  1. There was a priceless discussion today on the Fox show Outnumbered about Prime Minister Man Bun’s comments on the passing of Fidel Castro. youtube.com/watch?v=HTB8_a3K6hI Start watching at 33:00. It really gets good at 34:00.

  2. I watched that segment and I think they got it right. One thing that was missing from their discussion was just how closely associated Dirty Pierre was with Castro. Now that would have made for an interesting commentary!

  3. Quiz of The Day:
What do Black Lives Matter, Iran, Hamas, North Korea, Venezuela and Canada have in common?

  4. Pretty much however all these countries + Hamas all officially expressed either “sorrow” and/or “grief” following the passing of “El Comandante”.
I am surprised that our PM Selfie will not fly the Cuban flag at Parliament…

  5. How quickly the media goes silent after a major gaffe by our “Camp Counselor” Prime Minister. He gets an A+ for vacuity, there isn’t another PM in our history to top him on that score.

  6. Alberta’s deficit to reach $10.8 billion this year. Government calmly claims it is “on-track”.
Corporate income tax collected falls to $3.4 billion.
Borrowing for capital projects increases to $4.7 billion.
Operating expense borrowing increases by $6.4 billion.
The increase in borrowing for 2016-2017 is triple the corporate income tax collected.
Trudeau campaigned on a $10 billion deficit for the entire country and Notley beat him by $800 million for one province. Of course, not to be outdone…

  7. Just heard on radio that the the Notley Dictator Party (NDP) of Alberta wants to introduce a “consumption tax” in Alberta (or Provincial Sales Tax) to replace Alberta Income Tax … They already have one – it is called: “The Notley Dictator Party (NDP) of Alberta Carbon Tax.” … Short version: “Notley Dictator Party” (NDP) Carbon Tax”
IF the Notley Dictator Party (NDP) were serious, they would drop Alberta Income Tax on Albertans to Zero and pay the amount lost through the Notley Dictator Party (NDP) Carbon Tax.
They should pay farmers, ranchers and Acreage owners the equivalent amount of reduction on the Notley Dictator Party (NDP)Carbon Tax because of the “carbon” absorption/carbon sink.
The NDP would love to add a Provincial tax, thereby taxing Alberta three times on the same item/income – of course the Teachers/Alberta Union of Public Employees (AUPE) will get an increase to pay for the taxes. (Just watch how the Unions will get paid more just before the next provincial election – or buying the Union vote.) Not one Union Job has been lost since the Notley Dictator Party (NDP)was voted in – yet membership has increased.
It is like the LIEberals, under tRUDEau, who want to impose a Carbon Tax called the “LIEberal Carbon Tax” – which they will impose upon Saskatchewan, like the Grits Support Tories Tax (GST) was imposed by the Con’s on Alberta.
SIDE NOTE: I see Trump has asked Dr. Tim Ball to speak to the new Trump Team about Global Warming/climate Change … hopefully they will take into consideration his presentation. Trump should also talk to somebody from Australia government about the failure of their “carbon tax.”
    Captcha still doesn’t work …

  8. Stay Alert, America: The Worst Is Yet to Come

“Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” — Philosopher George Santayana
    Stay alert, America.
This is not the time to drop our guards, even for a moment.
Nothing has changed since the election to alter the immediate and very real dangers of roadside strip searches, government surveillance, biometric databases, citizens being treated like terrorists, imprisonments for criticizing the government, national ID cards, SWAT team raids, censorship, forcible blood draws and DNA extractions, private prisons, weaponized drones, red light cameras, tasers, active shooter drills, police misconduct and government corruption.
Time alone will tell whether those who put their hopes in a political savior will find that trust rewarded or betrayed.
Personally, I’m not holding my breath.

  9. A little too long for my time budget …. I watched half. Early on he admits that he will be found “guilty”, though I’m a little unclear as to what he is guilty of ….. politically incorrect speech I suppose covers it.
In any case, he WILL be found guilty is my assumption. The Netherlands is too far down the moslem immigrant road to go back or even to admit they went about it in the wrong way. Sad. Assimilation of Moslems into western culture is not possible but can not be admitted. What a conundrum for the left.

  10. Hey Clown Party…
You mean the Carbon Unethical Notley Tax?! That one? ☺☺
    Just funnin’
” I see Trump has asked Dr. Tim Ball to speak to the new Trump Team ” On wow! Tim’s moment has arrived and his efforts paying off. He’s a good man.

  11. CP, do you have a reference for the Ball/Trump meeting? Thanks. I can’t find a thing. Surprised Trump would use a Canuck vs John Christy, Judith Curry, Soon, Lindzen etc.

  12. The free world is shuffling into a psychological bondage whose chains are mostly of our own making. The Saskatoon Star-Phoenix, you’ll recall, published an advertisement directing readers to Romans 1:26, Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13, and I Corinthians 6:9, and was fined $4,500, as was the advertiser, for “exposing homosexuals to hatred or ridicule”.* The British “historian” David Irving sits in an Austrian jail, having been convicted of Holocaust denial. It’s not unreasonable for Muslims to conclude that, if gays and Jews are to be protected groups who can’t be offended, why shouldn’t they be also?
They have a point. How many roads of inquiry are we prepared to block off in order to be “sensitive”? And, once we’ve done so, will there be anything left to talk about other than showbiz gossip? Holocaust denial should be ridiculous and contemptible but not illegal. If the objection is that it’s a uniquely terrible stain on humanity, that’s all the more reason to talk about it openly. How did we end up in a world where David Irving sits in a cell for querying the numbers of the last Holocaust while men march through London streets promising a new Holocaust and are given a bodyguard of police officers to help them do so?

  15. As if there aren’t enough reasons to despair for this country, I have more.
I had a dental appointment earlier today and I overheard the assistant saying how she had to explain to her children about Trump. Apparently, her oldest one (who’s 11) couldn’t figure out how someone like Melania Trump could have such bad taste in men.
Yesterday, I was waiting in line and I chatted with some of the people in order to pass the time. It turned out that none of them had a good word to say about Harper, either. I admit I wasn’t crazy about him, either, but I still voted for him because I thought he was better for Canada than Potato Head Man Bun.
So there you have it, folks. In order to win an election in this country, one has to be seen as warm and fuzzy or cute and cuddly. Policy? What policy?

  16. As well, that dental assistant didn’t have a good word to say about Trump. She referred to him in just about every derogatory term you can think of (e. g., racist, bigoted, etc.).

“The ‘Canadian model’: why Ceta isn’t a blueprint for Brexit”
“Some tweaks put the bulk of the trade deal back on track, but there is still the possibility that the investor resolution scheme could be blocked before it is voted on in Europe and campaigners were organising protest demonstrations in London again on Tuesday.”

  18. I have had many people make comments about Trump’s alleged racism, misogyny, homophobia, etc. etc. etc. I calmly challenge them with facts and examples and invite them to do the same. Inevitably they fail to do so and most admit that maybe they were misled. It may be a coincidence but these ignorant folks invariably get their news from the CBC and nothing but the CBC. I then offer my opinion on the CBC and suggest that they broaden their news base somewhat.

  19. Exactly…. I challenge them to provide actual statements from Trump to support their bigotry. Also question them on why they are so abusively intolerant of anyone who doesn’t agree with their beliefs. Then remind them of how they like to portray themselves as tolerant, and that hateful intolerance is not OK, even when someone justifies it by labeling the object of their hate as racist, misogynist, or whatever-phobic. The leftists should be called on it when they try to flog that BS.

  20. In addition, both the dental student who was working on my teeth and the aforementioned assistant were whining about how come Trump could win the election when the Hildabeast had the popular vote.
There you have two examples of the dim-witted voters in this and other countries. The American system is determined by the Electoral College, the institution now widely loathed and reviled by the left. Here in Canada, it’s “first past the post”. Both systems served their respective countries well for many years. Those two people clearly didn’t understand that.
If the popular vote is now supposed to be the deciding factor in winning elections, would those same lefties have accepted the results if Harper had won last year? Probably not.

  21. When my dental hygienist mentioned Trump to me (which she shouldn’t have done), I didn’t try to educate her. I told her I had watched a few of Trump’s rallies and found that I had a lot in common with the people who were supporting him, that they were my kind of people and nothing in common with the people supporting Hillary. That stopped her.

  22. B. Deplorable:
Perhaps you should have done what some have with certain ‘artists’: “shut up and sing” or “shut up and do the job I’m paying you to do”.
