  1. This is very scary
The trojan horse of the Paris climate agreement
The Paris Agreement demands that nation states acknowledge explicitly that their efforts are inadequate, while setting them up for failure, thus changing the political environment in which climate policy is made. The ambition-obligation disparity creates a large arena for climate activism at international and national levels, effectuating a transfer of power, or at least of influence, that is inconsistent with the fundamental principles of constitutional government. If the collective efforts appear to fall short of achieving the Paris Agreement’s objectives, the judiciary is likely to be dragged into climate policy-making. Climate action groups or executive governments supporting ambitious action will charge the body politic with impotence, declare “government failure,” and seek the help of the courts to get governments to “do the right thing.” To support their claims, they can invoke the admissions and objectives set out in the Paris Agreement.

  4. Jamie Gorelick sighting!
She is representing Rahm Emanuel and the Chicago Police in their “police are icky” lawsuit. Expect a record payout from the Chicago Taxpayers via the Chicago Democrat Machine to the leadership of the most loyal Democrat Constituency.

“At Least 9 Killed in Snowstorm-Related Deaths”
“At least nine people have been killed in accidents as a snowstorm pounds the eastern part of the U.S. Some details of the deaths:”
“A massive nor’easter blanketed the eastern part of the U.S. Saturday in what could be a historic storm for Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and New York.
Meteorologists forecast 20 – 25 inches of snow to fall in the region of Washington, D.C., and Baltimore. If the nation’s capital surpasses 28 inches of snow, it would be the city’s largest snowfall on record.
New York City was forecast to have 15 – 20 inches of snow fall as officials declared a winter weather emergency. If New York City surpasses 21 inches of snow, it would be the city’s third greatest snowfall on record.”

“JT’s actions have jeopardized the safety of Canadians traveling world wide. We are not considered to be a first world nation anymore. Things will get hot for us if Trump gets in. If Obama can’t tolerate JT I hate to think what Trump will do.”

  8. ‘My brother is still there keeping the faith he is 58’
I’ll bet he doesn’t bob up and down on his knees with his legs splayed behind like that? That is hard on your knee joints.

  9. I have a picture in my mind of a Trulander wetting himself and cowering in shock as Putin flashes him and says “This is how big a Mig 21 is.”

  10. So, o
++++++++++++ne Kathleen Wynne, Premier of Ontar-iowe, did not know Algonquin College operating in Saudi Arabia allowed men only? Geeze, I knew that, read it a long time ago. I’ll file that one under “believe it or NOT”! If she thinks she can do anything about it, good luck with that.

  11. For some reason I thought of a cute bit from the Simpsons.
The time when nothing was going to keep Homer from his art form(part of a travelling rock & roll show involved Homer taking a cannonball in the stomach)
Veterinarian: Mr. Simpson, this is serious. If you take one more cannonball to the gut, you will die.
    Homer:
Die? Well, you don’t scare me, doc, ’cause dying would be a stone groove.

  12. Trudeau’s Whynning formula, borrow yourself rich, after all interest rates are low right now. Besides a structural deficit of $25B isn’t such a bad thing, we’ve never had issues with hitting debt walls. We just got through finally retiring of all his daddy’s debt, (notionally anyway-it’s opportunity cost is immeasurable), now he wants to start again pushing that snowball down that debt slope. Too bad for him, actually us, the boomers are now old not young, and we are heading into low growth not an economic boom, which PET still managed to leverage out enough productivity to eventually debt choke the nation.
Federal debt service costs were around $30b last year, with very low rates. At the height of the last time we had to finally deal with a debt run up, the 90/91 federal debt service charges were around $40b, with four fold higher rates, at about $60b is today’s C$.
Why is it seen as visionary by our idiostocracy to spend & waste vast sums of borrowed taxpayer dollars supporting patronage, statist politics? Government is a drag on productivity, but when limited, can facilitate growth. Right now the best thing they can do is get out of the way.
Trudeau thinking they, in their infinite/nonexistent wisdom can overcome market forces and human behaviour is the problem. We had a problem with the same name decades ago but we may not be up for that kind of economic damage.
    Here we go again.

  13. Absolutely cool ! As was every other coopted American music style by the Brits (read: Blues). However, while the movement may be gone, it is not dead. Amy Winehouse has described her greatest musical influence as coming from her brothers obscure American Soul and R&B records. As with all Brits, she reinterpreted that music into something even greater than its origins. Oh, WAIT … Amy’s DEAD ! Oh well, maybe the movement IS DEAD ?

  14. BTW … I have a simple solution to the “racist” Acadamy Awards. They should simply give EVERY Actor, Actress, Film, Producer, Costumer, Sound Engineer, etc. … a “Participant” Trophy. Then, NOBODY will be left out, feel inadequate, or be sad about their performance in any way. My children’s Soccer league adopted this method to boost the self esteem of ALL the little soccer Urchins in our league. The Acadamy can boost the self esteem of EVERY black “participant” by giving EVERYONE a trophy. After all, hasn’t Hollywood “evolved” beyond all this “superiority” award nonsense ? How can they DARE to deem one performance as “better” than another ?
