Outside of the usual suspects, do you ever see the media take a critical look at the economics of solar and wind? Not regurgitating wind and solar industry idealism and hopes for future technological breakthroughs but a realistic look at dispatchability, efficiency, wholesale vs. retail prices, lifespan, costs and footprints of dispersed power, the social cost of expensive electricity or if wind and solar are actually even CO2 neutral when you include necessary backup power. How about the problems with cap and trade? But, remember, the media are not biased. Fossil fuel = bad. Solar and wind = good. No debate allowed.

Do realize that Bernie is there to make it seem not like an acclamation of HIllary. It must seem like an actual fight and not a coronation. Then Hillary can say, “Look, there are so many in our party inspired by socialism, I must lean more towards socialism to make them happy.” Her super-delegates pretty much ensure her win. This is all theatre; don’t buy it.

I see Hillary has resorted to shout downs of Bernie, as JT did (same advisors eh), speaking over with speeches during Harper’s allotted time. If I were in those shoes, I would simply finish what I was saying, and the second my opponent started to speak, do it back to them, then when the Crowley press tries to shut me up, let them have it, tell them they’ve lost control and are obviously biased and thus unprofessional, so they should clean up their act.
I say this because, presuming Trump gets the GOP nomination, Hillary will no doubt use the same tactic she uses on Bernie and JT used on Harper. I believe he will handle it something like described above. Of course it will be his fault, remember his tone “causes” violence.

Talked with some fellow Canucks today. It started when they expressed concerns that Trump would do something rash if elected. I’ll give full marks for the media brainwash program but I asked why would a businessman who has spent a lifetime making calculated moves and deals would do something rash. Crickets. I also asked if anyone had ever seen the Harper “secret agenda”, again silence. Somehow, the rabble that cause havoc at Trump meetings are incited to riot because of words. Kind of like blaming a rape victim because she wore something that was just asking for it.

I would go further, since capitalism is about taking risks and being rewarded, if the game is fixed by access to bailouts and other perks, then crony capitalism is not capitalism simply because of the removal of the risk element. Since one is playing with the house money, they are business socialists, once described years ago as “corporate welfare bums,” with Bombardier at the top of the list here.
When capitalists or others “cheat,” aka break the law, they should be prosecuted, not be allowed to skate for political contributions or fines of less than their ill gotten booty.
