Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
At least one premier is standing up for Canadians.
Wow.
Contrast this with the three ring circus at the Federal level.
Uhh ….im moving to saskatchewan…alberta has a fork in it for at least a decade.
Who said that? MR.Wall?
I grew up in a small town in which, at that time, the major businesses were farming and oil and went to school with people whose families were associated with them. I bet that none of the over-educated, under-brained commie elitist politicians working with Red Rachel and Prime Minister Selfie know what a farm looks like or have even been close to an oil refinery or gas plant.
But they are the ones who know what’s best for me. I guess first-hand knowledge would impair their “unbiased” judgement, right?
Outstanding!
Go Saskatchewan…finally someone says it as it is in this convoluted politically correct world. I have a lot of respect for Brad Wall as I did for Stephan Harper. Both are leaders who are not afraid to take a position and give recognition to the hardworking Canadians that make this country prosperous.
I agree completely with your assessment of Wall and Harper. And if people do not see the guiding hand of the globalist, one-world government masters steering policies of the Liberals in Ottawa, Wynne, Notley, and some municipal leaders such as Nenshi and Gregor . . . they are hopelessly out of touch. All of the irrational greenie, carbon tax, etc. is part of a broader plan for world government. The Canadian Federal government no longer serves Canadian interests.
The province of Saskatchewan is the worlds largest exporter of food in many areas, lentils, canola, mustard seed to name just three. The freight on these crops are paid by the growers of these crops to get them to market but I will be Damned if we should also have to pay a tax on them that should be charged to the purchaser of the commodities. Oil, natural gas and coal should be treated the same. I hope that Premier Wall fights for this also.
You tell’em Brad! Makes me actually think about moving back to Saskabush given the policies being inflicted on the people of Alberta by the toxic freedom hating over-regulating always taking NDP Gov’t.
It’s about being fair, honest, accountable, moral and smart. The qualities Brad Wall displays should be the prerequisites of all our leaders. Sadly since Harper’s exit he’s holding the light up by himself.
To bad the Notley Dictator Party (NDP) of Alberta do not feel the same way. Notley only gives `lip service`towards oil, gas, farming and social issues … 80% of the advisors are out-of-province and the rest are the NDP voted into power are: anti-oil, anti coal powered generators, anti-nonunion workers, anti-pipeline, anti-farmers who do not support Bill 6,enviroMENTALists and commonsense such as those opposing Bill 10.
One can see a premier who actually cares about their citizens … and Brad seems to fulfill that – this does not mean that he does not make mistakes, yet he speaks up.
There are some who have criticized Brad Wall for being too slow when it comes to implementing conservative policies. Saskatchewan is much like any place else in the world where moving too far and too fast to the right of the political spectrum will get you unelected in a hurry. Mr. Wall has finally succeeded in putting to rest the ridiculous boogeyman of the “hidden agenda” that was so steadfastly utilized by the lefties in a vain attempt to unseat him. The premier deserves much credit for having the cajones to speak up for this province and basically tell its detractors to f*ck off. Can you imagine such talk coming from the likes of Notley? Wynne? It is indeed refreshing to witness a politician not emasculated by political correctness.
My Gods.. Leadership.
Let the hate fest begin.
I am sure the normal mouth-pieces will either not report this throne-speech or write 8 pages of fact free platitudes insisting that Saskatchewan has it wrong.
Just like Environment Canada, “Their science says”, never mind reality.
When Western Canada separates, we will need a “safe place” for the hysterical ones.
Either ship them east, or a nice asylum on some High Arctic Island.
All the crusted on parasites, we will ship straight to Ottawa, where they can demonstrate their inherited superiority over mere taxpayers, to their hearts content.
We need a LIKE button … so many great ideas presented and comments I agree with.
Are they hard to add to comments.
Bold colors!
“moving too far and too fast to the right of the political spectrum will get you unelected in a hurry.”
“moving too far and too fast to the right of the political spectrum will get you unelected in a hurry.”
Please tell me where this was tried…and I will beleave you…
If you beleave that a “conservative” approach to government will reap the most rewards for the most people and it is the approach that will give the highest level of freedom to the most people. If you beleave that capitalism (property rights) has more validity than the collectivist approach to organizing an economy and society…why go slow??
Harper proved to you that this is not a good long term plan.
And please don’t give Wall accolades for doing the same. He has allowed the leftists to go on unabated in the area of “planning” . Trampling all over property rights in the interests of the greater community.
It is corruption, it erodes the ability of individuals to do what is in their best interests and passed off as helping and aiding the community etc etc.
If Wall really believed that individuals mattered more than the state he would revisit the 2009 “Property and Development Act” (NDP) legislation. Amend it and beef up the rights of property owners.
I challenge you Brad. Property rights, Faith, and Rule of Law is what made the western world great. Not government!
Sask. is directly analogous to the California Central Valley … which FEEDS the USA, and much of the world, with everything from Lettuce, to Livestock. However, it might as well be an island cut adrift from the LEFT-ist coastline. Its representation is silenced in the CA Senate and Assembly, drowned-out by the Socialist apparatchiks elected on the coast. The governor LIVES there in the capitol Sacramento … but he defecates on the people and business of the central valley.
California TRIED to dump their idiotic LEFTist government when they elected Arnold Swartzenegger … but he turned out to be a gumby of the left. Maleable, and concerned more about “Global Warming” than rational thought. Ahnold was elected SOLELY because LEFTist Gov. Gray Davis tried to DOUBLE everyone’s auto registration fees. There are some UNTOUCHABLE things that not even a hardcore Marxist DARE touch. Californians AUTOMOBILES is one of those things.
But the LEFT has learned their lesson. Now they are more stealthy, and clever in the way that they “transform” our lives into a living HELL. Now, they boil the frog slowly, with “modest” increases in water, energy, gasoline, fees, and tolls. A little here, a little there … until you are suddenly paying 50% of your income in Taxes and Fees. Slowly and surely you watch as State government employees receive gold-plated pensions that are … UNfunded. Unfunded, so the LEFTist government treasurer can HIDE the RED INK in Jerry Browns budget. But we SUFFER from these unfunded government giveaways … as more and more gas tax is diverted from Roads and Highways … into ever growing Billion dollar pension payouts. Fewer and fewer roads are built and maintained … while GREEDY leftist Cal Trans workers retire at age 52 making 90% of their highest SPIKED salaries for the rest of their lives. Literally MILLIONS more dollars than they every EARNED are paid out in the lifetime retirement benefits. Jerry promised to rehabilitate the pensions … he’s done NO SUCH THING. He is an OLD, dying, hardcore LEFTIST who is trying to do as much damage as Obama … before he leaves office and goes to shrivel up and DIE !!!
I predict that CA is going to elect President Trump … because even the Peninsula Techies are wising-up to the DESTRUCTION our LEFTIST politicians have wreaked on our country and our Golden State. Enough is ENOUGH !!
For then notley bashers remember what the pc’s did since ralph left.
This should be made into a poster to pin up on community bulletin boards, glued to power poles not to mention be sent to every province in Canada to post there. It might bring in some high quality immigrants to the province and convince those who questioned whether Brad Wall was the best choice as Premierthat, yes he was.
A good solid conservative defense of the obvious. Why there is even a need for such a speech is why our civilization stands on the brink of collapse.
Meanwhile, Ontario PC leader Patrick “Tiger” Brown will speak next week to a group of gay, lesbian and transgender Vancouver Tories about equality and how it doesn’t matter who you love. The very next day, he will speak to another group, telling them that climate change is a threat, man-made, and he’s got a solution to combat it. Seriously. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/patrick-brown-bringing-progressive-stance-to-ontario-pcs/article30072406/
Every time I hear the name Patrick Brown, I just start humming…

Right Rob. Best choice. But no one should consider him a conservative. He’s a liberal if he refuses to role back regulations that the NDP have shackled all types of business and individuals with when excersising their wishes on their own property.
If the collective don’t like your neighbors plans for HIS property then fine. Make him “whole” and buy him out.
We have RM’s regulating property owners in numerous ways and in so doing making them poorer.
All based on fear, loathing and envy. To quote John Gormly. And this…from the sask party!
Agreed that Mr. Wall is no conservative, and furthermore the SP is not “conservative” except to the greens and their fellow travellers. Or perhaps someone could explain how mixing “Progressive Conservatives” and “Liberals” creates a party that crosses the line into center-right territory.
Started when Stockwell Day was Finance Minister. Got worse from there.
“…The Canadian Federal government no longer serves Canadian interests.”
Government of the people, by the government, for the government.
There are always contrary individuals, but overall the bureaucracy promotes and assists whichever government best serves the bureaucracy, and the politicians promote and, with taxpayers’ money, bribe the bureaucracy to assist them in securing and retaining power so they can promote their own and their supporters’ interest.
So who should we have voted for, you bright lights who can’t even spell correctly?
Common sense push back like the above excerpt is long overdue.
The Saskatchewan throne speech may be the sign that the vacant enviro-PC platitudes droned by the likes of Obama, Wynn, Trudeau and Notley are finally being seen as shallow posturing, and answered by someone who has thought about improving people’s lives.
We call Saskatchewan “God’s Country” not just because it is so naturally wonderful here, but because people look out for each other.
Brad Wall should be Prime Minister.
He is no conservative …but we are part of his base. If he ignores us his government will fall to the same fate as the Alberta PC,s.
Some High Arctic Island? I say put’em on Kodiak Island mount live cameras all over and watch the bears hunt ’em for sport. I know, it’s an American Island, but perhaps a President Trump will allow Saskatchewan to do so as part of a new kind of reality show. Would be a YUGE draw, n’cest-ce pas? 🙂
