  2. Yesterday the NDP announced details of a $21.5 million spending program where Albertans can have someone from the government come into their house and retrofit it with low-flow shower heads and new LED lightbulbs at taxpayers expense.
    The NDP claims this service is ‘free.’ But where is the money coming from? It’s coming from you – via the multi-billion dollar job-killing carbon tax!
    That’s right: The NDP is taking money from Albertans, buying lightbulbs and shower heads, then telling us that we should be grateful for all the presents the Government is providing.

  11. They did this in the GTA, prior to my moving, about 6 or 7 years ago, hand delivering the items door to door without any prior announcement. The young immigrant lady employed to do this insisted on entering the home to install the shower head. I absolutely refused to allow her entry but took the items. I still have the low flow shower head in a closet somewhere. The two led bulbs are installed in lamps, I believe. Think about this…what was this exercise all about? A total bureaucratic cock-up with no measurable outcomes? I can only guess, and am not comforted by my conclusions.

    But what do I know?
    I figure anyone that meets the requirements should be allowed to run even not matter their philosophical views. I figure that allowing a no holds barred debate on who can best articulate conservative policy will weed out the chaff.
    How could I be so wrong?
    I guess we should do what the liberals do and stick handle a chosen candidate to the big chair even going so far as to allow the anointed one two extra weeks to organize the votes…..er supporters prior to the leadership vote.

    Where the guy says “charge it” it remotely loads. That should clear a malfunction. As far a loading new belts – plan ahead. You really don’t want to deliberately go into battle with a Hummer. However, it is nice to provide your own cover fire.
