Having sent an e-mail to every MP re Motion M-103, I received a personal reply from one Liberal MP who is supporting the motion.
Here is my response to him and cc’d to all other MP’s.
________________________________________________________________________________
Mr. Hehr;
Let me begin by letting you know how much I appreciate your direct response.
Having said that, we shall have to agree to disagree. Every time I hear a phrase such as “diversity is our strength” I immediately think “pablum”. It is trite. It is meaningless. It is designed to ‘virtue signal’ to others that you are a right thinking person.
If you think Motion M-103 will not be part of a slippery slope, I would refer you to Ezra Levant vs. Human Rights Commission of Alberta, Mark Steyn and Mcleans Magazine vs. Canadian Human Rights Commission or Rev. Stephen Boission vs. Alberta Human Rights and Citizenship Commission.
All of these attempts to censor citizens by government failed – as they should. Nonetheless, the process was the punishment. Mr. Levant had to spend more than $100,000 to defend himself, with no recourse for compensation following the overturning of the Human Rights Tribunal complaint. These people’s financial and social lives were nearly destroyed in a process that Motion M-103 helps to legitimize. Complainants have every advantage in bringing complaints forward and no responsibility to recompense or even apologize to those whose reputations they have damaged.
People must be protected from hateful actions against their home or property. I agree. We have laws and processes in place to deal with such. The government has no place in legislating the protection of people’s feelings.
I urge you to take a principled stand and vote against this motion.
Nicely done NG! I hope eventually you get more responses and are able to forward the same.
“diversity is our strength”
I suppose that’s why Liberals love their pedophiles and other rapists so much.
Why do so many Canadians despise and dislike Muslimes? Maybe it’s because so many of their men are hateful, violent, misogynistic, child molesters, pedophiles and disrespectful oppressors of women and other religious ideologies. Maybe it’s because when their men commit atrocious criminal acts, few if any Muslimes condemn those acts, and instead pretend that they are all victims of ‘Islamophobia’.
The Liberals can pass all the “Islamophobia Motions” and “Islamic hate laws” they want. That’s so typical of their arrogant attitude of demanding special treatment for some minorities. All it will do is solidify the growing dislike that more and more Canadians have for savages who are only here to take advantage of our generous social benefits, to isolate themselves in enclaves, to set themselves apart by their actions, to disrespect our laws and values, to practice barbaric, aggressive, and oppressive customs, and try to change Canada to be like the shítholes they escaped from.
Islamiphobia only exists for those that follow the tenets of islam.
If you are not one of those that believe Mohammed actually existed, well how can you fear something that is in your pov a false belief.
The bible both the old and new testament make no mention of a prophet that will arise 600 years after the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
There is in my opinion no factual record as a foundation for the religion that is refered to as Islam.
That being said, I don’t hold to the belief that every muslim is inherently a bad person. I do however believe they share the similar trait that liberals do, that they know a great many things that are just not true. They seem to believe that Gods laws must be forcibly enforced and judgement is to be meted out in this world not the next, and that judgement being determined based on what the religious authority in the vicinity deems neccessary. Unlike Judaism or Christianity which dictates what mortal sin is but that only one omnipresent, omnipotent spiritual being has the authority to pass judgement in the hereafter. Yet even though I do not believe islam has any legitimacy I also believe those that do should not be barred from observance of their faith. The trick is that no one religion can force the nonbelievers to conform to their tenets of faith. Its that inherent right to liberty we are given by nature that exihibited itself when we decided to walk upright, till the ground, learn to make things and generally evolve to the sophisticated world we inhabit now.
Now a quick bit of historical reference. Back a few centuries, the emperor of Rome got tired of the bickering going on between the churches over questions of belief, disputes similar today between the Shia and Sunni sects of Islam. So the emperor ordered representatives from all the churches to meet in Nicea to hammer out an agreement on what it is that makes someone a Christian. At the end of the process they came of with the Nicean Creed. The statement of the tenets of christian belief. The point I am getting to is that to my awareness (and I’d be happy to be corrected if I am in error) there has to date been no similar grand council of all muslims to work out an agreed universal muslim belief. Therefore its very easy for anyone to make it up as they go along…much like the terrorist groups have been doing to justify their acts of terrorism.
This brings me back to the current topic on the motion in question. Unless the advocates can explain how someone who does not follow the muslim faith can have phobia about it, let alone define what the universal islamic faith is, then I must assume there is some flaw in their argument in favour of this motion. Which then makes this motion an act of bad faith….pardon the pun.
Fyi. For those that wish to argue that if I don’t believe in Mohammed how can I have an opinion on the belief.
Well its this, I said I didn’t believe there was a Mohammed, I didn’t say I haven’t studied the subject. And in these parts you are still allowed to believe what you want and no one can truly know what is unless you choose to tell them.
…..Islamophobia…..
A term brought into being by the Muslim Brotherhood. A clever bunch them, they knew full well decades ago that we were ripe for the overtaking…and have been working towards that goal since the early 50’s in North America.
Their game plan involved(s) using our own laws and sensibilities against us. The advent of Multi-Culturism, Human rights coupled with the lefts penchant for ascribing victimhood to this group or that, has fit perfectly within their overall Central plan…known as “The Project”.
The “coincidental” attack in Quebec was immediately used as a pretext for Muslim groups to demand a “National” Day of Mourning for the 6 vitims…. (Press the advantage especially when the media Is on your side right`).
So now we come to M-103. Should this pass with anything even remotely resembling a majority…..expect this to go to committee with a draft piece of legislation soon following.
We are in Dangerous Territory and I have ZERO confidence that the powers that be fully understand what it is they are about to do….it literally scares the shit outa me….and more so for my kids.
All I can say is that they can pass the vote on this BS and pass whatever law they want…but I will speak my mind and be (God)damned if some leftist ISLAM Loving Pissante is going to stop me.
Semper fi – lock n load. We are going down the same road as Europe.
Madness..
Well said! Hear, hear!
No Guff, well done.
Stupid people don’t even know that our language has foundations. This bill is trying to ban irrational fear.
pho·bi·a
ˈfōbēə/Submit
noun
an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something.
I know that everyone has control over their irratioal moments.
It says in one dictionary that, ”Islamophobia” is: ”prejudice against Muslims.”
Mirriam-Webster says: ”irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against Islam or people who practice Islam.”
A phobia is a fear, not a prejudice.
I didn’t know the government or the courts could prosecute us for being afraid.
First of all, pardon my lookism, but he is gorgeous: tall, slim, with sculpted features and wonderful hair
Barbara Kay invariably has a reasoned perspective on matters which catch her attention.
Milo has the gift of the golden tongue (so to speak) and recognizes corruption within his social culture by adherants of censure and violence – be they religious or secular.
We have to realize our Charter of Rights and Freedoms and multiculturalism is what allows some people and groups to be more equal than others and encourages them to ghettoize. It also takes power from governments and puts it into the hands of unelected judges.
Let me describe my own personal Muslim phobia.
I don’t yet truly fear getting exploded, or shot by an unhinged jihadist. But that is simply a math equation, like the one which allows me to get in a car and drive despite the statistics which suggest I might DIE driving. The actual statistics (when you look below the superficial) include; drunk drivers, inexperienced drivers, crazy risk-takers, inattentive drivers, etc. … I am none of those things, so the horror statistics simply don’t include me. For the same reason, I don’t truly fear Muslims. I don’t have a coworker who married a mail-order jihadist, I don’t dance at gay clubs, I don’t live in Europe, etc.
However, what I DO fear about Islam … as a whole … is the silence and acceptance of Terror in the name of Islam. And I am not counting so-called Christians, Like Hussein Obama, George Bush, or various Hollywood pretty people who try to reassure me that Terrorists are not TRUE Muslims. What I hear from my local Mosque is … *crickets*. This suggests acceptance of the Terror and murder in the name of spreading Islams power throughout the world. The silence is apparently mandated by their religious texts. I am left with only one logical conclusion … Terrorism against the infidel and apostate is sanctioned by their holy book.
Yes, as a matter of fact, I DO expect every single “True Muslim” on the planet to join their “peaceful” voices together in unison against their own “wayward” believers. I expect every “peaceful” Muslim to BURN DOWN every Mosque that preaches Terrorism and destruction of unbelievers. I expect Islam to police themselves, because frankly … I am growing weary of cleaning up THEIR MESS. Their mess has caused we civilized people to spend far too much of our treasure cleaning up THEIR MESS.
Until then … call me Islamophobic. I could care less, and I am willing to be jailed for that opinion if I lived in a Marxist state that restricted FREE SPEECH (like Canada).
kenji, I have been following the islamic march across the globe for two decades now and the constant encroachment on free societies and cultures should be of concern to anyone with even a tiny intellect. Islam is the problem and will continue to expand as a problem. Europe should be a lesson to all the world, but all the world is not listening. If the government of Canada wants to tell me I cannot criticize the death cult that is islam then they will have to kill me. Does anyone here think our government will go as far as killing Canadians for speaking freely?
And Rex gets it too:
