    Lasers and Molotov cocktails deter the foot soldiers. Heavy rubble makes even progress difficult for the wheels.
    Parked cars set on fire are tricky to get past.Heavy stuff dropped from the high buildings can make life difficult.

  4. I would assume that a tracked vehicle would be much more effective.
    I do remember the Ringling Bros. circus coming to town when I was a kid. They had D-2 and D-4 Cats with rubber pads on the grousers not to mess up asphalt. Get a D-8 with rubberized tracks, a blade, an armored cab and an experienced dozer operator from Fort Mac at the controls, and the anti-Trump crowd will be fleeing the unit like rats running from a barn fire!
    I do remember reading this story about an Italian named Aurelio Tassone who used the blade on a Cat D-8 to bury Japanese machine gun nests WWII. I read this in a Caterpillar history book many years ago. This quote is from Wikipedia.

    More than half are suicide. Much of the rest are Somalians killing each other.
    1) Without guns, most of the suicides will still happen.
    2) Don’t allow your kids to be gay. Despite all the feel-good crap, the stigma of being gay is still here and gay males have a brutally high suicide rate.
    3) I never feared guns in my kid’s hands. Your kid’s friends, from homes without guns, are the killers. Lock em up – the guns that is.

  15. It must be spring here in Edmonton.
    A pair of Canada geese that I’ve seen in my apartment complex over the past 2 or 3 years appear to be back. It’s quite a sight to see them walking along the roof of one of the low-rises, looking across the neighbourhood like monarchs surveying their domains. And, yes, they can make quite a racket but, as far as I’m concerned, it’s music to my ears.
    I’ve also noticed that the rabbits that come onto the grounds are slowly changing colour, though, because of the reduced snow cover, they are quite conspicuous.
    Finally, I heard the neighbourhood squirrel making noise for the first time this year.
    Despite those signs, the weather doesn’t seem to be co-operating very much. As I’m writing this, Environment Canada’s official temperature is 1 C. Then again, I suppose the critters are properly dressed for it.

  18. The caveat in the liberal plan on marijana is that it will still have a law on the books that make possession a criminal offense.
    All the advocates wanted was to change the law so that simple possession was not a criminal offense….so they said.
    What juthtin wants is to make sure the criminal organizations don’t profit from the sale…cause government doesn’t like competition.
    Has anyone heard juthtin say simple possession would be struck from the law books or that its the intent to limit supply to only the government approved source..sort of how that government run healthcare works.

  20. CBC now labels comments criticizing Islam as “Islamophobic”
    some of the “Islamophobic” things said at the meeting regarding Muslim prayers in public schools:
    “You’re implementing an Islamic dominance rule in this country. That’s what you’re doing. We support Canadian values. No beheadings. No female genital mutilation. No child marriage. We don’t allow that in Canada. That’s what this books [Quran] says. We don’t religion in schools. The money dollar [from Saudi Arabia] is your pocket making decision for you. Mohammad the pedophile, and a warlord and a rapist. [Religion] does not belong in schools. Go to Pakistan. We will be in a Sharia [Islamic] Law state. It’s a book of hate [the Quran].     While some of these comments may be considered over-the-top, they’re tame compared to what’s being preached in Canadian mosques, such as calling for Jews to be murdered. Nothing said at this school board meeting remotely compares.

  29. Scar is correct. Most firearm accidents and homicides are suicide or gang related. As well this ‘study’ conveniently included incidents with pellet guns and b-b guns. Other than suicides, accidents with legally owned and legally secured firearms are very infrequent. This ‘study’ was obviously concocted to pander to urban lieberals with preconceived notions about firearms with no basis in reality. Just another example of how totally fvcked southern Ontario has become.
