Panzer Corps from Matrix/Slitherine is a remake of a classic SSI game, Panzer General, which itself was a remake of their original Panzer Grenadier. I’ve spent too many hours on both. I played a lot of Panzer Grenadier on the old Commodore 64 in the mid-80’s.

  3. Isn’t it about time that we address the big camel in the room? A lot of Muslime men are asswholes. Too many are misogynistic, homophobic, racist, xenophobic to the extreme, and violently oppress women and anyone who isn’t Muslime. They make our average North American bigoted red-neck look like an angel. They are responsible for more than 95% of the crime by Muslims. The problem is their ideology condones and reinforces such behaviour. Religious excuses are made, and incidents are suppressed as a ‘cultural misunderstanding’ and blamed on ‘islamophobia’. The problem is misogynistic Muslime men. It’s time for the Muslime community to stop making excuses and playing the victim card. So called moderate Muslimes must denounce misogynist men and oppression of women’s rights if they want to be accepted as Canadians.

  6. Panzer Corps is great. My only beef is with the experience caps within scenarios. If you’ve got a really good infantry in the first couple “episodes” that lives and uses veteran reinforcements, it hits a cap real soon.

    I find the remittances clock representing the money sent back home by these immigrants quite disturbing. Where is the benefit to the Canadian economy? It’s obvious we are being used on a global scale, with the tacit approval of our elected officials.

Canadians look down their noses at Americans for wanting to get rid of Mexican illegals,but not only is there a crime problem with this group, many collect welfare and send billions out of the US to Mexico each year. It is a serious drain on the economy. In addition, those collecting welfare sometimes also work and can undercut wages because they also get welfare. Coulter’s book, Adios America is very enlightening about the problems which are too often nicely covered up by MSM.

  17. Misogyny is a very broad term:
    Definition: “dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women”
    Personally, I find it a meaningless term for that very reason. Much like the terms homophobic or racist. Way too broad.
    I happen to like women very much. I listen to their advice and frequently follow their counsel. But when it comes down to hard choices and advance thinking…. not so much. Men and women are complementary but they are not the same.
    I won’t support women in leadership positions, ever, regardless of political or other affiliation, and I rarely read women authors. These are learned prejudices over many years of experience. If that makes me a misogynist so be it…. but I don’t see it that way.
    Moslem men (in general) don’t hate women. They are simply indoctrinated with a set of beliefs. Moslem women are as well. Moslem treatment of women is not a learned prejudice, it’s taught. And speaking of beliefs, the belief in the ‘west’ is that moslems who come to live in western culture will become “enlightened” and will moderate and change their behavior. That may happen but it will take decades(multiple generations)if at all.

NO! NO! if search warrants turn-up Trumps Tax returns and/or any top secret transcripts both criminal & Civil (Flynn) have a slam dunk..
    Interesting to see Geraldo Rivera almost in tears after O’Riely called him UN-American… First Generation Americans have a problem with the concept of “Innocent until proven Guilty”, and mixing that up with the Scientific process necessity of proving a theory..   29. It’s a definite change from when my parents and I came to this country in the mid-1950s. We were expected to conduct ourselves like Canadians by following Canadian laws, rules, and customs.
    For many immigrants, adopting Canadian ways was a source of pride, something to strive for because coming to Canada, and even becoming a citizen, meant a new beginning and a fresh start.

Since I come from a similar background I know that your parents didn’t come here with their hands out expecting the government to ‘gift’ all that the present-day refugees and immigrants get and yet these present day new-comers are starting to demand that we change our Canadian identity to accommodate them.

  32. Now it’s offensive to even express the notion that there is such a thing as “Canadian ways” or Canadian culture. You want to wear a face mask at our Citizenship ceremony as a symbol of the superiority of your old-world beliefs? No problem. Or maybe you chose to lie at the Citizenship ceremony by declaring loyalty to Canada. That’s ok too.   38. I never played Panzer General, but I have and loved Panzer General II.
    Unfortunately, it won’t run on my 64 bit Windows 10.
    Does anyone have a solution?

  41. CBC’s distorted ‘reporting’ of Trump’s comments was as expected. CBC’s anti-Trump propaganda will have serious and detrimental consequences if Trump decides that Canada isn’t an ally.
