He was just a kid — 13 years old — when he and other kids were first rounded up by their local Hungarian Jewish Council and made to hand out what were in fact deportation notices (and he actually told the recipients the true purpose of those notices so that they could take the opportunity to escape instead). And he didn’t actively help Nazis confiscate Jewish property, as is often claimed by right-wing pundits, but rather was simply brought along as a 14 year old kid by his non-Jewish Hungarian protector, who was at the time posing as Soros’ adopted godfather. It was a three-day trip into the countryside; the alternative would’ve been to leave him alone at home.
It’s not like he was pointing fingers and naming names. Here plenty of reasons to criticize Soros without resorting to exaggerations and outright lies.

Sure, I’m aware that Soros is a funder. But did you actually read the contents of the Media Matters article? The part about Sun Media issuing a full retraction and apology for the Ezra Levant column that spread the ‘Nazi conspirator’ smears? Allow me to highlight the pertinent sections:
