  4. Holy cow ! So are economy is not doing as well as expected. Bill Morneau announces the deficit will be worse than expected . After the bafflegab and double speak they are quoting 25 billion. So what happened to 30 billion plus the 5 billion miss and 16 .9 over 5 years they expected to miss on their 5 year forecast that was already revised from their original modest forecast. Independent forecasts I have seen now peg it at 34 billion for 2016. But the msm still is repeating over and over it will be just over 25 billion. I suspect they will also exceed the 34 billion. And they are going to “invest ” more! Well, what was the 34 billion invested in? The only plan they have is they ” hope ” the budget will balance itself . Have no fear ! I recently read read an article in the N P on how Lisa Riatt couldn’t do math ! They are keeping that opposition under close scrutiny! Unbelievable.

    What is the price of Liberal graft that they will stick us with? This sounds like a new twist on an old scheme to help themselves first, while hiding behind Billions if dollars of OPM.
    Notice how on the different newscasts, they trot out the same character from Ernst & Young? Is he another Liberal flunky stooge, designed to make the effin scheme look legitimate?

  11. I think that Liberal Infrastructure bank is looking a lot like the Clinton Foundation — especially if the plan is to seek foreign investors. Ultimately, the price of the Liberal graft will be Canadian sovereignty. I am convinced this is true — the demise if our nation state having already been announced by our PM — but increasingly I think that many Canadians do not particularly value national sovereignty. They are just as happy to have the UN look after us.

    A couple of observations:
    Stimulus spending is like giving antibiotics to a person with a cold. It doesn’t do anything to cure the cold but it does make the patient feel better that he has done something. In fact in the long run, these antibiotics usually create other problems with the body’s delicate balance of bacteria.
    There is no evidence anywhere that I am aware of to support the “stimulus” notion. For convincing evidence take a look at Japan’s economy where a dozen or so years of stimulus has not brought Japan out of its recession.
    The money spent on infrastructure is taken from the funds available to business decision makers and investors and put into the hands of politicians. Is there still any doubt who spends this money more wisely? Private individuals are generally motivated to invest their funds in projects that generate the best economic returns and hence add much to prosperity. Governments are motivated to spend the funds they collect in a manner that furthers the goals of the ruling class. (votes?)

    Meanwhile, FBI sources said Abedin and Weiner were cooperating with federal agents, who have taken over the non-sexting portions the case from NYPD. The husband-and-wife Clinton insiders are both shopping for separate immunity deals, sources said.
    “If they don’t cooperate they are going to see long sentences,” a federal law enforcement source said.
    NYPD sources said Weiner or Abedin stored all the emails in a massive Microsoft Outlook program on the laptop. The emails implicate other current and former members of Congress and one high-ranking Democratic Senator as having possibly engaged in criminal activity too, sources said.

  23. Agreed. I will also add that some of their policies outside of deficit financing are counterproductive to stimulus. Two that come to mind are changes in mortgage rules and new taxes. While in some areas housing values are extremely high , in others there is significant weakness. But they are painting it all with the same brush. The carbon tax ( oh price – revenue neutral lol ) demonstrates their answer for everything- tax and spend – a policy to fix a problem that if it did exist would have no measurable effects. I am looking forward to their capital tax and an increase in the gst. That will fix everything !

  36. Global warming ranks dead last among a host of important issues that people across the world worry about, according to a yearly survey conducted by the United Nations.
    The survey, which records millions of viewpoints, found that people worldwide are more concerned about acquiring a “good education,” and “better healthcare,” as well as finding “better job opportunities.”
    More than three times as many respondents are concerned about education, and twice as many are more worried about health care than they are global warming. The poll recorded 9,731,210 respondents so far across the world.
    Even among wealthy countries, most of which rank high or very high on the human development index (HDI), fighting global warming barely notches above the 10th most concerning issue.
    The UN poll appears to sync with previous surveys conducted by other outlets, including a YouGov poll in May, which found that only 9.2 percent of Americans rank global warming as their biggest concern.
    Only Saudi Arabians were less concerned about global warming at 5.7 percent. The biggest concern for U.S. citizens, in fact, was global terrorism — 28 percent of those polled listed this as their top issue.
    A Gallup poll in March of 2015 showed that Americans concerned about global warming tumbled to the same level it was in 1989. Only 32 percent of Americans in the poll said they are worried about global warming a “great deal.”
    Americans are less worried about global warming in 2015 than they were in 2014, when 34 percent said they worried about warming a “great deal.”
