Cold War, 2.0.
Clint Eastwood’s empty chair had the measure of the man in 2012. So did Putin.

All that verbiage just to get to the clincher line: we are better off with an “angry” Hillary Clinton in the White House, than a “Russia-friendly” Donald Trump.
I wonder if the author ever considered how easily Clinton can be bought.
Looks like Trump is having his Bill Clinton moment.
He might be toast.
This is the largest failing of my generation (gen x).
Under our watch, we have seen most of the geopolitical gains of the 20th Century evaporate in less than a decade.
It’s puzzling that a generation that has been soooo successful economically, and had such a massive impact on the everyday lives of EVERYONE on this planet; that we could be so naive regarding geopolitics.
We will be apologizing for decades to future generations for following our parent’s lead of sticking our heads up our own arses regarding this.
We should all be ashamed.
“We will be apologizing for decades”
You may not be around for that long . . .
That’s the sad part. Millions of people worldwide, maybe billions, saw this all coming in 2007 when Obama first appeared as a contender. Palin, Eastwood, we were all ignored and laughed at.
Relax folks our soon to be deployed peacekeeping troops bring everybody to their senses.
If Russia and China unite, we are toast, and they will do it soon.SED CALLE
Hopefully, Putin will annex Canada and save us from the PC suicide the rest of the west is so intent on committing.
The Russians look a zero and see a weaking. Osama bin laden used the analogy of looking at a horse. He said everyone can tell the difference between a strong horse and a weak horse. Zero is the proverbial weak horse.
I claimed if Trudeau won the last election, Putin would make moves on the Arctic oil reserves in northern Canada within six months.
I was wrong. The Russians haven’t made a move.
Perhaps the wily Vlad recognizes a toughness and resolve in PM Justin that I don’t see.
Russia is afraid to confront Canada and our new PM! I didn’t see that coming.
Nope.
Are you sure Zero is a complete horse, if you get my meaning?
That’s because the threat that Potato would stare him down scared Putin into submission.
Putin is shivering in the Kremlin worried about Trudope’s next pawn move.
The Cold War never ended. Putin is an unreconstructed Bolshevik totalitarian.
He bombed his own country to get them to rally behind him to attack Chechnya 2.0 which was attacked by Yeltsin for only wanting Liberty from Russia, a country which has been historically BRUTAL toward it’s own people.
Then Putin let Chechens into Russia to attack a theatre in Moscow and a primary school in Belsan to emphasize what a great idea it was to let Uncle Vladimir to make war in order to protect Russia, and DAMNED if it didn’t make useful IDIOTS in the west and Russia admire him for it.
I don’t blame the Chechens. I’d do the same.
Some A-Holes think Russia and China will unite?
You A-Holes have no idea how xenophobic the Chinese are. Not a clue.
Yes the Russians are Asians, not Europeans. No the Russians are not Chinese.
The Chinese are not confused about this issue.
The Russians and the PRC have the longest militarized border on the planet.
It is so militarized, that there are huge numbers of troops and tanks facing each other by the 10s of thousands.
Exactly! The US has gone down hill drastically both diplomatically and economically since 2008. Clint did have the best visual of an empty chair.
The Nineties are calling – they want their foreign policy back – Obama mocking Romney during 2012 presidential debate when Romney warned about Russia.

So is the Turd, and the entire west, for that matter:
