  1. Stunningly brilliant, Mark Steyn. You truly have a gift for words and hopefully will see justice done before they bleed you dry.

  2. So, in other words, according to Michael Mann, if some layman questions or criticizes a scientist’s results, it well within the rights of the scientist to attempt to silence ANY questioner or critic by hauling him into court.
That is, by any stretch of the imagination, settled science.
My only question for Mr. Mann is this …

  3. I loved the many times he referred to mal-investments and screw-ups overseen by “this” Senate. He is one of the best things that ever happened to America. They get Steyn and we get the Spawn. We’re so f….d!

  4. Perhaps Steyn should compose similar article addressed to the airhead in Ottawa and the media cartel that is so dictatorial that there is no so called “journalist” that would dare to oppose the Big Climate* diktat.
*Should be copyrighted by Mark Steyn.

  5. these climatists are behaving like those in the medical profession in the 1800s +/- who disputed the existence of microbes, and smeared any upstarts who had actually peered into the new gadget made of curved pieces of glass.
bah, humbug. harumph, fap, heresy!! heresy I say, heresy !!!

  6. You can harshly criticise judges in ‘merica.
You would end up in a prison for a long time if you criticise of one of the local snowflakes.

  7. The National Science Foundation that Mark Steyn talks about; the organization which granted 700 thousand to a crappy Broadway Musical has an annual budget of over 7 billion.
The money flows like a river from these corrupt US government entities.

  8. “They get Steyn and we get the Spawn.”
Mark Steyn is a Canadian citizen living in New Hampshire.
What he is doing with this lawsuit, if he wins, will benefit us all.

  9. Hey, Mr. Mann! All the kids are singing,
    ♫ Mikey’s got a wee one
    Mikey’s got a wee one
    Mikey’s got….♫

  10. “the Ringmaster of the tree-ring circus…”
That one had me laughing out loud. You gotta love his prose.

  11. It is getting very expensive for Steyn. Buy one or more of his books for Xmas and support him in a small way. The music history books about Broadway are a lot of fun.

  12. The man knows his rhetoric, I’ll give him that.
Too bad it was wasted at a Ted Cruz-led grandstanding sub-committee hearing on the climate science debate that was discredited even before it began by his inviting testimony from only one side of the debate.
Of course, Republican presidential candidate Cruz knew what he was doing. Four skeptic scientists at a Senate subcommittee hearing = no press. Three skeptic scientists and Mark Steyn = conservative blog/radio ecstasy + maybe some free coverage on Fox News. Plus it gives him another talking point at the next week’s CNN debate.
All this “official Senate business” is on the taxpayers’ dime, of course. You ought to be outraged, but it’s a waste of public funds that you happen to agree with, so of course you aren’t.

  13. The most important document ever to appear on this site.
    I AM NOT A SCIENTIST
would make a great bumper sticker

  14. Fabulous. It will zero effect on Prime Minister Awesome, his hair and his sycophants, however. You can’t reason people out of positions they weren’t reasoned into. It’s the new religion and the true believers have got to believe … in something.

  15. kt (kwick twit) in your zeal (or would that be seal) you missed a damn good opportunity to hit in here, butt then stupid is as stupid does.
Mark Steyn is brilliant, and actually quite smart, you are a emotional reactionary. As to “official Senate business” is on the taxpayers’ dime”, well there “hired” to do business of governing, or is that about your comprehensive pay grade??

  16. God love him, for spitting in the wind. The hold these people have on our governments and therefore us is unrelenting. They are not going to let go easily the rewards are too great for them.

  17. Wrong. There was a rep from the other side, the prof from Penn State, David Titley. The Sierra Club would have been invited but they preemptively declined. Please compare the cost of this “official Senate business” to the cost of the dog and pony show in Paris.

  18. @kt: Last I heard you were over at CNN headquarters trying to push the POST PARTUM meme as the cause of 14 dead and 30? wounded. How did that work out?
It’s like a rule with the Liberals. When you can not tolerate the facts you attack the person (mere “rhetoric”) or the process (“waste of public funds”) or try to divert the conversation (“testimony from only one side”)…… or, in this case, all of the above.
You should have just said “BE QUIET, you’re triggering me!”

  19. kt: “You ought to be outraged, but it’s a waste of public funds that you happen to agree with, so of course you aren’t.”
And if it were a “waste of public funds” that you happened to agree with?

  20. kt I disagree entirely. The road is sometimes lonely for those who stick their necks out and dare to travel a different path than the lemmings. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t continue.
I take my hat off to Steyn and Cruz. Time will eventually unveil the fraud for what it is, and it will be in no small part because of people like Steyn and others who had the courage to speak up.

  21. No one has been found guilty of defaming. I am a bit surprised that Mann was foolish enough to go after Steyn. Surely he he would have anticipated being the target of biting ridicule. People will forget the case, but Steyn’s wonderful prose will live on.

  22. It is, after all, a matter of FREE SPEECH…and at this stage of the game, with calls around the planet for those that disagree with the Narrative of the day, we are truly entering another Dark Ages.
Sweden wehre criticism of immigration policy is Illegal, calls in Quebec for Mandatory HRC hearings of anyone who disagrees with anything to do with Islam..and on it goes.
    Facism is what this is….
    SILENCE..!!I KEEL You..
Not so funny anymore is it..??

  23. Climate change is win-win for us. If we’re right, we get to gloat. If we’re wrong, millions of liberals drown.

  24. John you never disappoint. You never fail to live up to all the stellar qualifications for membership in the simpleton alliance. To defame, (notwithstanding our fascist human rights tribunals) one must be guilty of spreading malicious “untrue” information. True to form, as a liberal whatever, you have jumped to the conclusion that what Steyn said about Mikee was not factual. How about, “Hey Mikee, this is what happens when you lie. Welcome to the convention of scientific scrutiny.” Grow up you pointless nitwit!
