  1. Bought It thirdy years ago for twenty years . At our down sizing garage sale no one would buy for any price. I could see they had lost their mandate. Went in the garbage.

  2. First just look at the photo. Let us for the sake of argument say this is a nine year old biological female child of nine. Who the hell let her out of the house looking like that? Also who is the pervert that had her pose in such a provocative manner? Now wrap your mind around the fact that this is a biological male child. There are all kinds of parental cruelty out there. This is a child being used to satisfy the need for attention of at least one adult but probably two. Shame on the adults not related to this child that have also used him to get attention and climb the charts of the pc wraped world.”

  3. Just to confirm what you have stated, this is from the msn article:
Avery’s mother, Debi Jackson, 42, said her child went from being a “happy, outgoing 2-year-old boy to becoming sullen and depressed” between the ages of 3 and 4. Avery became angry and withdrawn and hated going to preschool, Jackson said. “She started talking about death a lot.”
When Avery dressed up in a princess dress, the darkness lifted, said Jackson who also has a son Anson, 11, with husband Tom, 41. The couple thought their child was a gay boy and “it would be OK.”
One day when they were walking through Target on a holiday shopping trip, Jackson said Avery turned to her and said: “You call me a boy, you think I’m a boy, but you know I’m a girl on the inside, right?”

  4. Fully agree Margaret. Child abuse. Loony parents. Furthermore, 9 years old is pre-puberty, much too young to decide on adult gender.
Yes Kate, but a bet on suicide is harsh…. that is what you meant isn’t it?

  5. Yes Virginia liberals really are that stupid, they actually need the toilet paper with instructions.

  6. go to a Scandinavian country, and just about all the “not wimin” are not actual men, real men are scarce over there. Nat. Geo. could have a field day over there.

  7. I suspect that National Geographic is getting desperate for attention with this article.
Its much-hyped Mars mini-series appears to be an attempt at dramatic television but it’s a dreadful mess. It can’t make up its mind whether to be a drama or a documentary, neither component of which isn’t particularly well-made.
So now it goes into “edgy” material in an attempt to remain relevant. Maybe it thinks its days are numbered.

  8. Meh. Live and let live.
When did SDA become so judgmental about how others choose to go about their lives?

  9. If you can stomach it read the natgeo twitter link and some of the freaks defending the mental illness the natgeo is pushing. Can we please bring back the mental institutions, there is a population ready to fill them.

  10. Pfft, hey Eli, they don’t let live and let live. Everything is war to them. So if you at war with a group because they won’t lay off then you have to win to force them to stop.

  11. Many of those people claim that that the procedure is a “medical necessity”. That’s their privilege, I suppose. Perhaps that belief is one of the symptoms of their condition.
Worse, though, is that many of them demand that government and private insurance plans pay for it. I, for one, don’t want my tax money or my premiums going to finance this malarkey. Why should their “renovations” be paid for by people like me when my insurance won’t cover essential things such as my glasses or dental crowns?

  12. Previewing might help sometimes (slaps head). That last paragraph should have been:

  13. Eli, yes I am judgmental. It is a child and this is abuse. Nothing new under the sun. Children have always been abused and will always be abused. That doesn’t make it right and it is not meh. It is abuse. If this person was left alone to be a child and then as an adult said my name is Catalin fine, meh and they could use the same bathroom I use as long as there aren’t any children in it and I don’t have to pay for your boobs or anything else.

  14. Eli – it’s not “live and let live”. It’s very much how a couple – for whatever reasons – have totally indoctrinated their son. For most parents, a kid wants to dress as the opposite sex,it’s very much “okay, whatever, have fun with your make-belief” with the unspoken proviso that said kid is still what his/her genes declare he/she is. These parents seem to have gone full out on “you say you’re a girl, of course you are” regardless of genetic reality or the common-sense realization that children fantasize. You also see it in parents who take one look a a girl who is athletic and prefers pants and cropped hair and go “trans-gender”, without acknowledging the wide spectrum of behaviours a girl can have, including that of “tomboy”.

  15. “When did SDA become so judgmental about how others choose to go about their lives?”
So now, in your opinion, it’s not proper to say anything about mental illness? I really don’t care … I estimate in the next 7 years suicide for it.
BTW: I really don’t care – people like you are the enablers for this mental illness … their suicides are on your hands.

  16. Now that you mention it, what’s the dead pool over-under on National Geographic?

  17. Child abuse. Period. By this poor kids parents. By whatever Dr. or Psychologist has played-along. And by a formerly respectable Journal of science that has sold out to the FAKE science of Global Warmism and Gender dysmorphia.
CPS needs to remove this kid from his toxic surroundings … immediately!

  18. Who is they’
The ‘they’ are the parents specifically and society generally who decide that a 4 year old is old enough to decide that he is a girl with boy’s equipment and the ‘they’ are adults who allow a 9 year old boy to sexualize himself as that so-called girl.
And if you see nothing wrong with what ‘they’ are doing here then we truly have become a society of harmless eunuchs with nothing much to say about anything.

  19. Remember how everybody freaked out when Rupert Murdoch bought national geographic?
Apparently they had nothing to worry about after all!

  20. “Eli – it’s not “live and let live”. It’s very much how a couple – for whatever reasons – have totally indoctrinated their son.”
Precisely — a couple and THEIR kid. What business is it of yours how they choose to raise his/her?

  21. This is the product of generations of psychology degrees handed out like confetti in useless Liberalized universities around our nations.
Deadpool? I won’t stoop to betting on this kids suicide, I am instead quite optimistic that he/ she will grow up to be one of the worlds greatest serial killers, like Jeffy Dahmer but with a Luka Magnotta twist.

  22. “I, for one, don’t want my tax money or my premiums going to finance this malarkey. Why should their “renovations” be paid for by people like me when my insurance won’t cover essential things such as my glasses or dental crowns?”
So change your private insurance provider.

  23. Eli said…So change your private insurance provider.
Name me ONE “private insurance”, or one state or government provider, who does not do what B Deplorable states. Just one. Now back under your bridge, troll.

  24. Patrick, I don’t think there is enough money in the country to build all that would be necessary.

  25. Guessing the wild animals traditionally covered by National Geographic were just too normal, too boring to to bolster sales. Not enough freaks of nature to make up stories about.

  26. The problem here is that Nat geo is doing what all propaganda is meant to do.
    Form opinion rather than inform.
In this case its the ongoing efforts by the perverse and the incompetent to normalize sexual behaviour that should result in charges of child sexual abuse.

  27. WHS: “82.2 yrs, despite your best efforts.” Even if you’re talking dog years, I take your bet. What shall we put up for this bet?

  28. Name me ONE “private insurance”, or one state or government provider, who does not do what B Deplorable states. Just one. Now back under your bridge, troll.
A lot of people don’t have a choice in who provides their medical insurance. Government plans are mandatory–everybody has to pay for it. As for extended coverage, many employers select which service the workers get, which, in turn, means what is covered.
At the place where I used to teach, the extended medical coverage included things like massage therapy (which most people there didn’t need), but good luck in getting it to pay for glasses.
Many private insurance companies cover outlandish procedures simply because if they didn’t, their competitors would, and those firms don’t want to lose business.

  29. Eli Eli Eli, WE, society wind up picking up the “tab” in the future for this parental failure. Not just for this type of “failure”, but for any and all failures. Try going to a mental institute some day, go to homeless shelters, talk to societies down and outers, and eventually a dimwit like you may get it. Lefties scream if you smack a kid, but then stand by and let this type of much more damaging shit happen. Actually you encourage it.

  30. Real world statistics hardly support your conclusion. But I suppose that is all part of the fantasy.

  31. “live and let live…a couple and THEIR kid. What business is it of yours how they choose to raise him/her?
Eli, this couple deliberately chose to have their 9 year old boy dressed up and posed like a teen-aged girl on the cover of a national magazine. Now you scold people for not treating it as if it were a private matter.
“Live and let live” is a fine motto where no harm is being done to anyone, but that’s not the case here where a young child’s sexuality is being messed with; especially since the parents have exposed this publicly for all to see.

  32. I’m wondering if the librarian demographic that buys National Geographic is in favour of child abuse that neuters male children. I have subscribed to NG. I’ll never make that mistake again.

  33. “Precisely — a couple and THEIR kid. What business is it of yours how they choose to raise his/her?”
So Eli. If you see a baby locked in a car in the blazing heat of summer, do you break the window and call the cops? Or do you say “none of my business” and walk on?
The difference between this Nat Geo case and the baby is that the baby is 99% likely to be an accident. Mom had a Senior Moment and left the kid in the car by accident. The trans kid is not.
What’s the going rate on trans suicide these days, 10x the normal rate? It is stunningly high. Much too high to be screwing around virtue signaling and using kids for propaganda.
So yeah, Eli. I’m kinda judgmental about that kind of thing. I’m very not sorry if that offends your delicate rose-scented sensibilities.

  34. The MSM has been pushing this nonsense when children display it, particularly in the last few years. I think it started when some kid in the U. S. decided to commit suicide by walking in front of a truck on a busy highway. The reason he decided to kill himself was because his parents refused to let him be a girl which he, of course, thought he was.
The left went ape about the incident, as expected. One progressive even called for the parents to be jailed for child abuse for not letting their son engage in his fantasy.

  35. I think back to the time of my youth. Peers were the biggest determiner of behavior. If you acted like a weirdo, corrective measures were taken. Every hatch of chicks pecks to death any one with a dark spot. It is instinct not choice. How is a society supposed to protect the fruity children when they choose to wear the dark spot? Their brutal peers may be limited in their conscious choices. Protecting the species may well be an over-riding imperative stronger than fruitism itself.

  36. “What’s the going rate on trans suicide these days, 10x the normal rate? It is stunningly high. Much too high to be screwing around virtue signaling and using kids for propaganda.”
The elevated suicide rates observed among trans youth and adults are attributable not to being trans per se, but to being the target of discrimination, harassment, and parental and social rejection:

Attitudes like those espoused by Kate on Twitter and yourself and others here on SDA are the problem.

  37. The elevated suicide rates observed among trans youth and adults are attributable not to being trans per se, but to being the target of discrimination, harassment, and parental and social rejection:
Subjective opinion…in other words, made up.

  38. One major clinic stopped doing those procedures many years ago. The reason it cited was that there was a significant number of those who went all the way who weren’t any better off mentally than they were before.
Changing sides, so to speak, didn’t fix whatever was bothering them before they started.
