One customer, who was legally carrying a concealed handgun, followed the robber into the parking lot because he was afraid for the safety of his wife, who was on her way to join him at the Waffle House…

SpaceX just launched their Dragon spacecraft for Commercial Resupply Mission 9 to the International Space Station, and once again successfully landed their first stage at Landing Zone 1 in Florida. I just watched the livestream, so there’s no video link to post yet.
For those keeping count, this is the fifth time SpaceX has successfully landed a first stage for an orbital mission. Eight months ago, nobody had ever done it even once.
Canada’s not far from this and we have our leftist elites to thank for it.
Those sorts of incidents are much less likely to happen in the USSA [or Western Canada], for the same reasons the Waffle House perp mentioned above got what he deserved. However Eastern Canada, especially the big cities like Toronto and Montreal, are much more like Europe. It’s only a matter of time before similar incidents happen there. Vancouver [aka. Hongcouver] not so much. The Chinese are far less tolerant of Muslime extremists than lieberal white Europeans. They consider Vancouver ‘theirs’ and they’re not going to tolerate some barbarian immigrant group screwing up their North American bridgehead. The same can be said of the East Indians. Neither group have any love for Muslimes.

You might be right about Vancouver. I haven’t lived there since I moved away over 35 years ago. Similarly, I can’t say much about Calgary as I lived there in the late 1970s.
Here in Edmonton, I’ve noticed the number of people openly wearing Islamic garb increasing over the last 15 years. For a while, we had lots of them living in my apartment complex, though they’ve largely been replaced by Chinese.
I know of one neighbourhood in the city where whites would be the visible minority. Oddly enough, it was originally built for white yuppies 40 years ago.
During those same 40 years, the city has become more ethnically diverse. One unfortunate consequence is that there’s been a corresponding increase in gang incidents, often believed to be related to the drug trade. The aforementioned neighbourhood would have a drive-by shooting at least once a month and this went on for several years.
There’s little mention of such incidents, but that might also be due to them being covered up by the MSM.
I’m sure it’s a matter of time before something more serious, perhaps related to jihad, will occur.

It’s a trick that I’ve seen managers use. Rather than make a decision which might be seen as unfavourable, they defer to a committee of advisors or a focus group which, of course, are stacked with people who hold the view of those same managers.
I saw that where I used to teach. The department head wanted to steer us in a certain direction and, rather than doing that himself and risking becoming unpopular, he deferred to an advisory committee which consisted of–you guessed it–people who thought like he did.
Right now, Red Rachel is doing the same thing. She clearly wants to destroy and dismantle the entire oil industry in Alberta. Rather than dirtying her hands with doing it herself, she has a committee of advisors who’ll do it for her. The head of that committee is Tzeporah Berman, a deranged environmentalist, whose extreme views out-Notley Notley.
These leaders make no decisions of their own, but pass the buck to these sycophantic advisors, none of whom are elected. Nice and convenient for them, don’t you think?
I’m watching PBS’s coverage of the Republican National Convention. I chose that channel as I thought it would be the least offensive of the ones I have access here at home–no Fox News, unfortunately.
