Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Liberals have been testing the limits of Canadian’s attitudes on refugees.
What makes me suspicious is when I see (alleged) refugees crossing our borders illegally, their clothes neatly packed in Samsonite luggage, wearing Dockers, then being greeted by the RCMP. Something’s wrong somewhere. I’ve lived here 67 years, my paternal grandfather’s family arrived here in 1770, my maternal grandparent’s family in 1880, and I still wear Walmart jeans.
I’m surprised Trudeau hasn’t provided them with new SUV’s to make crossing the border easier.

PS: I’m from Saskatchewan, and I’m one of the 55% that is saying that enough is enough!
These folks have managed the “fee” to get into the USA from say, Somalia, plus luggage. As families, too. Air fare ain’t cheap, especially from the other side of the planet to central USA. They seem to live well while illegal in the USA, too. They weren’t sent back on arrival into the USA. Where do they get their money? Why are we even accepting them, as the USA was their “first choice”? It isn’t “war torn Somalia” in any event. Send ’em back to Uncle Sam’s World. That’s where they want to be, or they would have come here in the first place.
I bet the demographic for these “refugees” is the same as elsewhere, 75% males with cell phones?

Some conservatives need to smarten up.
It is stupid to say hateful things about MP Irqa Khalid and post them on the internet.
THAT’S…WHAT…SHE…WANTS
Read it again until it sinks in.
She uses any hateful remarks to play the victim of ‘islamophobia’ and that’s why she believes free speech regarding Islam must be suppressed. Hateful comments make her job as an activist Muslim easier. We don’t want to do that, do we?
Remember the wise advice Napoléon gave his generals:
Ne jamais interférer avec votre ennemi quand il fait une erreur.
“Never interfere with your enemy when he is making a mistake.”
Instead of making hateful comments about Ms Khalid, tell Canadians about her Muslim activist work and her association with the Muslim Brotherhood and other organizations with terrorist links. Let what she has done speak for itself.
Encourage her, write and praise her Muslim activist work, and ask for more information, then share it to show her agenda.
Canadians deserve to know the truth. Spread truth, not hatred. It’s much more effective.
Irqa Khalid was President of the Muslim Student Association when she was a student at York University (early 2000s). The Muslim Student Association was founded by adherents of the Muslim Brotherhood in 1963. The Muslim Student Association has a series of alumni who have become suicide bombers, ISIS fighters and ISIS propagandists.
http://tsecnetwork.ca/2017/01/27/member-of-parliament-iqra-khalid-is-an-islamist-hypocrite/
Ms Khalid is the daughter of Dr. Hafiz Khalid, a long-time associate of the ISNA and formerly a vocal supporter of Jamaat-e-Islami.
[as affirmed by the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit “the government has produced ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR, ISNA, NAIT, with the Islamic Association for Palestine, and with Hamas”.]
MP Iqra Khalid, like MP Omar Alghabra, is typical of the Islamist extremists that are using political Entryism to infiltrate our political system. She leads and supports front groups which espouse Islamist extremism, such as the Muslim Student Association, yet at the same time claims to be a victim of the (largely) fake concept of Islamophobia.

Reporters Peter Arnett & Carl Bernstein have a common CNN operating MO. The Media CNN kept hiring Arnett after his reporting in Vietnam that he had celebrated when Saigon fell & was known to the Cong Communists.. They knew his loyalty was with the communists..see World Socialist Web Site (International Committee of the Fourth International
Anti antisemitism is on the rise… Why? ask CNN why they air Carl Bernstein (the communist) and person behind the Russian Connection… He is an anti-American Jew who is disliked
Google and read the following
Peter Arnett, NZ
Arnett was one of the last western reporters in Saigon after its capture by the Vietnam People’s Army (NVA). Occupying soldiers showed him how they had entered the city.
Iraq:
About halfway through the war the CIA approached Mr. Arnett. They believed that the Iraqi military was operating a high-level communication network from the basement of the Al Rashid Hotel, which is where Mr. Arnett and a few others from CNN were staying. The CIA wanted him out so the Air Force could bomb the hotel, but Mr. Arnett refused. He said he had been given a tour of the hotel and denied there was such a facility.[13]
The co-producers of the report, April Oliver and Jack Smith, were dismissed. They sued Time Warner, the parent company of CNN, claiming they had been wrongfully fired, and Time Warner ultimately paid millions of dollars to settle their lawsuits, along with other suits brought by military personnel who claimed to have been libeled in the Oliver/Smith report. Senior producer Pam Hill and others resigned. Oliver was later quoted by the World Socialist Web Site (International Committee of the Fourth International) as saying that: [Arnett’s] firing was a direct result of Pentagon pressure. Perry Smith [a retired USAF major general and former CNN consultant who resigned in protest over the Tailwind report] told the Wall Street Journal last July that CNN would not get cooperation from the Pentagon unless Peter Arnett was fired. […] They will do anything to stem the flow of information.
— April Oliver[15]
Earlier in the interview he said:
[O]ur reports about civilian casualties here, about the resistance of the Iraqi forces, are going back to the United States. It helps those who oppose the war when you challenge the policy to develop their arguments.
— Peter Arnett[17]
When Arnett’s remarks sparked a “firestorm of protest”, NBC initially defended him, saying he had given the interview as a professional courtesy and that his remarks were “analytical in nature”. A day later, though, NBC, MSNBC and National Geographic all severed their relationships with Arnett.[18] In response to Arnett’s statement on Iraqi TV, NBC stated: It was wrong for Mr. Arnett to grant an interview with state-controlled Iraqi TV, especially at a time of war and it was wrong for him to discuss his personal observations and opinions.
Arnett responded:
My stupid misjudgment was to spend fifteen minutes in an impromptu interview with Iraqi television. I said in that interview essentially what we all know about the war, that there have been delays in implementing policy, there have been surprises.
— Peter Arnett
Later that day, Arnett was hired by the British tabloid, The Daily Mirror, which had opposed the war. A couple of days later he was also assigned to Greek television channel NET television, and Belgian
Why doesn’t our government check out Khalid’s link’s to the Muslim brotherhood and her association with other terrorist groups?
Does this not pose a threat to our security or does the Charter override our right to do so under the Freedom of Religion clause?
It’s dumbfounding how so many are getting elected to our governments and I cannot believe they are not infiltrating to serve their own causes.
We need to stop taking their bait but we also need to ensure their shit is exposed, we cannot rely on the media.

For the same reason the government does not worry about Monsef`s lack of citizenship eligibility. The government`s `base` is Muslim and feminists. They need to promote women and Muslims to ensure their continued support. Challenging a Muslim would be a problem for Liberals. If Canadian traditional values and white males are sacrificed in the deceptive process of promoting these other groups, that is not a Liberal concern. I am all for treating people fairly, but that is not what is happening here. Liberals are all about identity politics and promoting one group over another to win their votes.
Muslims and feminists are not exactly a mix. Muslim women are not equal to men in Islamic theocracies and many of their practices here show that….full burkas look like punishment to me, what woman would choose that? Our Charter says we are all equal under the law but if ever some idiotic government sends a bill to allow sharia law here will the SCC interpret that as freedom of religion and stamp it?

By the time they actually are up front and send a bill to allow sharia, there will be an islamic supreme court.
Not that it matters when our judges already think being required to follow the law violates judicial independence (actual basis for niqab citizenship nonsense). Then there is our Supreme Court that feels it is a great injustice that they are expected to rule based on Canada’s constitution and laws and not be able to consider international standards instead.

“Reports: Stock Market has Best 30-Day, Post-Inauguration Rise in 54 or 108 Years”
“The stock market has jumped sharply since President Donald Trump’s inauguration, prompting CNN and Fox News to issue rival reports over whether it is the best post-inauguration performance in 54 years or 108 years.
CNN says the Standard & Poor’s Index of 500 top stocks have climbed 3.8 percent in the 30 days since Trump was inaugurated. That’s the best performance in the 54 years since the market rose 6 percent after Vice President Lyndon Baines Johnson was sworn into office in November 1963 once President Jack Kennedy was assassinated, CNN reports.
Fox News, however, used data from the Wall Street Journal to show that the Dow Jones Industrial Average group of companies has risen by 4.02 percent since inauguration day. That’s the best 30-day, post-inauguration performance in 108 years, or since the DJIA rose 5.07 percent in the 30 days after President William Taft put his hand on the Bible in March 1909, says Fox.”

Douglas Todd, columnist on religion, ‘Vancouver Sun,’ has always seemed ‘off’ to me (no common sense!)…I hadn’t read his opinion pieces for a while, because I find him annoying. Last night, I must have been bored, because I read his slanted screed. He doesn’t seem to understand the concept of freedom of expression:
—————-
A growing number of Christians in Metro Vancouver want to stop controversial U.S. evangelist Franklin Graham from leading a major crusade next month in the city.
Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson recently met with evangelical, Catholic and mainline Protestant leaders to discuss concerns about the visit of Graham, who regularly denigrates Islam, homosexuals, Democratic party politicians, and atheists.
Provocative statements by Graham have become increasingly worrying to many Metro Vancouver Christians since the evangelist presided at the January inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump, who criticizes Muslim immigrants, and after a lone gunman was charged last month with murdering six Muslims in Quebec.
“The mayor is concerned about safety. The kind of statements Graham makes about Muslims and gays can really inflame the situation,” said Vancouver City councillor Tim Stevenson, who coordinated the meeting and is also the first openly homosexual person ordained by the United Church of Canada.

More grist for the mill, though imho connections not confirmed at this time, but “troubling” as lefties like to say:
“House Dem IT Guys In Security Probe Secretly Took $100K In Iraqi Money.”
Rogue congressional staffers took $100,000 from an Iraqi politician while they had administrator-level access to the House of Representatives’ computer network, according to court documents examined by The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group.”
The money was a loan from Dr. Ali al-Attar, an Iraqi political figure, and was funneled through a company with “impossible”-to-decipher financial transactions that the congressional information technology (IT) staffers controlled.”
Imran Awan, ringleader of the group that includes his brothers Abid and Jamal, has provided IT services since 2005 for Florida Democrat Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the former Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairwoman. The brothers are from Pakistan.”
The trio also worked for dozens of other House Democrats, including members of the intelligence, foreign affairs and homeland security committees. Those positions likely gave them access to congressional emails and other sensitive documents.”
The brothers, whose access to House IT networks has been terminated, are under criminal investigation by the U.S. Capitol Police.”
Wasserman Schultz resigned from her DNC post following a disastrous email hack during the 2016 campaign. Her House spokesman did not respond to TheDCNF’s question Monday about Imran’s employment status. As of Feb. 6, she had declined to fire Imran.”
Investigators found that congressional information was being copied to an off-site server and they suspect the brothers of improperly accessing information and stealing congressional property. Chiefs of staff for the employing Democrats were notified Feb. 2.”
Soon after Imran began working for members of Congress, Imran’s and Abid’s wives — Hina Alvi and Natalia Sova — also began receiving congressional paychecks, TheDCNF found. Imran’s employers included two members of the intelligence committee, Indiana Democrat Rep. Andre Carson and California Democrat Rep. Jackie Speier.”
By 2009, the family was simultaneously managing a full-time car dealership in Virginia, with Abid running day-to-day operations after contributing $250,000 in startup cash. It was called Cars International A, LLC, referred to as “CIA” in court documents.”
Imran boasted unusual clout among House Democrats, and was even pictured conversing with former President Bill Clinton. After Rao Abbas, who was owed money by the dealership, threatened to sue amid allegations of deception and theft, Abbas appeared on the congressional payroll and received $250,000 in taxpayer payments.”

“College Writing Center Declares American Grammar A ‘Racist,’ ‘Unjust Language Structure’ ”
An “antiracist” poster in a college writing center insists American grammar is “racist” and an “unjust language structure,” promising to prioritize rhetoric over “grammatical ‘correctness.’”
The poster, written by the director, staff, and tutors of the University of Washington, Tacoma’s Writing Center, states “racism is the normal condition of things,” declaring that it permeates rules, systems, expectations, in courses, school and society.”
Not one example of racist writing provided. IOW, it’s “systemic,” aka no evidence, just belief, it “sounds right,” so OK to assume, since it fits the narrative.

Many years ago, while I was teaching at a post-secondary institution, I expressed frustration about how poorly my students wrote, particularly their spelling. Those same students would graduate and go to work in industry where they could be writing work orders or reports, situations in which a mistake could be costly.
The department secretary at the time defended their sloppiness with the statement that “language is evolving”.
Unfortunately, she wasn’t alone with that sort of thinking. I was specifically told by one of the department administrators to simply teach enough material that the students would be able to get a “good” job, whatever that was supposed to be.
My experiences were similar.
I went to Royal Military College from the ranks, with just decent marks from high school and a community college general business program.
More than one of my professors thought I “wrote well;” in other words, better than the kids, who were all bright and scholars at their high schools.
It was a sign of the times then and has only gotten worse imho, with free rides from calculators and spell checkers.
I had a MWO who constantly corrected me on the use of I and me, but it stuck. Very few people know the grammatical rule and default to I.
Such as: Bob went to the store with John and I; not John and me as it should be. Apparently that is OK in our free range grammar environments.
