Carbon pricing is the absolute FAVORITE tax of every LEFTIST on the planet. It’s a SIN TAX !
It is no different than the OUTRAGEOUS taxes levied on tobacco. And for the record, I have never smoked in my life, and have no dog in that fight … except LOSS of FREEDOM and LIBERTY). The carbon TAX is no different than a Soda Tax. The exact same thing as those poor Canadians who have to purchase liquor from a GOVERNMENT store and pay a mind-numbing TAX for the SIN of drink. But it IS different from a Marijuana TAX … cause you see … marijuana is a “medicine”. At least it is for many of the 94 million Americans no longer looking for a job … cause it helps their chronic condition.
So bow down and pray to the Green god. Bring your cash offerings to the Temple. For you have SINNED ! If this whole charade wasn’t so pathetic and dangerous, it would be funny. The rich, who have plenty of money to pay the tax, won’t adjust their fuel usage.

My solution for climate change is human sacrifice of liberal politicians. For every storm we shall give “assisted suicide” to one politician,starting at the top, until the climate change is no longer a threat. I have a feeling this will bring a quick end to the climate change narrative.

How can you tell if any of this crap is valid if you don’t know how much CO2 was in the atmosphere 10 years ago as compared to now??? My guess is that C02 % varies widely from day to day, and from season to season!
If we allow this scam of carbon tax to be foisted on us we are the fools. We are going to go broke! not to mention freeze, like Ontario we won’t be able to afford to heat our homes.
@ 50 dollars a ton on fertalizer, that alone will cost me over 5000. extra a year and then add on the extra trucking cost etc.
some big farmers will pay well over 100 to 150 thousand a year more just for fertalizer.
We have elected a bunch of chicken little fools folks…

The demand for auto and home heating fuel is inelastic in a 40 below country with long distances. the tax will just be a tax and will minimally modify behavior. The non-CO2 alternatives are so costly that substitutes will bring about extreme poverty and suffering. The only way to reduce CO2 is to destroy society but hey they’re Liberals so nothing is new.

I ask my liberal co-workers and friends who want a carbon tax if they declined their income tax refund this year since they feel they weren’t taxed enough. Most answer with a blank stare or “oh that’s not the same”.
About half of the carbon released into the atmosphere from human activities comes from Asia where factories are churning out cheap solar panels, wind turbines, and all the other disposable consumer goods we love to buy at MalWart. Those factories are burning dirty coal and spewing the pollution into the air and water and across the land.
If the ‘carbon tax’ was actually about significantly reducing ‘carbon emissions’, then it would be applied to goods imported from countries that cause the most ‘carbon emissions’ wouldn’t it?
Canadian oil and gas provides energy with only a fraction of the pollution caused by Asian coal. Using less Canadian petroleum and buying cheap solar panels and wind turbines from Asia is counterproductive and actually increases those global GHG emissions that some people believe cause the weather to change.
The carbon tax is a Canadian fuel tax surcharge. It’s a tax grab that won’t reduce GHG emissions. It’s a perfect example of Verschlimmbesserung — the German word for “improvement that makes things worse”. It’s a foolish exercise much like a farmer choking chickens to increase egg production.
