  1. Giuliani fired up the Republican crowd with his speech tonight. Melania Trump did a good job in presenting hers, considering that she’s not used to public speaking and English isn’t her mother tongue.
After that, however, things sort of fell flat and it didn’t help that the proceedings were running into overtime.
The PBS commentators, not surprisingly, were lukewarm.

  2. That Mud vid was kinda cool. Thanks for that, Kate. Maybe someone will make a vid with real tough guys called Snow.

  3. I was very disappointed in Trump’s wife tonight. She doesn’t come across as progressive! What was she wearing?! UGH!!
Why wasn’t she wearing the most prized garment a womyn can wear–a pantsuit like Honest Hillary?!
Every progressive loves a womyn in a pantsuit! If Trump’s wife wore pantsuits, maybe she could get Prince to do a song about her, like he did for Honest Hillary!

  4. The MSM didn’t report on this because they pander to the people who voted Trudeau’s party into govt, and those people have no interest in anything that does not validate their progressive notions. The MSM does not report news; they produce a lieberal propaganda entertainment product. The MSM run a business and that’s clearly what their advertisers want to see published.

  5. Ontario’s Premier Wynne is flying high, spending and taxing us to poverty while the opposition is no where to be seen or heard. That must be taken to mean they agree with what she’s doing. Who is leading the PC’s in Ontario? I think his name is Brown but can anyone even recognize his voice? I know Wynne’s stammering and Horwath makes herself heard but Mr Brown is the Quiet Man on the political stage of Ontario. How can we support someone who can’t speak out and speak up?

  7. Let me guess: you’re one of those liberals who deny the very existence of a pervasive, systemic, and very well-entrenched liberal media bias — especially during election cycles — and yet you have no comment to post on the stories here that the MSM deliberately avoid yet the one you cite has been picked up by the very same ones you deny have a bias to begin with. Another irony-impaired liberal… reminds me of the subway lady on Seinfeld.

  8. I aaree with your summation of the Republican convention. Mrs Trump showed herself to be a classy lady.
As for the usual leftist media, nothing new there but they’fre too damned stupid to realize what’s happening in US politics is the result of their crappy/ biased/selective reporting of all things political. The resut is now there for all to see, Donald Trump has risen to the top and poised to fill the empty seat in the White House. Karma doesn’t get any better than this.

Unlike the Timid Tories, the Liberals are cleaning house, as Dion fires a couple of dozen Conservative Ambassador appointments to replace them with much better (read: LIBERAL) diplomats.
In two years no one will even remember Harper’s name,if the LPC has anything to do with it.
Btw, I read earlier today that Justin fed the multitudes at the Calgary Stampede with just ONE batch of pancake mix!
Remind you of anybody? Long time back?
Next week,Justin walks across Lake Ontario!

  10. Sarcasm alert: Liz are you implying the US media are biased? Not when up is down.
“Chris Matthews Scolds Mother Of Benghazi Victim: “It Was Wrong” to “Lie About Hillary Clinton.”
“I think it was wrong. I don’t care what that woman up there, the mother has felt. Her emotions are her own but for the country in choosing a leader, it’s wrong to have someone get up there and tell a lie about Hillary Clinton. It’s not true. It’s logically not true. It’s manifestly not true, even if all of the arguments about what she said afterwards or Susan Rice said afterwards on Meet the Press are true and anybody who thinks about it for a second knows it’s not true and I think it’s wrong that they ruin their evening with this.”
I know Chris, Hillary has never lied before, this would be so out of character; or is it she will never lie again? It’s so hard to keep track.

  11. A *real* leader would tap dance on water. Watch for the Shiny Pony doing a Fred Astaire imitation on the lake.

  12. LindaL;
I am going out of my way to watch more Rebel media.
John Baird: I liked this guy during the Harper years as his pit bull mentality stood out. Unfortunately he is not standing for CPC leadership which is a huge disappointment. I likely will not rejoin the CPC if a progressive takes control which appears now highly possible.
Iran: I will defer to Baird’s knowledge of the particulars of Iranian foreign adventures. My take was different. If finger pointing was taking place I would ask why Baird did not include Saudi Arabia which IMHO has a far worse record than Iran. The Saudis have put far more money into world Islamic terrorism than Iran is my guess. The Iranians suffered almost 2 million dead in their war against Sadam Hussein. If they are a tad nervous about what the Sunni Arabs might have planned for them then I can understand why.
It was Sunni Arabs from Saudi Arabia that took the Towers down, not the Iranians.

“Toronto has become a monolithic, suffocating liberal swamp”
“Toronto is now well established as the bastion of left-wing politics in Canada. Provincially, the six million people in the GTA elected only one Conservative in the last election, while federally, Conservatives were swept clean, their support in some downtown ridings in single digits. Toronto’s supply of left-wing ideas is so voluminous it exports lunacy such as the Leap manifesto, making Toronto an arms depot in the war against fossil fuels. Faith in the goodness and expertise of the public sector is being shipped wholesale from Queen’s Park to Parliament Hill as Kathleen Wynne’s ideological stormtroopers move to the frontlines of policy-making in Justin Trudeau’s new government.
A basic tenet of Toronto liberalism is that all problems can be addressed by the public sector with the proper mix of data, analysis and bureaucratic oversight.”

  15. Of course. But if a Conservative would do the same thing, the Liberals would say he or she is too stupid to use a boat.
