Blog Notes — (Pinned)

Our host provider has a planned server update and migration of SDA to the new machine, scheduled for 6pm Eastern Saturday, August 13th.
SDA will be unreachable during this time — for how long, we don’t know as the process isn’t under our control. If we encounter serious issues that result in an extended downtime, I’ll try to provide what updates I can via Twitter – @katewerk
Sunday morning update: it appears that everything’s working well, apart from some content that was lost late last night.

  1. We’ll just have to be patient until the switch-over is complete. Thank you for the warning, Kate.

  2. It’s more likely that Lance will need to rescue us from somebody else’s problems.
Calgary at Riders if you need a distraction during this trying ordeal.

  3. one wonders why Kate has an over seas server, Rance could fly here and set one at Pear One, and then be able to do switch overs in 15 minutes, as my SIL used to do.:-)))

  4. Laura Ingraham tears the never Trump fools a new one. Well said ma’am. I’ll add polling to back her point which currently have Trump’s lower party loyalty vote as a decisive difference, whereby Trump could be up a bit rather than down a bit, if not for the crybabies:
“Those are reasons to support Trump, not reasons to fear him. Over the last 25 years, the conservative movement has failed to win a single election against Bill Clinton or Barack Obama. They failed to stop social liberalism. They failed to stop the rise of China. They failed to shrink the federal government, balance the federal budget, return power to the states, or generally do any of the things that GOP voters wanted them to do.”
Now, peeved and spiteful that the base no longer trusts them to do almost anything, they are supporting Hillary Clinton — a radical liberal whose 25 years on the national stage have been an absolute disaster for the average American.”

  5. I think my comment was something like ‘DNS changes usually go smoothly and quickly’, which is true, except when they cause comments about DNS changes to go missing. It’s not as if the comment was worth much anyway.

  6. Is my memory going or was there a Reader Tips that disappeared from this blog????
    Just thought I’d ask.

Some content …was an entire thread on the Milwaukie travesty.
I had 2 long comments that I spent a considerable amount of time working on.
The basic substance of those 2 screedic victims of collateral damage was that the government and their agents(POLICE) are at minimum enablers of the civic unrest that is currently going on.
But BOY oh BOY won’t Wisconsonions be greatful to the government and their agents(police and now apparently National Guard) once they put out the Fire that the government and police enabled in the first place.
YAY! Aren’t we lucky to live in the best place in the whole world?!
And the government only robs us and lets the thugs they pay with the robbed fruits of our labour to beat us and burn us out every now and again to help us to fully appreciate how well and benevolently we are ruled over.
    Yippy.
