  1. The left wants to obliterate everything associated with the past that does not meet their SJW criteria. John Wayne and others of the past, right or left, had foibles just like the rest of us have today. Wayne certainly was right about the anti-communist House Un-American Activities Committee. Progressives (communist)have infiltrated and taken over almost all institutions.
To the left history started either yesterday or on October 1917. No doubt these nay sayers would have no problem with a Che Guevara Day.

  2. Just another well-intentioned deed sacrificed on the altar of political correctness. No doubt those legislators who cast a nay vote will sleep well knowing, in their own little minds that they were part of a major accomplishment. Just what they accomplished is known only to them, but no matter. It doesn’t take much for a self-righteous fool to feel satisfaction.
Personally I don’t think John Wayne, wherever he is now, really gives a sh*t.

  3. Karma is such a b*tch.
Who knew Nero would get diced and multiplied before being reincarnated?
Frank Zappa’s “Flakes” seems appropriate as a theme song for these kleptocrats.

  4. If left to the natives and mexicans, we would all be living in wigwams and caves. Why don’t these SJW politicos live in caves, and show everybody by example how superior they are?

  5. My favourite John Wayne quote;
“Life is tough, but it’s even tougher if you’re stupid.”

  6. “I believe in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility.I don’t believe in giving authority and positions of leadership and judgment to irresponsible people” – Wow, he even anticipated Hussein Obama!

  7. “I believe in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility. I don’t believe in giving authority and positions of leadership and judgment to irresponsible people,” he told the magazine
I guess JW wouldn’t have voted for Obama.
That said, it’s a Leftist trope that people can be “educated” out of their cultural behavior.

  8. They should have pointed out that his real name was Marion and honoured him as a transgender. But it’s ironically fitting that he is honoured in Texas but not in California.
These Democrats that are so deeply offended by his remarks from decades ago weren’t even alive then.

  9. So anyone whose favorite snack isn’t quiche with latte will never be honoured again. We give the Order of Canada to Morgentaler who killed tens of thousands of babies. But not Don Cherry because he believes that Swedish and the modern crop of French Canadian hockey players are pansies. Being punished for the truth, maybe he should kill a few babies to clinch it.

  10. Wayne died in 1979,so most of ,no,ALL of today’s generation haven’t a clue as to who he was.
The politician should suggest a “Caitlyn Jenner Day”, just for the hell of it. Bet it’d be approved by a huge majority.

  11. What else can we ever expect from a state that opens its borders to illegal aliens wants guns confiscated and has a stupid celebration for Butterflies(Pacific Grove)I live in whats we call the STATE of JEFFERSON Southern Oregon and Northern California becuase were getting tied of Moonbeam and his fellow Dem-A-Rats and a state(Mexifornia) that allows for Dope as a medicine

  12. “But it’s ironically fitting that he is honoured in Texas but not in California.”
Not true. John Wayne Airport in Orange County.

  13. Bobby Kennedy was a star player on the HUAC team which tends to get swept under the rug now by leftists.
Kerry had advisors with better seismographs who quickly got him out of JFK war hero mode in Vietnam and
into his prototype of a (pre billionaire) antiwar flake role which works well among the goofs to this day.
