Full speed ahead, damn the torpedoes!

It looks a lot more like Trump doesn’t think much about his proclamations at all, or even pay attention when reporters ask questions. He’s just emoting to please the crowds. There isn’t any substance to Trump; he’s mainly an untethered id with unlimited resources and no boundaries. He makes broad statements about what he’ll do, and assure people it will be “great” and “elegant,” and that’s it, When pressed for how he plans to do it, Trump offers the same basic response — trust me.

  1. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – Trump is the white Obama.
    He even believes most of the same things, with a few significant exceptions. It absolutely boggles the mind why so many who call themselves conservatives have latched on to him. The only explanation I can come up with is the absolute lack of anything resembling conservatism from most (if not all) of the other candidates.
    Will somebody resurrect Calvin Coolidge and put him back in office?

What we really need is a substantive campaign on something concrete like “Hope and Change.” Every performer will tell you…”Know your audience.” A vast majority of American voters are mouthbreathing troglodytes. There is a reason that most television commercials are written on a fifth grade level. For a lot of the voters, the fifth grade was their senior year.

    But Trump isn’t going to make “America great again”. The tragic loss of character of the American populace guarantees this. I certainly won’t hold Trump to that impossible dream.

    Lance will hopefully one day see that not everyone who is a conservative comes from a farm nor do they fit any type of mold trump has spoken lots about his donations to both parties and defended himself well. I know this Trump will build the wall and it will be done in record time. Trump will also show no remorse for blowing isis and Islamic goat humpers to smithereens. he will not put his military into harms way with one arm and one leg tied just to make it fair for the U.N. to be happy. He will not follow rules of engagement that only help the enemy and only hinder the good guys.
    So i guess my point is Trump/Cruz 2016 , or The other way around,anything less and america will be finished. No one has the nutz to fight for it anymore and trump does he is a winner he wins maybe not pretty but if he is on your side who really cares what victory looks like as long as it is achieved as we just saw in our federal election and since Harper used “incrementalism” a lot of good that did to try to win over the people Trudeau gets in and starts butchering all the “incremental” changes Harper made. the left are ruthless classless spineless for all the compromise class and effort Harper did to please the left they gave him nothing.     Lance doesn’t care about unity he cares about pedigree, it’s all about university degrees and “experience” for lance. Lance will never be comfortable with an outsider he likes his comfy place and dare i say it kate is far more libertarian conservative then lance will ever be.     Secure borders and otherwise provide for defense
    Fight terrorists
    Fight national debt
    Fight growing federal government
    Preserve freedom
    There are other things too, but that’s enough to keep POTUS busy I think. Open to suggestions.
    Trump doesn’t seem like a perfect fit. Oh well. Better than some. He acts like Obama but might do the job I want him to anyway. Whoever gets elected GOP is going to get any and all negative publicity and be largely despised anyway.

During the last US election they treated Palin the same as Trump now. Hot Air would have assuredly treated Reagan with the same disdain they and Lance now shower on Trump.   44. The Republican Party has only themselves to blame for Trump. They should have sensed a problem when the Tea Party came to be years ago. They didn’t. In fact, they did the opposite and doubled down, moving even further away from Conservatism. When the Rs won both Houses in 2014, there was a very faint hope by many voters – who had essentially given up on the Republicans – that they now had a mandate to stop the crazy policies of the Left. But it’s as if the election never happened. There’s been no perceptible change from the Democrat Congress. That was the last straw. There is no remaining trust in the party. They are toast.

  50. Logically the next President should be Ted Cruz but there is no logic in the US just as there is no logic in what happen in Alberta. I live both in Oregon and Alberta and all the Obama voters I know are saying they are voting for Trump and most of them have not even heard of Ted Cruz. I know way more about their candidates then they do and they really just don’t care or have the time to do any worth while research just like the drones in Alberta.
