  1. Check out the Kinder-Morgan pipeline protesters in BC, and how they deal with freedom of speech. Little do those poor souls realize that among them, are undercover cops (private) who appear on the outside as protesters, but who are in fact recording and filming every face in the crowd. They copy their plate numbers down, they know their home address etc. etc. I got the info from a retired oil executive who became a good friend. I would guess that Moore could be a private cop. Oil companies get what oil companies want. You don’t get to be Shell, Exxon or BP by being stupid.

  2. US News tomorrow
Can’t link directly to the decision, but the judge in the Obama Immigration Case in Texas absolutely excoriated the US DOJ Lawyers. Called them liars, and said he cannot disbar them, but he is issuing an order making them take ethics training, and revoking their right to practice in his jurisdiction.
I copied this from a comment at Legal Insurrection blog by cats cradle.
Federal Judge just slammed the Department of Justice
“Now, however, having studied the Government’s filings in this case, its admissions make one conclusion indisputably clear: the Justice Department lawyers knew the true facts and misrepresented those facts to the citizens of the 26 Plaintiff States, their lawyers and this Court on multiple occasions.”
“…hereby orders that any attorney employed at the Justice Department in Washington, D.C. who appears, or seeks to appear, in a court (state or federal) in any of the 26 Plaintiff States annually attend a legal ethics course.”
“The Court does not have the power to disbar the counsel in this case, but it does have the power to revoke the pro hac vice status of out-of-state lawyers who act unethically in court. By a separate sealed order that it is simultaneously issuing, that is being done”

    OUCH!

  3. Just finished listening to Brian Lilly’s podcast on Trudeau’s behaviour Wed. night. I was very surprised when a few obviously older ladies spoke of what they have perceived as Justin’s mental stability. A few saw it during the election campaign. Their comments were very interesting. A couple of them actually said he was mentally ill, which Brian had to immediately disagree with of course, but they didn’t back down. Thinking about it, I expect they could be right.

  4. Globe and Mail, Thursday, May 19. Former South African jurist Albie Sachs (who is in Toronto for a speech) waxes poetic over Canada’s seriously flawed Charter of Rights:
    http://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/judicial-influence-by-osmosis/article30087147/
Sachs: “In 1994, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms could not have been timelier for us, providing a decade of thoughtful, value-laden and finely honed judgments for us to look at. In our early years we devoured, interpreted and reinterpreted the decisions of the Dickson-Wilson court.”
The Brian Dickson – Bertha Wilson court was more interested in putting limits on our rights than in upholding them. Examples are the atrocities of Irwin Toy and the Keegstra / Andrews / Taylor trilogy. The Lamer and McLachlin courts have continued this “tradition”.
Section 1 of the Charter provides for limits on rights that can be “demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society”. The justices treated the section like a small boy would treat a toy fire truck on Christmas morning — they couldn’t stop playing with it.
Freedom of expression doesn’t exist after the likes of Ford and Devine, the aforementioned Irwin Toy and Keegstra group, Harper and Whatcott.
Freedom of association doesn’t exist after Lavigne, Advance Cutting and Coring and Health Services Sector.
Freedom of religion, thought, belief and conscience don’t exist after Jones in 1986 and S. L. and Loyola High, both within the past five years.
Plus we have the kangaroo court “human rights commissions” whose mandate is to violate genuine human rights without due process of law, and where intent is not even required to be found guilty. And we can be subject to the immense evil of retroactive legislation, outside the criminal context, with impunity.
These cases were not all decided by the same judge or group of judges. They took turns. The best one can say is that every judge on the Supreme Court of Canada has been Dr. Jekyll some days and Mr. Hyde others.
South Africa, you are well and truly f***ed.

  5. LOL. Lieing is not fascism. But “transforming the economy”, that is, conscripting the private sector to serve the State, like Trudolini has threatened to do, now that’s bona fide fascism. But it’s ok, right, because at least he’s not Harper?

  6. When a document like the Trudeau Charter is interpreted by the unelected Supreme Court to enact legislation passed in the elected House democracy is seriously watered down. The unelected are calling the shots and the government of the day run with their decisions. There is a Notwithstanding Clause in the Trudeau Charter, without which the Charter would not have been signed, but it’s rarely used, in fact it’s frowned upon as almost sacrilegious. This should be considered an affront to our democracy.

  8. It also should be pointed out the Prime Minister also sticks his tongue out at opposition members on occasion. Prior to foolish voters givint him and his party a mandate to run the country he called Peter Kent “a piece of $h!t”. Not exactly Prime Minister material then or now as his behaviour continues to be like that of a young brat.

  9. Public sector workers are the back bone of society! What would we do without them?!

  10. Gary Doer has been hired on by Power Corporation. Quelle surprise. Curiously a lot of people do not know about the Demerais and Power Corporation — and it’s tentacles into the Liberal Party.

  11. Liz;
Could Turdeau be genetically predisposed to mental health issues? Another avenue to consider is his likely use of ‘hash’ as a youth. Medical research has discovered a high incidence of learning disabilities and mental awareness.

  12. I am also concerned about Liberals reinstating the Court Challenges program which funded a bunch of leftist causes. If you wanted to challenge the Charter in a way that supported conservative causes, you were denied funding. Some recent challenges to mandatory minimums for gun and drug crimes have been sponsored by gangs. Would not surprise me if under Libs they get government funding. Talk about the unelected making our laws!

  13. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bipolar_disorder
I’ve been saying this since Justin entered the political realm. With his Mother’s bipolar affective disorder, Justin has a 17% probability of inheriting it.
He exhibits some of the classic symptoms, the latest exhibition in Parliament was much like his his yelling ,”you piece of shit” at Peter Kent in the House a few years back.
The more he’s stressed out,the more likely his medication will fail and he’ll continue to exhibit signs of his affliction.
    AND……………He’s our Prime Minister.

  15. Amid a massive frozen foods recall involving millions of packages of fruits and vegetables that were shipped to all 50 U.S. states, Canada and Mexico, authorities who want to stem the Listeria-linked illnesses and deaths worry it’ll be difficult to get consumers to dig through their freezers and check for products they may have bought as far back as 2014.
Also, the vegetables in the recall are typically cooked before they’re eaten, which would kill the bacteria.
It’s one of the largest food recalls in recent memory, with well over 400 products from CRF Frozen Foods in Pasco, Washington, sold under more than 40 different brand names at major retailers like Costco, Target, Trader Joe’s and Safeway.
The initial recall started April 22, covering 11 frozen vegetable products. On May 2, CRF expanded it to include all of its frozen organic and traditional fruit and vegetable products manufactured or processed at its Washington plant since May 1, 2014.
The FDA and CDC have developed a system to track the genetic makeup of salmonella, Listeria and E.coli. Once a food-related illness outbreak is identified, scientists can match the DNA from contaminated food with the bacteria making people sick and potentially trace it to the originating food processing plant.

  16. The media including newspapers are an entertainment product with content edited to appeal to the demographic their advertisers wish to reach. Why would you be “concerned about a newspaper spreading a lie.” ? Truth is only a small component of the entertainment product they produce.
If you’re looking for truth then you’ll have to do the research yourself from a variety of sources cross checked for validity of information.
If you’re looking for entertainment then select the media source that best confirms your preconceived notions. That’s what most sheeple do.

  18. LindaL, it’s been going on since Papa Trudeau was the guy wearing the rose in his lapel, buddy buddy with Fidel and doing a pirouette behind the Queen in a mocking gesture. His son has some of his traits but not the brain to handle them. The disgusting display in our HOC by Junior is only the beginning, small potatoes compared to what we’re in for as they arrogantly enact whatever they damned well please.

  20. A small though symbolic victory; another brick from the wall of Laurentian statism.
If voters actually think about their electoral rights more than four seconds, before being told by the PM and the CBC what to think, we can stop PR too.

  21. If the LSM (Lame Stream Media) had vetted PM Selfie in the election campaign he would have shown his penchant of the Trudeau Tantrum earlier and people could have adjudicated his readiness for the job when it mattered.

  22. O.K. This is Scary!
Clearly the Dilbert reference to Elbonia is to Canada. The Dictator of Elbonia is really: Trudeau! Look at the analogy — Elbonia’s major export is mud. Canada’s major export is oil which is produced using a lot of drilling mud. http://dilbert.wikia.com/wiki/Elbonia .
No wonder Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert, was able to prophesied the rise of Donald J. Trump. His penultimate prophetical achievement was the early prophesy that PM Selfie would be the Dictator of Elbonia. He was talking about Canada all along. OMG!!!!! The only thing he didn’t get quite right is the spelling; It should be spelt: Elbownia!!!
All bow and make way for the Dictator of Elbownia.

Mega-corp Who Knowingly Infected Thousands of Children With HIV Wants to Purchase Monsanto
Bayer AG, a company that knowingly infected thousands of children with HIV, is exploring purchasing its competitor, agrichemical giant Monsanto, unidentified and unverified individuals told Bloomberg. Uniting two of the world’s most hated companies, the deal could potentially be a boon for Monsanto, whose sales have tanked significantly recently as the global market continues to scoff at its pesticide, herbicide, and genetically-engineered seed empire.

  24. Gellen: I’m so glad you brought that up!! How could he be stable having been wrought by Pierre and Margaret?? Have you ever seen anyone else doing pirouettes in front of Queen Elizabeth?? Have you ever seen another PM’s wife sitting on the sidewalk flashing her kitten at passing cars??
I saw that more than once during the campaign. And just look at his reasoning when he refused to let Russian water bombers come into Fort Mac. And there is a reason why all of my comments (with regards to Trudeau’s outburst) on CBC.ca were deleted, and all within two days. That has never happened before. I think there’s a major cover up and the CBC are in full protection mode so the story doesn’t get out!!
