A group of prominent scientists have united for an odd quest: to reduce funding for science education. They’ve joined with environmental groups and progressive activists to demand that hundreds of museums of science and natural history “cut all ties with the fossil fuel industry and funders of climate science obfuscation,” which means rejecting donations or investment dividends from anyone who doesn’t meet their standard of purity.

Didn’t take long to find out that these stooges are behind this.
What most people don’t realize is that the entire “scientific consensus” around climate change is in reality a very small number of extremely politicized, and extremely evil socialist scumbags (Mann being the worst example — see Mark Steyn) who are highly energetic at threatening the careers of any of their colleagues who dare question the orthodoxy.
They don’t go far enough. They need to either urge all taxation be removed from all levels of the production, transport, and sales of fossil fuels or that all government spending be listed as sourced by fossil fuels.
If we can get that passed then they’re off the public teat, because no government will ever pass up on taxing successful business.

I was going to post this to reader Tips, but it’s most appropriate for this thread. This article clearly shows the politics of scientists and how much damage that can do to us.
These are the modern versions of inquisitors defending their green theology while going after non-believers and oily demons. In a world without carbon-based energy, unless mostly nuclear and or hydro-powered with completely electrified transportation, they would find themselves in third world poverty where not only would there be little funding for pseudo-scientist-kings, they would either starve or toil at subsistence agriculture all of their waking and short lives.
These parasites are engaging in the anti-industrial revolution, the fruits of which created their prosperity, allowing them to destroy the potential for all those that follow.

It must drive these people crazy when they sit down to watch Nova on PBS and they see this:

The true believers want the infidels silenced. They must not blaspheme the one true religion of Global Warming.

Find themselves in Third World poverty? Nope. What they want is that *their* little circle of elitists remain warm and well-fed. Meanwhile, the *rest of us* are the ones who are poor but who, despite such economic circumstances, are permitted to freely toil long hours to keep them in their comfortable circumstances.
