Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

The number of public sector employees jumped 57,000 in August, while the number of private sector jobs increased 8,300. The number of self-employed workers slipped by 39,100.
because that’s what canada needs, more public sector jobs.
It won’t be much longer until the little potato surpasses his father’s numbers (13%) for unemployment in Canada.
Speaking of our Hero Ezra,
I sent this Email to The Rebel yesterday…
Subject: Who was the young male driver who hit and killed a pregnant Quebec city woman in Early Aug?
I believe this might need some looking in to.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/pregnant-pedestrian-chul-baby-born-quebec-city-1.3715354
Over 2 weeks ago, it was mentioned in French media that more would be known about the tragedy (and identity of driver?) in “about 10 days”.
I am pointing at a possible Jihadist style attack being covered up. We still do not know the identity of the driver or anything about his “malaise”.
Are the Federal and Quebec Liberals pressuring for silence on this?…Why are the Feds now requesting public consultations on their initial Election promise of repealing large swats of Bill C-51? What are the Trudeau Liberals afraid of?
Thank You!”
I since got a reply from Ezra himself thanking for the tip, that they will look into it…How cool is that!)
“Oh, Shiny Potato”, and Red Rachel.
Oilwell Drilling Contractors (CAODC) revised drilling forecast 2016
Projected 2016 wells drilled: 3,562 – a decrease of 25% from original forecast (4,728)
Projected operating days: 40,252 – a decrease of 28% from original forecast (56,260)
Projected rig count in Q4: 140 – a decrease of 31% from original forecast (204)
Rig fleet to contract by 87 rigs (758 drilling rigs to 671 drilling rigs)
69% decrease in employment from 2014 levels (-34,560 jobs)
In its latest drilling activity update, CAODC draws attention to the difficult challenges facing the oil and gas industry. CAODC President, Mark Scholz, emphasizes the depth of the current downturn, “The oil and gas services industry is facing the most difficult economic time in a generation. In fact, 2016 will be the worst year in our recorded drilling activity history (1977).”

Not one drop of oil must ever be produced again, according to Red Rachel and her socialist chorus line. However, “social justice” oil is allowed to be produced because of all those fancy battle wagons that her staff buy for themselves–at taxpayer’s expense, of course–are so necessary for the revolution to be fulfilled.
Those cars, completely kitted out with plush seats and air conditioning, can’t use rainbows and fairy dust for fuel.
http://www.nationalnewswatch.com/2016/09/09/statistics-canada-to-release-august-jobs-report-economist-expect-growth-3/#.V9K0RvnyuUk
The outlook is dismal, almost all the jobs at the Statscan report are government make work projects, “The gain in August was due in large part to an increase in the number of public sector employees that climbed 57,000, while the number of private sector jobs increased 8,300. The number of self-employed workers slipped by 39,100.”
The numbers of full time jobs lost versus part time employment gained is equally disturbing, “However compared with 12 months ago, the economy has added just 77,400 jobs as 35,700 full-time jobs have been lost and 113,100 part-time positions have been added.”
This is pure sleight-of-hand or smoke and mirrors if you prefer, and typical of the dishonesty in reporting unvarnished factual information since the LPC took over.
The economy is in deep shit, all we have to offer to the world market is the resource industry, and we’re saddled with a government that is anti-RI.
Tough times ahead unless the oil producers decide to cut production drastically.

I’m figuring there is one big correction coming in the markets this fall – probably before Halloween.
When that happens there probably wont be a race to C$.
Bad news all the way around. Especially if there is a corresponding correction to crude.
After Trump wins and is elected, the people who pull the strings are going to make the stock market crash to make it look like it is because of Trump.
This will hurt Canada a lot.
The USA buys over 70 % of everything we produce, if they have less money to buy our stuff, our economy will slow down.
And with Justimbecile Trudeau already slowing down our economy, it might get quite ugly for a while.
But hey he is cute!!
The showdown should come now and not later. Shut all oil and gas pipelines down and leave them shut down till this crap ends. I mean internal provincialy in Alberta and across Canada.
Why do you figure that?
The whole point is to keep the Liberals in power with unwavering voters.
Gated white liberal voters have un-bred themselves out of existence, hence the need for new blood.

Trudeau once famously said he admired China because its dictatorship could order changes quickly.
Funny how that can work sometimes. Canadian seller and Chinese buyer of Canola had worked out a deal, each for their mutual benefit and along comes the ruling dictatorship with arbitrary rules to interfere with those arrangements. Even a guy like Trudeau with limited brain power must be aware of the irony here.
Just the way the markets are lined up. Saturated with pension money that typically would be in bonds. The market is over valued when you look at x earnings. The world is awash in oil and no end in sight. The world economy has been on shaken ground since ’08 and especially since oil corrected in 2014. IMO a lot of bad signs and hey it’s fall…..typically when corrections occur.
Maybe I’m wrong – I am uneasy.
the math is not good on this one. thousands more at the trough and thousands fewer available to support them keeping their snouts in the trough.
And Ezra’s reply to a driveby snarking by Norm Spector (who is usually pretty good as I recall):
https://twitter.com/ezralevant/status/774324955022499840
Addendum: clicking on Norm’s original tweet gives alot of good replies to Norm’s query from other Twitterers too. (There aren’t a ton; only about a dozen so it won’t take alot of time.)
No worries, Stats Can will find a reason to revamp their calculations. End result will be endless rosy numbers, because, 2016!
Their new formula will just take the number of people working divided by the number of jobs. Voila! 0% unemployment! See how easy it is!
