The Honourable Member From Iranistan

Toronto Sun;

The Peterborough MP was previously known as Canada’s first Afghan parliamentarian, coming to Canada from Afghanistan in 1996 at the age of 11. But, after being questioned by the Globe and Mail, Monsef says she spoke to her mother and found out she was actually born in Iran.
She’s confirmed her passport incorrectly lists Herat, Afghanistan, as her place of birth. It’s not known whether her proper birthplace was provided on her citizen or refugee applications.
[…] she’s currently leading the charge to change the voting system we’ve used for 150 years.

  1. “…she’s currently leading the charge to change the voting system we’ve used for 150 years.”
People in Toronto are reading this and screaming “SO WHAT?!!!” at their computers. That’s why this country is in trouble, morons who think Social Justice is a one way street, and we all need to abase ourselves and be walked on by Noble Savages from third world craphole countries.
Obviously her parents lied on the form. Why wouldn’t they? They were probably coached to do so by whatever lizard was helping them fill it out. “Tell them what they want to hear” is a principle in crappy countries.
WE are the idiots. WE voted for this sh1t, for 40 fricking years.

  2. Any bets this will get no government attention and it will change nothing? This is one of the more unbelievable tales we’ve heard. Wy would a person grow up not knowing their own personal history, where they came from? It’s understandable a chld wouldn’t be inquisitve but as they grew into adults if they didn’t ask..odd in itself…their Mother should have told them. Who was hiding what and why needs to be asked.

  3. On a TV interview Monsef stated that she was of Afghani ethnicity and spoke an Afghan language unlike those nasty Iranians. Apparently she speaks Dari which is indistinguishable from Farsi (Iranian) and Tajik. One people – artificial border. Note that the largest language group in Afghanistan in Pashtun, a related Iranian type language. Why was Monsef trying to fool Canadians with another lie? If her mother is still alive, deport her.

  4. How much do you want to bet that this will all be nicely swept under a conveniently placed rug and nothing more will be heard about it again? It’ll be given a politically correct whitewash as I’m sure the MSM would blow a few gaskets if she steps aside. It’ll be seen as “sexism”, “hostility against former refugees”, and, of course, that tried-and-true “Islamaphobia”.
She will then be hailed as an example of “what Canada’s all about”, have her picture plastered on magazine covers, do the chat show circuit, and prosper quite nicely.
And, we’ll be bombarded with endless images of the Potato’s smirk.
If she had any honour and integrity to begin with, she would have come clean with it and quickly offered to resign. She hasn’t, so I guess that says it all.

  5. Now,now.Be nice to the muzzie. They haven’t taught geography in school for the last 4 millennia over there. After all, Iran is a million miles from Afghanistan. Who the hell let her into our country to start with? Save a rat, shoot a bureaucrat.

  6. Well B Deplorable, she has just shown she really, really is a Liberal.
In the liberano world budgets balance themselves, a windowless shack in a field is a residence and Mr Potato Puff is our dear leader.

  7. This reminds me of some students our department had shortly after I began my job as a post-secondary instructor.
As part of their application, they had to provide transcripts or equivalent documents that showed that they had the necessary academic qualifications to begin their studies. When we had them in our courses, it became abundantly clear that the background preparation we were led to believe they had was debatable.
That led to the question as to how that came about. In at least one case, the transcripts were translated from the native language into English. Some of my colleagues were suspicious about that as those translators might have “misinterpreted” certain details and that this slip-up might not have been accidental, if you know what I mean.
As it turned out, some of them struggled and eventually graduated. Others, however, dropped out and we never heard from them again.

  8. With enough money, certain details can either be erased or embellished. A few bucks here and there can cover a multitude of sins.

  9. Yup–we got our old Canada back!! Because it’s 2016, it makes it all OK!!
My paternal family has lived in this RM and town for 107 years. I still get letters from the gov asking why I don’t have a street address, and I use a P.O. Box. When I question their motives, they inform me that it’s a precaution against money laundering. ”Money laundering” I say. ”I live off my pension and a registered saving plan at TD Bank” I reply. ”I take out about $60.00 a month in cash because my yard man doesn’t like cheques.”
Yet people arrive here from Africa, the Philippines, Laos, China and Mexico and nobody questions them.
    Oh Canada!!

  10. Poor baby, she is not responsible for not knowing where she was born, it’s her mother’s fault. Well, let’s talk to her mother, lets get the answers. If they’re here illegally they need to be deported but whcih country would they be deported to? Do they get sent to Iran or Afghanistan?
If only we had an opposition who could take some action beyond talking about it or one that keeps on talking until it gets results. This is serious, it’s not something anyone should be allowed to get away with as a sitting MP. Who can the Opposition demand action on this case from? Governor General?

  11. Well she is a Liberal.
    The lips move,Lies flow forth.
Afghanistan,Iran, Zimbabwe what difference does it make….to their normal voter….those interned in the Dead Centre of every city.

  12. So the party that was going to insure all refugees allowed into the country were to be properly screened can’t even screen their own cabinet ministers. This from the party that claims all cultures are equal, well if all cultures are equal why do these other cultures lie and cheat to get into our Canadian one? Continuing with this rant, the party that promised to increase the CBC budget can’t even depend on the CBC slanting the news for them because they have to spend another $600,000 dollars to hire some IT hacks to organize a twitter account. The party that demonized a Conservative senator, which led to a trial costing taxpayers hundred of thousands of dollars, over expense claims, is now admitting that they are guilty of over charging on expense claims for un-elected bureaucrats. The party that criticized the Conservatives for not pursing more vigorously a seat on the UN Security Council is now going out of its way to buy (or bribe), again with taxpayer money, the seat in order, no doubt, to reward a party hack. All this has happened in a short week, and there is no outrage shown by Canadians. No pitchforks, scythes or torches on Parliament Hill after all that WOULD be Un-Canadian! I’m getting a bumper sticker made up it’s going to say “There are dupes, then there are DUPES, and then there are Canadians that vote for Liberals and Dippers!!!!”

  13. In addition, as a federal cabinet minister, she will have access to confidential, if not classified, information. Somebody had to vet her for that and any discrepancies should have been found if the investigation was done properly.
This is indeed serious. Obtaining clearance under false pretences can result in having that clearance revoked due to being a security risk and could be considered a criminal offence.
Does anybody think anything’s going to happen? Me, neither.

  14. Well then, she will be well versed in how to count votes for the Islamist party members … 90% victories for the lot of em. And 85% victories for their useful idiot sympathizers.

  15. The Sun article notes that for years, others in the community were aware her country of birth was different than she stated during election campaigns.
That rumour would have reached her and her family, too during her those elections.
Then her mother would have corrected her on it, if she didn’t already know.
    Something isn’t adding up.
The next obvious questions would be.
For 100 points: “What is taqquiya?”
Second question: Since taqquiya doesn’t violate Sharia law. It is part of Sharia law.
Is taqquiya part of Liberal Party law, too?
    Just askin…

  16. Without relating this to the story, kids growing up not knowing their personal history is not as uncommon as you might think. I know a gentleman in the Kawarthas (Ont) that had no idea when his birthday was, how old he was, nor who his parents were, nor can he read nor write. He was taken in as an abandoned infant by a foster mother in a rural area through no formal adoption process. He never went to school. All his life, the local community has always looked out for him, and gave him work to do and made sure he had somewhere to live. When I first met him some 50 years ago, he’d have been about 30-35 then.

  17. One would expect immigration, cbsa would have something to say.
    Also rcmp, csis, elections Canada.
No? All ok? Just change all records?

  18. If we can’t vet a Cabinet Minister, how are we going to vet Moe Blow?
But electoral reform will give a voice to the struggling Iranian and Afghan Party of Canada.
Meanwhile, PM Poopy Pants may have met his match in the Royals Children.

  19. A few weeks back I was looking through the magazines at the dentist’s office and came across an interview with Ms. Monsef since she became Minister of Electorial Reform (sorry…I can’t remember the name of the magazine to find a link). She described in vivid detail crying every night for a year when she first came to Canada because she felt bullied…you would think she would also remember 2 years before that fleeing Iran?
At best she needs to resign!and where is the Ethics Commissioner on this?

  20. Yes, the RCMP have to vet all appointees to full cabinet positions. So this does reflect on their ability to do that.
Sub-cabinet positions like, for example, the Minister of Consular Affairs, are not required to be RCMP vetted.
Does this give some indication how difficult it would be to vet migrants/refugees from war torn countries where there is a failed state, a semi-failed state or simply one that considers itself to be at war with the infidel?
Vetting is a necessary but imperfect process.
A person born and raised in Canada may have decades of personal history that can be checked. That can take weeks or months.
Immigrants who have very little history here are thus vetted much quicker. There is very little personal history that can be checked reliably.
Some police and RCMP have noticed that discrepancy, e.i. when checking applicants for even the police service, but it’s not something politicians or the MMSM raise for public discussion.

  21. Actually, this is a serious issue. I suspect she was chosen for Cabinet because of her ethnic background, but may not have been chosen if her Iranian background was known That this totally inexperienced woman — now not who she purported to be — is in charge of our electoral reform is very worrisome. People should be asking why she was given that portfolio. Do we not have more experienced Liberals who might have taken that on?

  22. Immigration fraud. A liberal tradition and now a fraudster is in charge of changing how we vote. What could go wrong?

  23. One would think that all cabinet ministers would have to be vetted as portfolios change and they attend all sorts of meetings in which sensitive information will be discussed.
I know all about the vetting process as I went through it myself more than once and, yes, they do check. Anything suspicious will be noticed and will have to be explained.
I knew of someone who was denied security clearance at a visit by a certain world dignitary because, through his personal hobby interests, wrote to certain Iron Curtain countries. On the other hand, I knew of people who were granted clearance even though they had certain political affiliations many years earlier.
I’m a naturalized Canadian and, no, I was not vetted quicker than my colleagues who were born in this country.

  24. “People should be asking why she was given that portfolio.”
    Why?
    Female? Check.
    Young? Check.
    Immigrant background? Check.
Background neither English nor French? Check.
    Muslim? Check.
    Why? “Becauthe it’th 2015, thtupid.”

  25. all the “liberals in here coming down on this woman need to give their heads a shake. First of, she was 11 years old when the original mistake was made. 2nd, we do not know the level of education and competence the mother had at the time they came here. 3rd, was there gov’t complicity (at time of immigration) in the mistake, and has there been complicity in any cover up. Yes, she should step aside till things get sorted out.
But lets look a little deeper here, why the h*ll is a foreign born 30 something in her position, fact how was she even elected. She has probably been coached by the liberal party, and that is were things need to be looked at.
And further to some of the nonsense in here, I was unaware of my mothers actual maiden name till after I was 50 yrs old, a sister in law corrected me on that. I have only 2 pieces of actual gov’t documents with my birth name on them, all others have anassumed name on them, without there ever being a legal change.
We need to look at all department and officials that may have screwed up on this, and determine if some were intentional. Also who knew what, and when, and why nothing was done by them.

  26. She’s Minister for ramming through electoral “reform” because when we object to the reform they can deflect the criticism with shouts of “Racist! Sexist!”

  27. There’s another story that might be well worth knowing that has been a family secret. The full story of what happened to her father.

  28. “Monsef stated that she was of Afghani ethnicity”
Afghani isn’t an ethnicity. Nationality yes, ethnicity no.
Pashtun(Taliban) is the largest Afghan ethnic group, estimates of their numbers vary because Pashtuns won’t let their women be counted.

  29. If our Opposition can’t demand and make a huge issue of this issue and the fact she is in charge of changing how we vote we need to take it upon ourselves to hit the streets if necessary. This country does not belong to politicians who gain power and think they can do as they please for their own interests. In this case it’s in the interest of power for Liberals.

  30. A muzzie, given the portfolio to change our voteing system.
Ain’t that nice….the way we vote does not need changed, period!
What does need changed is the idots thinking that voted in these thieving libeal bandits….imagine truedopes buddy charging the tax payers 120 grand ?? to move from Ottawa to Toronto.
    don’t they think their entitled!!
We the people should not be standing for this bs.

  31. Because everything that she does will be staged dog and pony show for the MSM, anyways. The backroom boys have already decided how they want the electoral system rigged to keep them on the gravy train in perpetuity. In that regard, she’s very much like Justin … but perhaps less oblivious to her real function in the Liberal government.

  32. Don’t forget that Count Dracula–er, Craig Oliver–joyfully said on election night that the Liberals are the “natural governing party” of Canada.

  33. The majority of “we the people” are more concerned about Brangelina breaking up than the fact that the Lieberals and their buddies are ransacking the treasury for their benefit. Take away their electronic toys and the websites they spend all their time on and they wouldn’t know what to do, incapable of looking for information, let alone analyzing it.

  34. Find a willing lawyer that is willing to go through the Criminal Code section 507.1 hearing. Make it clear that various laws were not followed.

  35. Yeah, well Cragg Oliver is a life long Liberal and was buddy, buddy with the senior Trudeau. I thought Cragg had retired but he keeps coming back like a bad smell.

  36. Why do you think electoral reform is so high on the agenda? They lost for a decade and they can’t have that happen again. We need a democracy with only one party to vote for immediately.

  37. “I thought Cragg had retired but he keeps coming back like a bad smell.”
    Or like the undead….

  38. Yeah, just like they have in Thpud’th favourite country. Then again, all communist countries have advertised themselves as being democratic, even putting that term into their names.

  39. “Yes, the RCMP have to vet all appointees to full cabinet positions. So this does reflect on their ability to do that.”
What an insult to veterinarians. The RCMP is simple. Follow the money. Goons with guns.

  40. To be fair, her parents were Afghan refugees from the Soviet occupation, so her origin is indeed Afghan, but she should still step down until the matter is cleared.
With that said, it is quite clear Ms. Monsef is just a sock puppet, much like PMJT. She is young and cute, and will give a human face to an exercise that is a front to odious machinations. The Liberal backroom operators are set on imposing ranked ballots, as this will ensure Liberal governments basically forever (think of the PRI in Mexico), and this is what we will get regardless of the results of the sham ‘consultations’ with the public.
Not only one year in power and the Liberals are already in spending scandals. This is small potatoes (nice pun, eh?) compared to what is coming. Remember that the backroom operatives first worked for McGuinty/Wynne.

  41. I tend to agree, she is a sock puppet…how close to a sock puppet is the person in the roll of Prime Minister? How could he do his job on his own without the puppeteers behind the curtain?
They are operating from the same Liberals bible they used when in the employ of the McGuinty/Wynne duo in Ontariowe. There’s no stpping them, they are the unelected brains of the outfit we call our government.
∑e are in a serious, precarious mess and we got their with our eyes wide open.

  42. Looks like Trent University has struck again. That campus makes Portland, Oregon, look sane.

  43. Right both times, as is lumbernard in his comment. George Soros was not amused when the representative of western rednecks Stephen Harper was elected Prime Minister and through the Liberals will make sure this travesty will not reoccur.
Darrel Bricker (pollster) and John Ibbitson (Globe & Mail journalist), both Liberals, wrote in “The Big Shift” that Stephen Harper represented the increased power and wealth of the west and that the grip on power in Canada by the Laurentian Elite was broken forever. They were wrong, as was shown by last October’s election, and Ms Monsef is the pretty divers face that will be the front for making sure leftists will never be unseated again.

  44. You know what Don, you are probably right, as B (an Honorable Deplorable member) mentioned above, “The majority of “we the people” are more concerned about Brangelina breaking up than the fact that the Lieberals and their buddies are ransacking the treasury for their benefit”.
And, don’t forget, the media will be just fine with the hijacking of the Canadian political system, as the power brokers of the media are part of the Laurentian Elite.
Separation? An impossible dream? There, I said it.

  45. Interesting that when Monsef was running for Mayor of Peterbourough she referred to herself as “Persian”… Afghani’s are not “Persian”… why would she say she was “Persian” when she “believes” to have been born and raised in Afghanistan? “So you were born in Afghanistan”…. “I believe I was”… that answer is a deliberate deception, a calculated deception… Why would she not simply answer, yes? I’d like to know who bankrolled this unaccomplished womans run for Mayor… Soros? Steyer? the Rockefellers? Monsef preambles everything she says with the absurd divisive and bigoted mantra used by political surrogates of foreign agitators “that she’d like to acknowledge that she is standing on unseeded (insert indian tribe name) land”… that is the calling card of someone bankrolled by foreign stakeholders hell bent on destabilizing the country’s energy sector and the economy. Monsef is a liar… why say you’re “Persian” when you “believe” you’re Afghani? Why answer so ambiguously (“I believe I was”) when asked if you were born in Afghanistan. Something doesn’t add up with this bird brained woman.
