So China owns 1.3 Trillion of America’s debt, but China is drowning in their own debt? Is there any nation that isn’t drowning in debt?
I think that central banks around the world have decided not to allow any more “Lehman moments”. They just quietly funnel liquidity into the troubled organization or government until the problem stops for the short term. Longer term, of course, once enough companies catch on to this tactic the demand will be potentially endless. With no effective penalty for bad business decisions, you will eventually load up your economy with scores of zombie investments and then you will experience a permanent recession.

The Japanese people are very ethnically homogenous and invest in Japan, which keeps it afloat.
There are 13 different basic Chinese dialects and the Chinese people are investing in real estate like Vancouver.
At least the Lehman moment is over quickly. Japan-type stagnation is decades long. Is that really better?
Maybe it’s better that Justin won and Hillary will too. When China stops growing at 7%+ per year while our interest rates rise, count on a major correction.
It will happen due during the progressive watch, with them exacerbating it. Tough times are often when corrupt technocrats get outed.
When everyone is fat and happy and doing well, as during the Chretien and Bill Clinton years, nobody complains.
Of course the MSM will be there to slime opponents and cover up their political clients mendacity and incompetence, but this could be a big one.
Too bad recessions will deepen and recoveries flatten, at best, that’s big government for you; with the progressive lemmings pushing us all over the cliff.
It will be tough for bankrupt MSM outlets to shill for the progressives in future elections, though CBC is planning a mediocracy takeover, with Justin’s help.
I wonder why that is?
It’s a good thing that Trudeau is handing Canada over to the Chinese, eh?
