Nixon. Obama doesn’t SWEAT like Nixon. Obama didn’t tape record like Nixon. No … Obama was MUCH BETTER at breaking and entering than NIXON. Obama weaponized the entire US Federal Government against his political enemies. Obama’s “plumbers” are everywhere. In every department and in every agency. Obama has infected our nation with maggots burrowed deep into the body of our Liberty.
The American people are in a life and death struggle to find and remove these parasites. President Trump was simply our first inoculation of what will prove to be a lengthy round of anti-Obamics.
It was the Russians, it was the Russians. We’re absolutely certain of it – all we need is a witch hunt to “prove” it. Evidence schmevidence.

The headline writers at Pravda couldn’t improve on this week’s official lie, tweeted out by the Maggie Habermans: “Susan Rice Did Nothing Wrong, Say Both Dem and Republican House Aides.”

A legal advocacy group led by conservative radio host Mark Levin, the Landmark Legal Foundation, has filed a request with the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court requesting a “full investigation” of multiple leaks on surveillance activity conducted at the behest of the court.
Many former associates of President Trump were then identified in news reports, likely as a result of those requests. Landmark argues that this is an illegal abuse of the FISA process.
