  1. The comments at the CBC articles about this are hilarious. Stephen Harper didn’t spend on infrastructure, so it’s his fault was the general theme.

  2. This is another example of the horrors of global warming! Along with earthquakes and volcanoes, if we don’t impose massive carbon taxes, this will become a regular occurrence!
    Just think of how it would be if a huge sinkhole swallowed up the entire city of Ottawa and all the federal institutions within it!
    I AM still allowed to dream,am I not?

  5. “Giant sinkhole in Ottawa”, screamed the headline on the Reuters terminal in my office. My immediate reaction was, “This is news? It was ever thus.”

  6. Exactly! Ottawa has been a giant sinkhole for many decades. In fact ever since Lester Pearson.

  9. Truth be told, the latest one is only the third largest sinkhole in Ottawa being dwarfed by our Parliament and Senate.
    Perhaps one of Kate’s asteroids will save the day and fill the void.
