Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I had an interesting experience while watching the second funeral of the victims of the Mosque Shooting on CBC News Channel this PM.
I was watching it on CTV, then switched over to the CBC, the sound was better, and I’m a senior retired farmer; a tad hard of hearing. The speaker at the funeral’s podium was talking about peace, love of fellow man, respect etc, and I agreed with every word he said. Even during one of Canada’s most notable funerals, and given the circumstances, the CBC kept displaying their news text (Chyrons??) across the bottom of the screen. What was the number one item on the agenda? Yep! Bashing Donald Trump. It’s OK to hate an American president who doesn’t follow the CBC’s leftist expectations, but woe to those who engage in racist comments, acts of violence etc. And I do agree that we have way too much violence in our society, much like we have way to much hatred being generated by the leftist media. God bless the innocent victims of violence, and God Bless the victims of fake news.

Yes. Politics has a place and a funereal is not that place.
As always, the common ground between me and my enemies is our shared mortality.
What I cannot abide, is a person lionized upon their death with a lie characterizing them for virtues which they did not have.
Otherwise, I will be silent, and sometimes I will still be silent because voicing my view would be inpropriate.
Last but not least: Mohammadism is not a race it is an ideology and a culture, not a religion.
Did I see right? There were females in the non-Muslim audience, yet no obvious Muslim females at the funerals. Just a fast observation as I did not watch the news closely.
“God bless the innocent victims of violence, and God Bless the victims of fake news.”
The words of a genuine guy. So true about fake news, alas. A war of disinformation is totally being waged on naive citizens. I wonder of those responsible (MSM, etc and their Globalist masters have any conscience or souls?)…
George Soros highly likely behind leftist violence:
http://politopinion.com/2017/02/breaking-george-soros-funded-uc-berkeley-riots/
Beyond having a billionaire covertly promoting subversion in many countries the very troubling fact about this master Globalist is that he has links to our very own Justin Trudeau.
They met at Davos in 2015, they met reportedly in Canada as also did John McCallum…
The Trudeau agenda does not bode well for old stock Canadians. Canadians who voted for Justin are extremely naive… and manipulated big time.
Yes. Perhaps the worst thing about the fake news is the information that we do not get to know.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/quebec-city-mosque-attack-alexandre-bissonnette-1.3958559
Neighbours of Bissonnette’s parents said he was renting an apartment with his twin brother near the Centre Culturel Islamique de Québec, where the shooting took place Sunday evening.
All of the media characterize Alexandre Bissonnnette as an introvert. In fact Alexandre Bissonnette had no real friends, except that his true friend and constant companion was his identical twin brother.
Where was his brother when the shootings happened and where is his brother now in interviews to be taken following the shootings?
I will say it again: His identical twin brother(many twins are not identical but these were) was Alexandre’s constant companion and only friend so where is he now and why have we not gotten his opinion or interview?
Why do most people not even know that Alexandre has an identical twin??

Heh
Oz, I agree.
Two views on Kevin O’Leary:
From John Ivison:
http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/canadian-politics/john-ivison-anti-oleary-faction-struggles-to-mount-serious-challenge-in-tory-leadership-race
From David Solway:
https://pjmedia.com/blog/is-justin-trudeau-trumpable/
The articles speak for themselves, although Ivison’s column does not match the headline (I’m not sure that the headline writer read the article before he or she came up with up it) and Solway is a bit too negative on Canada (he’s been in a funk lately, I’ve noticed).
The timing of O’Leary’s tweet is odious, and it’s content is sure to reinforce every stereotype that downtown Toronto opinion tries to impose upon Canadian conservatives/conservatives. The Liberal ads write themselves.
More than anything else, O’Leary’s “campaign”, if you can call it that, to date has reaffirmed my support for Bernier. Mr. O’Leary’s foreign and defence policies stink, his timing on entering the leadership race stinks and this belated “I’m really a supporter of gun rights” effort stinks. All unforced errors.
I’m a very strong Trump supporter, but was agnostic originally. What sold me on the viability of his candidacy were his policy pronouncements and his adroitly appropriate, even cunning, timing. In a great many ways, it appeared to me that he had studied every previous mistake by Republican presidential candidates and designed a plan to do and say the precise opposite when the right time arrived. In this regard, I am not able to recall a single instance where Mr. Trump ever appeared with a firearm (I may be wrong that he didn’t) and his pronouncements of his support for the Second Amendment were far stronger as a result, in my view (and I support more permissive firearms rights).
Has O’Leary even thought about what he’s doing?
Does it not seem a bit off that the mosque victims would be draped in foreign flags?
If these people were serious about becoming Canadians one would think that the victims would at least be draped in the Pearson flag.
Of course the LSM spins it as something great.

Ontario’s health minister is offering surgeries to children affected by President Trump’s travel ban.
http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/canada/toronto/ontario-surgeries-travel-ban-1.3966380
Healthcare for foreigners is NOT the taxpayer’s responsibility. This will cause a division where one side calls the other side greedy and selfish. These surgeries should be done on a charitable system where those that support the idea pay for the idea. Keeping in mind the family will likely come with the child. Sending the family back to a dangerous area after the surgery will motivate many lawyers to start throwing the race card. Suddenly the entire family becomes the responsibility of the taxpayer free housing, food and dental…
Children’s surgery becomes a strawman argument for a much bigger financial responsibility.

In 1927 Leon Trotsky coined the term “racist” to brow beat those who opposed communism. Shouting the word racist repeatedly at someone silences their logical arguments and makes them defend themselves against something “made up”. Islam is more political ideology than religion (google “funny fatwas”). Therefore it is not wrong to be called racist for opposing someone’s political ideology. In the 1927 sense of the word.
It has since been culturally appropriated to use in race related disputes. But is used in the same manner, to silence the other side when you have run out of logical arguments.

This Hitler Nonsense
“I am not an expert on Hitler. But my father is.
He toured post-war Germany extensively in 1957 and ’58 as a child performer. And he often recounts the stories. He befriended teenage Lebensborn children (if you don’t know what Lebensborn children are …well …before you post anymore about Hitler you should read about them). He visited an SS widow and got a peek at her husband’s uniform and Luger (that he’d committed suicide with), she had stored in an old trunk, in the attic.
These and other intense experiences in Germany sent my father on a life-long quest to understand this sociopath (Hitler) and the country that allowed itself to be dragged into one of the darkest chapters in world history.”

The claim that Alexandre did not have friends is not correct. We have heard from two — one met him at a pub last Thursday. The “loner” profile is used to push the narrative, but the narrative in this case is not convincing. Still, yes, it would be good to hear also from the twin. I continue to think something is being covered up.
Isn’t all religion ideology? Philosophy?
Christianity may have evolved somewhat from it’s origins but it isn’t far removed. It’s history is riddled with bloodshed.
All religions have rules that dictate how you run your life. These rules extend to how you conduct yourself, vote, interact with others. Christians differ little from the followers of other religions in this regard.
“Christians differ little from the followers of other religions in this regard.”
Bullshit. Christians follow Christ. Find me some of Christ’s quotes that are riddled with bloodshed. Asshole!

Letter to Premier Wynne From The O’Leary For Canada Campaign Trail
Hi Premier Wynne,
I kicked off my campaign to become Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada a couple of weeks ago, and have been traveling the country meeting with Canadians. I have to bring on a lot of new members if I am going to win this thing and defeat your buddy Justin Trudeau in 2019.
I recently did some events in Ottawa, and I’m pleased to say that the meeting hall was packed — young people came out by the hundreds. It seems they are getting a little antsy about the fact that Ontario’s economy is grinding to a halt. (These pesky kids, the next thing you know, they’re all going to want jobs!) I know you are not spending any time worrying about them. You’re too busy dreaming up new taxes in Ontario, buying carbon credits from California and wasting our money on foreign “green tech” deals, that go nowhere.
At my last meeting, the craziest thing happened. I was about to start my Q&A when a farmer raised his and hand to give me a folded piece of paper.
I was blown away; it was his hydro bill for $71,618.58!
A real hydro bill from a farmer in Ontario
These hydro bills you send out are so complicated nobody can figure out what’s going on. But I guess that’s your strategy — you do a great job of hiding your mistakes with language. You signed 20 and 30 year green contracts for wind and solar farms and agreed to purchase electricity at 80 cents per kilowatt hour when everybody else pays 2.3 cents per kilowatt hour. I love the way you call it a “Global Adjustment Fee” as if it’s out of your control.
On this poor farmer’s bill, this fee was buried with all the other taxes, delivery charges, regulatory charges, debt retirement and HST charges. You know I’m a numbers guy, so I went to work on this right away. Basically, he used $5,177.31 worth of electricity. The other $66,441.27 amounted from all your charges and taxes with fancy names that you make him pay to cover up for your uneconomic wind and solar contracts. Add this to the new carbon tax scheme that you and Justin Trudeau have forced on voters and you are killing his business. This is his livelihood at stake, have you no shame?
But wait, there is more.
He found out that you recently sold 22.6 billion kilowatt hours of electricity to farmers and their neighbours in New York and Michigan. People in those states are not stupid, they are not willing to pay for your mistakes. They buy electricity at the market rate of 2.3 cents while you make our Ontario farmers and residents pay 40 times more.
Don’t you see anything wrong with that?
Anyway, not to be ungrateful for your leadership and business acumen, but here is what I’m going to do for you. You know how NHL winners take the Stanley Cup around the country and let people take pictures with it?
I’m going to make this Ontario farmer’s hydro bill your Stanley Cup. It is the symbol of your great leadership.
Over the next few months, I will be meeting with thousands of Ontario taxpayers in small and big towns alike. I’ll bring this bill with me. I will explain every line item to them. Time to clear up the hydro bill confusion, don’t you agree? From what the voters are telling me, Ontarians want the cold, hard, truth. I’m going to give it to them.
Meeting with hundreds of Conservatives in Ottawa.
Oh, one last thing: as a seasoned politician, I’m sure you know how expensive these road trips are. Given all the taxes I have paid to you over the years it would be wonderful if you could return the favor and contribute to my campaign. It’s easy to donate, just fill in the form. You can contribute up to $1,550.00 and the good news is that you get a tax deduction. No need to thank me! And come to think of it, please pass the link on to those Ministers in your cabinet who have also been sending me letters. I’m sure they want to help with my campaign too.
As for the farmer and everyone else in the room who saw his hydro bill? They won’t be voting for you or Justin Trudeau.
They have joined my team, because together, they know we can do better.
Speak soon.
Sincerely,
Kevin O’Leary
Candidate for Leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada, Ontario taxpayer, and your boss until the next election.
Brilliant. What I like about O’Leary is that he will expose Trudeau for the complete fool he is.

“Quebec, like the entire West, is facing an existential demographic and religious crisis.
Quebec’s death spiral is explicitly linked with the calls for increased immigration. Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who put an end to the military campaign against the Islamic State, just called on Muslim migrants to come to his country.
Resistance to Quebec’s dramatic collapse of Christianity does not necessarily require a new embrace of an old Catholicism, but it certainly does need a sane rediscovery of what a Western democracy should be. That includes an appreciation of Western identity and Judeo-Christian values — everything Trudeau’s government and much of Europe apparently refuse to accept.”

agreed. ooooooh boy agreed. true, bedrock Christianity has NOTHING to do with the European religious catholic-protestant wars of the middle ages all the way up to modern day Ireland.
anybody disagree, go back to the ORIGINAL documents a.k.a. bible, and not one of those bastardized modern versions.

its appalling how far removed the ‘right wing Christian fundamentalists’ have departed from the original message.
I have on a number of occasions, seen into the future. those instantaneous visions, feelings and hunches both personal and the big picture that wind up spot on. not always good things either. I attribute them to communications from the Almighty meant to warn and prepare me for what’s to come. And guess what dear reader, I have not a whit of interest in debating the point, except to point out I NEVER force anyone to believing same or act on same. I do however at times point out the accuracy of my predictions and many many times wait for some confirmation these visions are what they appear.
we are headed for a very, very dangerous time. the biological, military, political, economic, social forces are creating a perfect storm. p.s. are you holding lots of stock in this 20 THOUSAND index time? get the fcuk out now, wait for the ‘adjustment’ then feel free to buy back your holdings and more when the prices bottom out.

Scar:
Religion is philosophy no? That was my point.
I realize there are different viewpoints when it comes to what the Bible is saying. Guess that accounts for the 100’s of Christian sects that are out there all claiming to be the true religion.
Muslims believe the Quran is the word of god. If it is why can’t they agree on one interpretation? Some kill others over what they think it means. Christians did the same for centuries.
And another thing Scar. Tone it done. Sure we disagree so what. I rather doubt you’d call me asshole to my face. Have a nice day.
@historybuff: “…crowdfund for me sose I can fly to Washington and smack Trump upside the head over his morning ‘prayers’? yo, Don baby, this applies to you. google the part about forgiving those that hurt you and loving your enemies. then on you way back to the present, stop in at the Constitution, the part about SEPARATION of church and state.”
Historybuff, if Donald Trump has asked God’s forgiveness and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour, he’s doing it on the run. He hasn’t had the opportunity you and I had as he doesn’t have the time to go to an adult Sunday school class and a mid-week Bible study to grow in his faith. There you’re going to have to give him some slack because I’m pretty sure Jesus is. He knows Trump’s heart, not you.
And about that SEPARATION of church and state thing: As a history buff you know perfectly well that isn’t what it says. There is to be no state church as in the Old Country (in England the Anglican church) nor any of the other state churches. The founding fathers prayed daily, read their Bibles, attended church regularly, took part in their own particular denomination, and so on. (I have ancestors who came on the first voyage of Mayflower and on ships that arrived shortly afterward and have read a great number of the New England records and, of course, one can read the Constitution for oneself.)
