Not only did the media get almost everything about this presidential election wrong, but it became the central issue, or the stand-in for all those issues, that the great new American Trump Party voted against.
It all washed away. Beyonce. The tax returns. The theoretical blue wall. Trump as sexual predator. Putin. His shambolic debate performances. Hispanics. Indeed, every aspect of the media narrative, dust. This narrative not only did not diminish him, it fortified him. The criticism of Trump defined the people who were criticizing him, reliably giving the counter-puncher something to punch. It was a juicy target. The Media Party not only fashioned the takedown narrative and demanded a special sort of allegiance to it — Twitter serving as the orthodoxy echo chamber — but, suspending most ordinary conflict rules, according to the Center for Public Integrity, gave lots of cash to Hillary. The media turned itself into the opposition and, accordingly, was voted down.
And the media and the Liberal government are still hard at work in brainwashing the next generation. Goebbels and Hitler would be so proud.

The Networks were lost at 3 am in the morning.. They seemed to be looking for a “Divine Intervention”..a LBJ moment when 6 million votes are found in Florida, or PA, or WI, or ???? Nobody was willing to call the Election for Trump, even though the AP & the NYT (print) had.. It was Meghan Kelly on FOX who kept asking WHY! The BUSH folks all said Trump should wait until morning after Hillary was a NO Show… Nope! Trump was going to address his people, and then Hillary Conceded… All the Broadcast media calls happened at the same time, loyal to Hillary to the bitter end…

I’ve said elsewhere, Trump’s genius this year and last is that he didn’t run against Hillary, and in the primaries he didn’t run against his opponents there. He ran against the media. He ran against the stupid SOBs that are rioting today. He ran against the college wieners who create “safe spaces” and speech codes.

When I watched the 11 o’clock news on CTV (my only station) they wouldn’t give the totals from states leading in, only declared states. What was that all about? I went to bed only knowing Trump was ahead, not that he crushed the hag.
Read this in a comment by a newsman: Right up to 9 p.m., Hillary thought she was winning the election. Because of the media coverage, she had no idea that Trump had a good chance of winning. Don’t wonder why she didn’t show up till later: she most likely had to be resuscitated. He said the media was totally responsible for her being unprepared to lose. Amazing how many are having their Damascus Road experience. But, I cannot bring myself to watch CNN and CBC to watch them squirm; they’re disgusting and unredeemable.
My son was watching CBC,this morning there was woman on that said there is a “pandemic of depression” over the Trump win,and a drastic shortage of psychiatrists and psychologists to help them deal with their crisis.
I suggest we bring them all up here to Vancouver,and introduce them to Insite,which could cure their angst right smartly.
Like most of you I thoroughly enjoyed myself, switching channels trying to find the most deflated talking head. BBC, NBC, CNN it was truly a beer and popcorn night, it even surpassed the BBC on Brexit.

I watched several channels for coverage, CNN had the most readable board and Fox was also understandable.
For amusement CBC couldn’t be beat. Mansbridge was reduced to croaking, “what is going on here”. The outrageous Black American woman was actually screeching Trump was attempting a coup of sorts by addressing the people. He was simply waiting for the networks to declare it over and as always, for the winer to give his victory speech.
As to why they couldn’t see the upset coming, they never tuned into to alternate net sources, like here. There was one poll (La Times) that consistently predicted a Trump win, so what did CBC do? They had Grenier do an analysis of why it was inaccurate and obviously an out lier. Even CBC’s commentary on the unprecedented upset was incorrect, 1980 showed similar results. Reagan defeated Carter handily and the whole thing was over by 9:00 PM. A story pointing this out was up at Drudge by a respected columnist, but CBC doesn’t do Drudge either. Media will have some time recovering any credibility.

It’s interesting and rather disturbing to look at the state by state votes in more detail. Let’s say that McMullin had been placed on the ballot in more key states (he actually prevented Trump from taking Minnesota if you accept that all his votes would instead go to Trump). He might have derailed Trump in MI, PA, NC, and FL, all states where he was not on the ballot.
You might say, well he only got 1-2 per cent in most states, just cracked 5% in Idaho and 21% in his base, Utah. True, but that 1-2 per cent would have made it a Clinton electoral college win (shudder).
My guess is that Romney, the puppetmaster behind McMullin, was hoping to play this out so that McMullin might win Utah and the election would have been deadlocked in the electoral college something like 2 votes short of a majority on either side. Then his puppet could have been nominated from the floor of the House in January. This master plan almost worked but they failed to place the puppet in the right states.
Also rather disconcerting, without Gary Johnson attracting so many pothead votes that I suspect might have gone to Clinton, there again Trump could have lost with the usual weak Libertarian outcome (they averaged 3.2% nationwide and scored as high as ten per cent in NM). Only small numbers of the Libertarian vote were needed in MI, FL and PA to change the results of this election.
My analysis of the Green Party 1.0% segment was that it did not derail Clinton. I saw signs that Greens might have deflected to Clinton in battleground states like PA. Only MI and WI could have gone to Clinton in a mass desertion of Greens. That would have made the result very close (279-249) but still decisive enough. But at the outside it could have swung PA (20 EC votes).
The American people really dodged a bullet in this election. I honestly believe that Hillary Clinton would be considerably more dangerous than even the Poseur in Chief Obama. The late campaign talk about her possibly starting a war with Russia is not that far-fetched in my view. And with her health being dubious, that opens up the prospect of a President Kaine to follow, not a good thing.

One of the best parts of Donald Trump’s election victory is watching all the nutty left-wing liberals absolutely lose their minds over their huge and historic loss, as it finally dawns on them Americans rejected both big government and the criminal cronyism represented by Hillary Clinton.
While many of these responses have been pleasant to watch, none will satisfy the soul quite like MSNBC’s Rachel(Madcow)Maddow’s , She had a total meltdown during MSNBC’s coverage of the election.

One other highlight of CBC coverage I noted but couldn’t watch. about 2:30 when it was pretty clear who was going to win. To fill time they actually played some tapes of Trump and the video Democrats hoped would destroy him. Also featured were reruns of the debate and the sexist issue with Trump and the tapes. Just unbelievable how unhinged they became as the night wore on. A profound embarrassment, but only their own followers would be tuned in, so no complaints I have heard of.
There are probably more than one JWB, and I’m sure Trump has security capable of dealing with that level of threat. A sniper is a bit harder to protect against. Given the left’s fondness for Che as a folk hero, the media and Clinton’s Cronies would probably like a revolution. Good thing the average left-wing snowflake hasn’t the guts for it.
No one in Canada will ever pick a hill to die on; winning another election is always more important. There is no principle that will not be sacrificed for the smallest chance to win an election. There is no betrayal of the base great enough to risk losing an election. All that matters is winning; that is why I stopped donating to any and all politicians.
If there is, he or she will be in the Sectret Service, and it will be a Lois Lerner style Alinskite “make your enemies pay” thing. It is getting to the point where being a registered Democrat needs to be summary execution. If you took Democrat dark money; summary execution. If you donated to the Democrats; summary execution.
