A few days ago I had dinner with some German ex-pats in Silicon Valley. The topic of Brexit arose and one woman was adamant that this vote wasn’t right. A fellow chimed in that there’s now a petition to have another vote to overturn the first one.
Elections have consequences. So do referendums. It seems that whenever Left-of-Centre folks (Democrats, Liberals, ‘Remain’ supporters) don’t get their way then they immediately throw out multiple disparagement cards about those who voted differently than them: Racists, Sexists, Idiots, Ignoramuses, etc. One wonders if they have any sense of self-awareness to realize how similar they sound to spoiled children.
Rex Murphy recently shared his thoughts on the subject:

I think Rex knows that and was using the word to describe one who is in tune with democracy.

Once again Rex cuts right to the core of the issue with his astute commentary. He is the only rational voice on the CBC. He serves a very useful function by by stating the truth of the matter and making the complacent libtards squirm.
Related- A few months ago, I started commenting on the lefty iPolitics.ca site. Of course, my commentary was reliably right-wing, and only occasionally condescending, depending on the intellect of the other commenters. There were actually a couple of good exchanges that could be called actual debate, but most are just the usual vacuous lefty crap that so many of them think constitutes wit. So many of them think that a factually incorrect rejoinder delivered with dose of smug and smarm is what passes for debate.
Anyways, a few weeks back I started to notice that my posts are getting scrubbed, and the same thing happened this morning. The first time it happened was when I called out the increasingly deranged Mike Harris for a factual error that could not have been a mistake, and again this AM the same thing has happened. It has happened a few times on other pieces, but I’m beginning to see a pattern here where actaul debate is not welcomed. Interestingly, their heading, for a while, had a line about “where freedom of speech is truly embraced” or something to that effect.
Again the lefty creed “freedom of speech for me, but not for thee.”
Just kind of interesting, I thought.
To call the pathetic boot licking claque who think they labour on the same level
as colossus Rex Murphy in Canadian media, “distorted visioned pygmies” is totally
unfair to pygmies.
An old communist slogan was “one man, one vote, one time”, because once we had achieved communist nirvana there wouldn’t be a need for elections anymore. I suspect that these people are of that opinion.
Anyone who understands how the EU works and still supports it is an enemy of civilization.

In short, Germany is officially screwed…and the only thing that could save them is, yes, a referendum vote, and massive deportation.
I’d love to take in the expressions when someone confronted them with that absolute truth. They’re likely to choke on their crème Brule.

It is interesting that the “journalist”, those that would like to social engineer a new man and the politicians are calling people stupid because people overruled them.
Those that are the “journalists” went to school for a long time, were told that they will change the world.
When you think about it going to school for a long time to be a “journalist” is mostly if not wholly money making enterprise of the universities to separate the wannabees from their cash.
A journalist must have a natural talent, it is impossible to learn it, just look at the “journalists” of today.
Much like your agent would like to play a musical instrument. Does not seem possible as much as one try and try and try all over again, it’s not working out. Could be some heavy self-criticism, though it is what it is.
Then you have those that want to reengineer yer fellow man. Those of course went to school for a long time to learn how to fool people with their sophistry and make loads of money. They could not care less about yer fellow man. They could not do it if their life dependent on it. It’s impossible.
Anyone that is married can possibly have a certain sense where the two let, let’s call them faults of the other, overlook those during the fierce love. There was also a plan to reengineer the other to undo the faults. The experience sez, can’t be done. You take it or leave it, can’t change the other person. Works much the same on the community scale, national scale and world scale.
Not that those useless people will not stop trying. Never.
Some say never say never. In this case it’s rock solid.
Then you have the politicians. The lowest form of human existence, must say here, it was not like that in earlier times. The only thing they are interested is to get reelected.
Of course they pay lip to the plebeians. They learn the syntax. They learn, they must have actual reeducation camp on this, how to completely and utterly ignore if plebeians object to their idiocy.
In all cases it is the urgent need for self-preservation to talk plebeians down. As it is, those three categories of freeloaders have nothing going for them. If they lose, it’s the food bank.
You may notice the exception of Farage. He is finished with what he set to accomplish in the big scheme of things, end of story.
Just watch the offers of employment to come in.

There is much wisdom in that one phrase. So often an argument from one of the proponents of such things as settled science etc. provide no facts to support their position, just the attitude of superiority. That phrase needs to be used often in reply in such encounters.

We field and elect conservative candidates with the intelligence and backbone to stand up to them. The CPC hasn’t got the cohones, and the lieberals have a more effective propaganda machine. It also helps that the lieberal eloi are so easily deceived.
People vote in elections and referendums with the trust that the decision — no matter which way it goes — will be abided by. That’s the deal.
To break that covenant is extraordinarily dangerous, for people no longer feel that they need follow the rules.
