  2. I think O’Leary is what the Conservatives need right now. He’s nobody’s fool, the media will know that and act accordingly. He’s not to be compared to Trump, that’s a media attempt at defining him. Trump is a trail blazer, he’s speaking truths the tight assed PC crowed can’t handle but he’s getting it out there.
The Conservative movement needs a booster shot. Losing an election to an unprepared Liberal Party with Justin Trudeau as front man is all the proof we need. Every time we see Goodale, McCallum and Dion out front we know they really are in deficit from the slate of elected MP’s for people with experience needed to run the country.

  3. Well no, Liz. The Liberal Party were very prepared. They had the very best US Democrat Party advisers to help them.

  6. O’Leary says he’ll create jobs, Ambrose wants to represent taxpayers – if the Conservatives want to speak for small and diminishing constituencies they’ll never get elected.
The majority of voters want money, yours. If you have to be taxed more that’s fine with them, and the majority knows that jobs are for suckers.

  7. “jobs are for suckers”
Exactly right Philanthropist. Look at this story – guy worked 3 jobs to pay off his mortgage in 3 years and gets vilified by CBC commenters.
Sean Cooper pays off mortgage in 3 years and earns online hate
When Sean Cooper burned his mortgage papers after going to extremes to pay off his house in three years, he never imagined it would get folks so fired up.
But after CBC News reported Cooper’s story late last year, reader comments flooded the internet, either praising or reviling the 30-year-old’s financial achievement.

  8. Yes, as well as an eager and enabling Mass Media Machine ready to carry the water and attack, attack, attack the CPC relentlessly, regardless of the truth, or the endless false promises of PM to be Selfie Care Bear.
That said, the CPC ran a poor campaign, and did not hit back at the endless lies of the Liberals, nor did they try hard to capture the imagination of Canadians, required to tip the scales of victory.
Can you say DULL? The CPC earned the loss. Mind you, it has left Selfie and his fartcatchers in a viper den of issues, and all they have is a wet hanky to defend themselves.
And how does the Fib party respond? Finance Minister goes to UCalgary, to “feel their pain” and show their concern…..university students…..embarassing, Liberals already cannot face the real electorate, those that have been paying taxes and are feeling the real brunt of the Alberta Recession.

  9. `The CPC earned the loss.` I disagree with this. The CPC loss was a well orchestrated campaign by leftist activists. They were helped out by international money and (of course) a hostile media. An anti-conservative narrative was put out there and pushed relentlessly. That much of it was false does not seem to have concerned the media. An example I often use to illustrate this point has to do with the `snitch line` for neighbors to report on Muslim wrongdoing. It was in fact a help line for victims that some immigrant women`s groups had been requesting for years. It was also part of a broader initiative to deal with the mis-treatment of women by groups like Boko Haram. I cannot recall a single media outlet bothering to investigate this misinformation or provide context. The anti-science claim was another totally false narrative. And, of course, the big Liberal promise to bring in 25000 Syrian immigrants before the end of the year — deliberately misleading, totally undoable and put out there just to make Conservatives look mean spirited and bigoted. Unfortunately there are enough LIV`s in Canada that tactics like this can be very effective. I believe CPC did counter as best they could, but it was a losing battle from day one. People simply bought into a false narrative — and now they will pay for it with that effete aristocratic know-nothing now at the helm. Among other things, I think Canada will be handed over to the globalists before the Liberal term is up. And of course, in the short term, all those favoured special interest groups (e.g. unions, natives) are once again favoured and do not have to concern themselves with the broader public interest with things like financial transparency. Canada will lose ground in a multitude of ways (sinking economy, increased crime, joblessness, immigration problems etc.) over the next several years and the easily duped Canadian voters have only themselves to blame.

“Now and then giant ocean creatures wash up on beaches in a horrible mess. At Kalaeloa Airport on Oahu (Hawaii) a similar but aerial creature has washed up in an airport hangar. It’s the Solar Impulse 2, a solar-powered plane with a wingspan nearly as long as an Airbus A380’s. But it weighs rather less than a Toyota Land Cruiser and has so far cost its sponsors about $US250 million.
It was meant to fly around the world – without using a drop of fossil fuel – from March to August last year.”
“But there’s more. To keep this gossamer confection airborne, an Ilyushin 76 strategic airlifter flies ahead with a blow-up hangar and all the high-tech servicing gear. Aviation buffs call the airlifter a ‘bad-ass’, not just because of its ugly nose and four droopy jets, but because its takeoffs are real Russian screamers. Once aloft, it burns eight tons of CO2-spewing avgas per hour.
This behemoth is accompanied by a twin-turboprop ATR72 which can carry a support crew of up to 60, apart from the dozens left at Monaco mission control. The ATR burns a more modest tonne of fuel per 90 minutes.
With these two little helpers, the solar plane flies (half) around the world ‘without using a drop of fuel’.”
