  1. Remember that their counterparts here in Canada told conservatives to suck it up when Potato Head won. Now that there was an election that didn’t go their way, it’s the end of the world for them.

  2. Back to plastic bags. The argument that they litter the countryside is absurd with one huge exception: Indian reserves!
When I drive from Lethbridge through Cardston on my way fishing, I go through a few km of the Blood Reserve.
The place is a goddamn disgrace for a people who claim to be the “first environmentalists”!! Roadside fences and scrub brush littered with plastic everything! Disgusting.
People who actually care about the environment used plastic bags the way they were intended: schlepp the groceries home and then use them as garbage bags.

Trump’s “zinger” replies to Saudi prince more proof “America made the right choice”
    “And what’s my point?
Who would you rather have as America’s commander in chief?
Someone like Trump who slaps down any uppity prince with zingers?
Or the oily Clintons, who saw any foreign leader as a source for cash, and preferred to take tens of millions of dollars from foreigners behind closed doors?”

“Good Morning Mrs. President! In Brandenburg hat Clinton die Wahl gewonnen”
“Brandenburg hat ja seinen Ruf weg. Das könnte sich mit dem heutigen Tag geändert haben. Denn dort hat Clinton die US-Wahl gewonnen. Zumindest wenn man nur die Oberseite betrachtet. Denn in Wirklichkeit handelt es sich bei der Märkische Allgemeine von heute um ein Doppelcover. Man muss ja für alles gerüstet sein:”

  5. Same at Morley west of Calgary.
Earlier this year coming back from skiing, there was an accident just west of Morley, took a detour south of hwy 1.
The scenery was uniformly and thickly decorated with plastic bags on the trees, the shrubs, the grass, the rocks.
As Carlin might have said the nature repurposed the Natives garbage for decorative purposes. As though the place was a dump decorated with garbage.

  6. I was impressed with all of those candidates in the debate last night. All of them seemed to have leadership qualities and a good understanding of the issues.By contrast, Trudeau is a flake. My favorites are Bernie, Sherer (good communicator)and Alexander. I also like Kellue Leatch, but the media will distort her message.

“The Latest: Trump blocks journalists from travelling with him”
“President-elect Donald Trump has refused to let journalists travel with him to cover his first meeting with President Barack Obama.
The move broke from protocol intended to ensure that the public has a watchful eye on the nation’s leader.
Trump flew from New York to Washington on his private jet without the so-called “pool” of reporters, photographers and television cameras that travel with presidents and presidents-elect.
Trump’s meeting with Obama on Thursday was due to be reported by the pool of White House journalists who cover the president.
News organizations had tried for weeks to co-ordinate a pool of journalists who could travel with Trump immediately after Election Day if he won the election. But his campaign did not co-operate and his senior advisers refused Wednesday to discuss any such arrangements.”

  9. When I lived in Saskatoon in the early 1980s, we used to call the SP was the Star Kleenex or the Star Phoney. Do people still use those nicknames for it nowadays?

  10. Very little detergent actually. Intelligent people simply add the shopping bags to the wash load for kitchen towels and other household items.

  11. Comment with links held in filter.
So for all the hand wringing from the experts about how the market would crash with a Trump election, DOW jones hits a new high.
And Nasdaq is also up, hitting record highs.
Facebook, Twitter, and Google are down.
    It’s probably nothing.
Note: Links were just a google search of ” price”

  13. The libtard press are surprisingly silent over a rich white guy making a black family move out of their taxpayer subsidized house.

  14. I agree with your line up, although I put Kellie near the front. I missed some of the debate, particularly when they gave their views on carbon taxes and climate change. I did get an email from Chong’s office lately and he is a climate change believer and thinks there should be a neutral tax.

  15. I do not know, as I have not heard those terms. The opinion in the paper is definitely left leaning, although John Gormley does have a regular column.

  16. This is from Gerard Vanderleun, at americandigest.com:
    AMERICAN DIGEST NEWS SERVICE
    DATELINE: OTTOWA, November 9, 2016
The Canadian Prime Minister today ordered all 215 members of Canada’s armed forces to the porous southern border to stem the tide of tens of millions of disgruntled members of MoveOn, Democratic Underground, IndyMedia, Daily Kos and other assorted weeping moonbats that have begin to surge towards the socialist haven to the north in search of asylum.
“We feel their pain,” said the PM speaking to 2 reporters at a hastily called press-conference in the Sauron province headquarters, “but we simply can’t let in any more ‘sunshine’ Americans. We did that during the Vietnam years and our mental health care system is still groaning under the load. To let in more of Les fou Americans at this point would pretty much overload the sidewalk spaces already staked out by Canada’s homeless.
“Alas, mon amis, we must say to you, as that great French general said at the crisis of the First World War Ils ne passeront pas.
“Please take your laptops and your bongs and go back and make what life you can in the ruins of your once celestial city.”

  17. I did a lot of shift work my first ten years. And, being a happy capitalist, overtime was never declined. Designer sunglasses and Italian sandals here we come! But, I couldn’t sleep and began suffering real head splitters. The company doc in those days would give me a couple of codeine capsules which solved the instant problem at the cost of a whole litany of other issues. One day I had to pull the car over because of the pain. I staggered over to the Moose Lodge to ask to use their phone to call my husband or one of his brothers to take me home. The bartender told me to shoot some bourbon in the meantime. After that, I kept a half pint of Wild Turkey in my purse at all times. It didn’t cure the migraine, just took the edge off so you could think. While the migraines dissipated with time, the half pint remains an emergency staple.
