  1. A Fable:
Once upon a time there was a king who wanted to go fishing.
He called the royal weather forecaster and enquired as to the weather forecast for the next few hours.
The weatherman assured him that there was no chance of rain in the coming days.
So the king went fishing with his wife, the queen. On the way he met a farmer on his donkey. Upon seeing the king the farmer said, “Your Majesty, you should return to the palace at once because in just a short time I expect a huge amount of rain to fall in this area”.
The king was polite and considerate, he replied: “I hold the palace meteorologist in high regard. He is an extensively educated and experienced professional. And besides, I pay him very high wages. He gave me a very different forecast. I trust him and I will continue on my way.” So he continued on his way.
However, a short time later a torrential rain fell from the sky. The King and Queen were totally soaked and their entourage chuckled upon seeing them in such a shameful condition.
Furious, the king returned to the palace and gave the order to behead the weatherman at once!
Then he summoned the farmer and offered him the prestigious and high paying role of royal forecaster.
The farmer said, “Your Majesty, I do not know anything about forecasting. I obtain my information from my donkey. If I see my donkey’s ears drooping, it means with certainty that it will rain.”
So the king hired the donkey.
And so began the practice of hiring asses to work in the government and occupy its highest and most influential positions.

  2. Obama’s complaining about the indiscriminte sale of guns to anyone in Chicago. Instead of addressing the supply, perhaps he should address the demand. Besides, I suspect that if these gunbuyers vote, they probably vote Democrat.

  5. fascinating how such a demo can clarify the huge overriding factors of an entrenched chronic situation.
I once asked the local Lieberal MP what measures, what audits or followup, was being done to make sure Cdn foreign aid to Ahfricah was making a difference.
2 years later, still no answer from his office staff. they then tried the tactic of claiming they had no record of me posing the question despite showing up about a dozen times or more over the course of those 2 years.
whereupon I let out a sigh, and told them I would write out ALL the questions I had asked in that time including the one about foreign aid. at that, the c**t b*t*h behind the counter threatened to have me charged with trespassing.
This was during paul martin’s reign. I never did get an answer. maybe I should pop into the present newly minted Lieberal MP and start the clock once again.
    Lieberals all.

“According to an eyewitness interview by Dozhd, one woman caught in the storm was bringing home a newborn child from a maternity ward in Orenburg, a southern Russian city near the Ural River and the border with Kazakhstan.
“Just think of sitting there and watching the fuel gauge fall lower and lower, and in your arms is a small baby,” the eyewitness told Dozhd. “Naturally, I started calling every rescue service, telling them that they’d find the video I’d recorded showing how everything happened if we died out there.”
Tatiana Samoilova, a spokesperson for Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations in Orenburg told Dozhd that a full crew of rescuers were immediately alerted and dispatched to the scene after the first distress calls started coming in. Motorists were unable to see them due to low visibility during the storm, she said, according to Meduza.”

  9. Yes, this is scary. It just invites planting incriminating stuff on kids. Also I think terrorism can easily be adopted by those 12 and up. This directive seems quite foolish to me.

“For the purpose of this exercise let’s look at parts of The Washington Post‘s 2008 endorsement of Obama. I am using the Post as an example of what we saw so frequetly because even though the Post is a liberal paper, its editorial position regarding foreign policy is generally responsible. However in the Post’s enthusiasm for Obama, all caution was disregarded and they promoted a man who did not really exist.”

  15. Smoking gun?
“The latest batch of Hillary Clinton emails released by the State Department early Friday contain what may be the smoking gun that forces the Justice Department to charge the former secretary of state with a crime, according to former federal prosecutor Joseph diGenova.
‘This is gigantic,’ said diGenova. ‘She caused to be removed a classified marking and then had it transmitted in an unencrypted manner. That is a felony. The removal of the classified marking is a federal crime. It is the same thing to order someone to do it as if she had done it herself.’
On the June 17, 2011, email chain with senior State Department adviser Jake Sullivan, Clinton apparently asked Sullivan to change the marking on classified information so that it is no longer flagged as classified.”

“And it was here the penny really dropped for me about the change in Europe, when I read the sentence that the French prime minister, Manuel Valls, let slip to foreign-newspaper reporters as he warned that France must prepare for more attacks: “We have forgotten,” he said, “that history is fundamentally tragic.”
Such fatalism is extremely rare among modern European politicians. Ever since the European movement began, in the 1940s, spearheaded by Robert Schuman and Jean Monnet, the basic operating principle of the project and its leaders has been an almost cultish optimism.”

“Sponsors seeking homes for Syrian refugees instead find closed doors”
“For retired librarian Sandra Onufryk, finding affordable rental housing for the Al Balkhi family – Syrian refugees she helped privately sponsor – meant stepping into the Greater Toronto Area’s red-hot real estate market and experiencing the bitter sting of disappointment.
She called 15 landlords around Oakville, Ont. – an area west of Toronto with a vacancy rate hovering around 1.6 per cent.
The conversations started off well. “And then when I mentioned seven people and Syrian refugees, the tone changed. So we didn’t even go and look,” she said.”
