I don’t understand the reasoning for this. 25% of “qualified labour expenditure” (whatever that means) seems a little profligate.
The decision is likely to resonate the most in Joly’s province of Quebec, and her hometown of Montreal, where the tax credit could benefit several popular French-language talk shows produced by independent production companies.
Oh, nevermind. Spending money in Quebec is reason enough for the Liberals.

The reasoning is obvious to me. It’s a subsidy for the media so they can employ more people who will think well of the government for subsidizing them. And then obviously those talk shows will say good things about a government that supports people working on talk shows.
The Politbureau rewards those who propagate the party line. That’s all.
I look forward to Ezra’s new tax-credited TV talk-show.
I don’t object to media support, but CBC should lose the same amount of Money…Just move the money to a another player that may develop an audience…
Ezra is sure to get the Canadian version of the Lois Lerner, IRS treatment. His “talk show” will be audited … before receiving its “fair share” of the Tax Credit
fairly blatant way to finance pro Libtard Propaganda with taxpayers money.
I guess CBC and its 6 viewers is not enough .
That’s hitting the nail on the head.
Slight problem though, TV audiences are almost a thing of the past!! Thus Trudeau is throwing money at a lost cause!
