Top suggestions on Trudeau government climate change policy portal slam it as a hoax
Throwing the climate-change policy doors wide open to public comment has been an interesting experiment for the new Liberal government in Ottawa, and Catherine McKenna considers it a resounding success — notwithstanding some sour notes.
“The IPCC (UN-sponsored scientific panel) has no evidence to support CO2 as the cause of global warming,” headlines one of the site’s most-viewed postings.
“Climate change a hoax,” asserts another.
“OILSANDS ABOUT TO TURN TABLES ON CLIMATE ALARMISTS!” shouts a third.
Nearly 3,000 Canadians have registered to participate on the interactive website, where visitors can publicly post their ideas for all to see and comment on. There have been some 2,400 ideas submitted to date, generating almost 4,500 comments, according to analytics provided on the site.
The naysayers are generating a lot of traffic.

Ignoring all laws of thermodynamics Doctor Fruitfly Suzuki now asserts the oceans are absorbing all the heat. It just gets better and better; the band just plays on.
Not to worry … the FOUR WORKING GROUPS … will thoroughly ERASE all contrarian (yellow star – deniers) comments in their final reports to boy-Trudeau
maybe these idiots should be forced to explain the actual science of the CO2 forcing, in scientific language.
It is obvious by the article that the opposite POV is not considered, they just want to “correct” the nay sayers

RECORD Maple syrup harvest … again.

Why ? Record COLD season … again
Take a look at the other categories besides the ones featured on the front page of the site: most submissions are either from interest groups or environmentalists pushing for a “faster” move to renewables. The suggestions on a carbon tax are particularly insightful; apparently Canadians just aren’t paying enough tax. This is pretend consultation, just like the pretend “fair” senate appointments by committee of lefties, just like the pretend review panel for the NEB decisions….the list goes on.
Yes, and be sure to add your full name and address, also your IP address, for the lawsuits that will one day follow.
Why else would they tolerate this dissent?
Australia Predicts Bigger Wheat Crop After Autumn Rainfall
Phoebe Sedgman
June 14, 2016 — 7:01 AM PDT
Australia increased its wheat production estimate by 3.6 percent after recent rainfall improved soil moisture in time for winter-crop sowing, citing nearly perfect conditions across most of the country’s wheat belt. The wettest May since 1983 eased drier-than-average conditions in growing regions. Production may be further buoyed by La Nina, which brings above-average winter and spring rainfall to eastern Australia.

It’s mid Juna and Vancouverites can see fresh snow on the North Shore Mountains today.
But that’s just … weather…

You are right about it being a “pretend” consultation. Much so political posturing. They will impose a carbon tax no natter hiw many oppose it. And they will clsim they consulted. This is like the IPPC who solicit submissions and and proceed to ignore anything that does not fit their agenda.
Cuz they’re so like into Gaia and stuff…

Provincial, territorial and federal governments are working together with Indigenous peoples and the public to shape Canada’s approach to climate change.
From looking at that site, it is obvious to me that the Liberals have no idea what they are doing — or why. This is a fine example of bureaucracy run amok. They will tax us to death and waste whatever revenues ensue creating huge bureaucracies and oppressive regulations that are likely to stifle the economy– for no real gain.
It is a subliminal way to raise the GST , acceptable to the great unwashed assuming they
are saving the planet.
Bureaucracies are like parasites. They exist to keep themselves alive and, ultimately, reproduce, but they’re careful not to kill the host that sustains them.
