Blog Notes

I pulled into town about 11pm last night, and have a lot of catching up to do. Until that’s behind me, this pretty photo I took near Brantford, Ontario on Monday evening will have to do.

  1. Amazing picture. Kind of looks like the inexorable advance of Progressivism.

  2. Here in Alberta, we often see cloud formations like that during the summer. People start watching for tornadoes they they appear.

  3. The attached photo coincides with Hillary’s declaration of victory in the Democrat Primary.
    Oh ? This wasn’t a caption contest ?

  4. You know, that cloud formation has never formed west of Toronto on a June 8th before at the time the photo was taken… It must be global warming.

  5. Don’t know but it’s a dark and angry looking cloud which is what Ontario is under with the Wynne government. It’s getting more bleak by the day.

  6. Ain’t nothing pretty in Brantford…nothing but a town full of broke-dick losers.

  7. Nice shot.
Have seen these in Dryden before. They do look so ominous.
In eastern ON where we’re hitting an amazing 16.3C at our local just now, woo-hoo. 7 am it was 8C. Wood stove still warm from last nights use, still hoping for a return to summer.
Kate, if you stopped at all your readers places for coffee, you’d make it home this time next month. Not all who wander are lost. Cheers.

  8. Those are definitely global warming/climate change/extreme weather clouds.

  9. Wow! Nice shot is right. We drove that same location just three weeks ago.
Dano, you are mostly right. A city run by the NDP. My brother lived in Brantford, right along the river, until a year ago and would agree with you. He is a self employed finish carpenter and had to get his jobs mostly out of town.
Idd, we stayed at the Comfort Inn about two ago, for the second year in a row. Great little town. Thank goodness the Walmart is close. Although, try to find a pharmacy on a Sunday evening.

  10. Kate I’m guessing you were on the 403 and the time was around 6:00 or 7:00. If so we were only yards apart. I was right by the highway watching my grandson’s football practice, which was eventually called off due to lightning.

  12. I know, just figured she may have been coming from Toronto, who the hell goes to Hamilton:-)))

  13. Climate Change!
We need to raise taxes to stop the climate from changing!

  14. Brantford. Home of the Great One. And maybe the first telephone call ever made.

  15. Re: Clouds: Hell’s wrath is about to let loose on the sinners of Ontario. Repent, repent……………!!
Here in SW Sask, that type of cloud usually signals a plow wind!

  16. We had a thunderstorm here in the scott valley area in the State of Jefferson it rained and the temeture dropped 25 ti 30 degrees and our power was out from about 7:30 PM to about 3:15 AM when a tree broke down a wire
